Sorry but that would be me. I once had a manager at a department store switch closing shifts with me (I was a supervisor with keys to the store.) On the night he closed (my normal night) he didn't complete any of the walk through check offs and that night the store was robbed after they left by people hiding in a stockroom. It should have been caught and it was absolutely his fault... and because he was the assistant store manager he decided to write me up for it because "it happened on my scheduled closing night." I refused to sign the write up so he proceeded to write me up for not signing, which I then refused to sign, thus prompting a new write up. That was all he did for an entire week, write me up for not signing the prior write up. Eventually the district manager caught wind and the assistant store manager could no longer give write ups without approval. I had received around 1,500 write ups and never took them seriously again.
I know the voice acting is female because the channel is likely managed by women, but the more of these shorts I watch on youtube, the more I realize that this is exactly what working with women is like. The women know the men can't say anything so the only thing they got left is to bully each other in the work place. And I have seen the pettiness myself get to a point where female co-workers will argue who is going to answer the phone if it rings.
@@superdave8248 sadly, I've seen that same stuff from guys. Also, the best person I ever worked with was a woman. You can't generalize everyone because of their gender.
@@shadowhunter2668 No, I didn't. I pointed out that I have seen men do what he said he has seen women do. I pointed out that not all women are like that and made the point that there are men that are like that. That's literally the opposite of a generalization due to gender as it doesn't lump everyone of a gender into the same behavior.

If you're trying to not seem difficult to work with, being calm and pleasant seems like the proper way to act to me. Some of you people, women especially, are way too emotional in a place of business. Always gossiping and picking at each other. Just do work instead
Not in reality. It means they bring the most bullshit to every situation. Intimidation, aggression and an inability to be respectful. People who don't put up with bullshit are not assholes every step of the way. People who are difficult to work with are toxic. They excuse their behavior, yet demand to be treated better than they choose to treat others.
EXACTLY!! I was told that a coworker was 'mean' and that the 'don't take no bullsh!t'. My response was to ask, 'Why would anyone take BS to her in the first place?' She was actually one of the nicest women that ive met in my entire 57 years of life. When i asked why they had that opinion of her, she said, 'Because its true. I DONT take their BS. I also dont take their backstabbing, their childishness, nor their love of getting in peoples personal business just to have something to talk about. Im here to do a job, and thats what I do.' She was not wrong in her assessment of the other employees, as I had already witnessed it.
When I was 19 I got my first write up at the restaurant I was working at. Our general manager was on vacation and we had these two other lower managers that were covering for him. One of them I knew hated me. She was always rude and no matter what happened things were always my fault. So the two of them call me into the office at closing one night and tell me I'm being written up for a certain behavior. I was shocked bc to my knowledge I had never acted like they were saying I was. I asked for an example, they wouldn't give me one. Since I was 19 I just accepted that and went home sad. Well, when our gen manager came back I asked him if we could talk. He said of course (he was always super nice and very professional) so I sat down with him and said "idk if these two managers told you but they wrote me up last week and they said it was for this certain behavior but didn't give me an example. I'd just like to know so I can know how to improve and do better." He said "well, they didn't even tell me they wrote you up and I didn't see any paper work over it. So it must've not been as bad as they were saying". He took it off my record (mainly bc there was no record of it, they just signed a paper and sent me home with it. No copies and no reporting to the higher manager.) I'm pretty sure they were just trying to intimidate me or make me upset bc, like I said, one of the two of them HATED me.
People will lie on you for no reason, and will actually hate you and be envious of you -- and you'll have done NOTHING to them! I worked with an awesome lady and we always had a great comradery. One day it all changed and she became cold and aloof. It stayed that way for as long as we worked together and I did not know why. Found out from her years later that her no good, cheating, manipulative husband-- now her ex-- had told her that he'd slept with several of her friends in their circle and had named a couple of us ladies at the job! I wouldn't know that guy if he jumped out in front of my car! She said later she found out that he'd lied about it, and just said mean and hateful things to hurt her. He also did it to isolate her from people who really cared for her and supported her, and made her paranoid and second guess who her real friends were. He was a despicable human being.
True. Also, they're the problem not YOU. So this animation is just BS. That's not how it is done in real life. When this happens where I work the co-workers just raise red flags on themselves. So 😂
This was actually such a shock to me as I got older, I always thought adults matured to some degree at least most of them, but from my experience the vast majority of people still act like children

I went through the same thing and found out my manager was lying to me. I ended up getting fired but the icing on the cake was 10 months later she got fired - LOL
She’s being accused of something. Her tone has very little to do with her response as to who is making an accusation against her. She has every right to be a stern in her response. She does not need to cow towel capitulate out of fear of losing her job. This is why you suckers get yanked around. 😏
So true! Basically, she's just a gossip. If you can't tell me what I did and who I did it to, then you're gossiping. And you're coming at me as if I'm a bad person - on the word of one person! Gossip. Now I'm gonna treat everyone with suspicion, because I don't know who's on my side and who's talking about me behind my back.
I think you missed the point here. The person is pointing out to Veronica that at least one person has found her difficult to work with. Veronica then goes into attack mode against what she feels threatened by. That isn't "gossip" that's toxic defensiveness.
I love how she put up her hand up to look outwardly and ask "Who told you that?" She already saw the BS coming from her manager and ready to shut down that conversation. 😂🤣😭☠️. People that are very direct often come off as hostile or intimidating.**IJS **
My boss told another coworker (who happens to be my best friend, of all people) that I am abrasive. 😐 If that means telling you the truth without using fairy dust sprinkles, I'll wear that t shirt.
I can’t help but notice that “difficult to work with” really means “this person has a backbone and sets/maintains healthy boundaries and i don’t like that about them”
THere isa healthy way of setting boundaries - and this 'Veronica' character has a way to go to learn how to do that in the right way. People lack people skills - this is not the way to handle this situation.
@@sparkfire22223 I noticed that. Veronica cut the manager off multiple times in the middle of a sentence, and acted very entitled to dominate the conversation. She may think that's "holding boundaries", but she's actually very aggressive in this interaction. She IS being difficult to work with, and the people who applaud this are likely a pain as coworkers or subordinates and terrible as bosses. Not terrible because they extract unpaid overtime - tho to be honest I would not be surprised if Veronica switched sides if given more power - but just because she's unnecessarily smug and self-righteous and would likely expect subordinates to cater to her every quirk. It is possible to hold boundaries with more wisdom and grace than this. The choices don't have to be confined to "be a doormat" or "be an ahole".
@@zephsmith3499 I totally agree with you - I popped a response video to this on my channel for fun. Completely false. The correct way to maintain healthy boundaries requires that you be able to effectively communicate your boundaries in a manner that allows the recipient to hear, understand AND desire to respect those boundaries in the future. Veronica may be telling others her boundaries, but the message she's communicating by being so combative is that everyone else's own boundaries now including never wanting to work with Veronica and thus leading her to be removed from her job.
The employee is making some valid points!! She’s barely leaving any room for the manager to continue speaking!! I love that bc that’s me!!! 😂😂😂😂 (in handling business matters; period!!!)

Like every UA-cam violation. You're told that you violated some guidelines, but not specifically what guidelines or what video or comment you left was the problem.
The problem is name dropping causes more issues than not name dropping. I've worked at places where the manager would give the name of the complainer to the person and it caused a lot of issues in the workplace. There's a very good reason they don't give details.
The ironic thing is you can get REALLY toxic people in the workplace who aren't actually doing anything wrong ON PAPER. Veronica strikes me as one of those sorts of people. You can NEVER pin anything on them - but they are just totally unpleasant people. Managers ask people to work overtime for no additional pay (which is illegal), and they won't even let employees choose their own flextime after they put in unpaid time. Management calls out Veronica in public on a conference call about a document they've been waiting on - but when Veronica points out that she gave the document to a project manager days ago, they suddenly want to take the conversation "off line" to avoid embarrassing the project manager. Managers tell employees to be 15 minutes early to work but not to clock in until their time starts. They also tell employees to come in half an hour early for unpaid morning meetings, and do a lot of other sketchy things.

Veronica is on point, there are a lot of snakes in the work place. After reading some of the people's comments, I need to set some of y'all straight. I personally watched a guy put another person down to promote himself. This is what went down: First, over the course of 2 months that instigator when to different people and through casual conversation talked about the innocent guy like a dog, spreading lies. After the instigator was able to spread lies to different people about the innocent guy he then mentioned it to the boss. The instigator waited until he was with the boss and a couple of colleagues and brought up the rumors going around about the innocent guy being a bad person. The other colleagues that was standing there jumped on the bandwagon and stated that they heard those rumors too. This made it more believable to the boss. And the boss start treating the innocent guy coldly. I had to pull the boss aside and tell him the truth about the matter and what I witnessed. I bet that a lot of you have been wronged at work unbeknownst to you that the co-worker that smiled at you the most was the one that was stabbing you in the back. If your once nice boss all of a sudden becomes cold and you didn't do anything, now you know 🧐 If you ever find yourself in this type of situation. Find somebody at the job that is neutral, someone that stays away from the politics. Ask them have they heard any rumors about you and what was said and who was saying it. In this way you can narrow down the culprit and clear your name. Also, it's a good idea to buy one of those secret video pen recorders, they're cheap, discreet and will help you in more ways than one.

I had such a problem with this at one job, me and another guy switched out who closed just to see if the problem person would keep making things up. She did, and she made complaints about things that happened a half-hour after I'd left for the day, for a whole week, until the guy I was switching out with told the supervisor and suddenly it stopped, but there was no apology or anything, she just looked for other ways to cause drama.
Same!!!! When the owner finaly caught her in a huge lie, she quit. Then he came to me saying" Wow I guess you weren't the problem afterall.. Really??? You think?!
Stuff like that totally happens. I had a covertly narcissistic micromanaging team leader with massive bias against me and easily manipulated by liars and gossips and corrupt abusers of power. Anything at all that annoyed her she would automatically wrongly assume I was responsible. When she thought it was me, she would loudly accuse me in front of everyone with a very annoyed tone. Then when she would find out it wasn't me, she would minimize it once she realized it was someone else. Some people are crazy.
This happened to me once. The principal called me in and told me there were multiple complaints about me. I asked for specifics so I could address the issue. He wouldn't give me specifics. He just said, “This is about how you treat kids.” By the time he was done, I left the office in tears. To this day, I still do not know what I did wrong. I wish I had seen this video earlier so I could have handled it differently. I really do strive to be the best teacher I can be.
If they can’t tell you what you did wrong then you didn’t do anything wrong enough to warrant them talking to you… if you were really doing something wrong, they would tell you. Especially when you are working with kids.
I'm so sorry that happened to you! Hopefully you got away from that bad boss quickly. My guess: The principal had an angry parent scream at them about you, but not give specifics (because it would make it obvious the parent was the problem). Instead of insisting on examples, your principal caved and promised to talk to you. At this point, a good principal would have told you about the confrontation in detail, preferably after asking YOU if you had had a problem with the kid.
This situation is what you should take straight to HR. Don't tell them you will, simply go to HR and tell them whoever approached you with this gossip is creating a hostile work environment. Write an email right after that interaction (if possible) and cc everyone above that person. Make sure HR is included, too.
The manager literally says the behavior to correct is being difficult to work with / combattive. The employee is responding by continuing the behavior. It's telling that so many just assume the manager is the only one with BS in the workplace. If you're being told, politely, by a manager that someone feels you're difficult to work with and you're response is to be defensive and compattive, then yea, you're not open to feedback from your team and from your manager; you're difficult to work with, lol. If she had responded by listening and negotiating with the manager, then added that someone might have dishonest motives, and that she'll try to do better but she doesn't appreciate the vague insinuations when it could easily be that someone else is at fault, then it would bolster her case, but she didn't... she just provided more evidence.

I absolutely understand the "protect the informer from potential retaliation," but we need to know what, exactly, we need to work on to fix the issue. And if it's just a single person reporting stuff, managers and HR can do some investigating.
Typical of employers "we have a vague, unsubstantiated rumor, alleging you did something wrong, with no evidence or even a chance for you to explain your side, but your at fault"
Would be better if it had gone to that without the BS about courts of law. This way it makes Veronica look like she's exactly as bad as the manager's saying.
Its about speaking Spanish around a coworker who can't understand it. Veronica's next argument is that if they feel left out they should learn Spanish.
Honestly this is just bad management. There should be a meeting, you should not talk in an accusatory way because, as the employee stated, this is a one sided story. Instead of putting the responsibility of an employee to “fix themselves” (especially without context and guidance) this becomes a management issue where you are not proving the right environment for growth and lack of conflict, so you have to also commit to that. Commitment from both sides to work on improvement goes a long way. Good management is supposed to care about their team and guide them in a way that meets KPIs and corporate expectations.
All these little vignettes are so right on. Why do they stress me out, though! They remind me of all the bad bosses I've ever had and all the times I should've stood up for myself when I was being gaslit or bullied… Thank God I'm not my own boss but these are all so truthful so thank you!
Normally I'd agree with you. The way I handle these sorts of issues is I say, "Hey Veronica. I've been told you are difficult to work with. She could do all her work and not ask anybody else to do more than they need to, but if her tone of voices always so hostile, I would say it’s unpleasant to work with, but I couldn’t really claim that it was difficult if she was not getting in the way of what I needed to do.

Shes accusing Veronica out of sheer rumor. Then telling Veronica to work on something she has no clue about what happened. That would be exasperating. I think all 3 people should have a talk together. Instead of a she said, she said.
When i first worked as a superviser, very young, i told my ppl to try and fix the conflict (im not your mother). If they couldn't fix it, i invited them both into my office so that we could all work on resolving the problem. That prevented anyone trying to cause trouble for anyone else, and let the complaining party know that they had no chance of spreading rumors behind anyone's back. Everything was said in front of the parties concerned. If it was legitimate, we fixed the problem. If it was someone trying to get another in trouble, that person was fired.
I would have been on Veronica's side, had she not answered "yep" in the tone of voice she did. Tells me she is difficult to work with and probably is a problem 😂
Had a manager at a previous job come to me saying I kept making mistakes. (strangely, right after I asked for a raise) Asked him to tell me what mistakes and why I was not told at the time so I could fix it. That "why was I not told" quickly devolved into "trying to protect me" so I just told him I can't fix things if you don't tell me. Strangely enough, never heard from that again and got a pretty big raise when I went somewhere else. Few months later, shop was closed.
This segment is so me! I had situations back in the past when people had mistreated and blamed things on me, and I had ended up getting fired. When she put her hand over her eyes and looked around saying, "Who told you that?" I was SCREAMING!!!
Yes I was looking for this comment to see if someone else noticed it. I was dying.
Yes. That was a slick little detail put in this video.
Girllllll hollering 😂
"I can't work on my behavior if I don't know what behavior supposedly was a problem."

He implied that if you work with a woman, that's what you will deal with. I pointed out that not all women are like that and made the point that there are men that are like that. That's literally the opposite of a generalization due to gender as it doesn't lump everyone of a gender into the same behavior.

High school drama carried over into some people’s work lifestyles 😂
Yes, it happens all the time just like in high school and there’s only one fix for it and you know what that is
When I was 19 I got my first write up at the restaurant I was working at.
Usually, 4 flat tires, will change anyone’s behavior.
Although, you may need to rinse and repeat several times.

Wow! I can relate to this one. Most of the time there was no real complaint and the boss was just fishing.
Some bosses are stupid manipulators and just want a reason to rile you up so they have something against you.
I went through the same thing and found out my manager was lying to me. I ended up getting fired but the icing on the cake was 10 months later she got fired - LOL
Tone of her voice is enough for management to "fix" the problem.
She’s being accused of something. Her tone has very little to do with her response as to who is making an accusation against her. She has every right to be a stern in her response.
She does not need to cow towel capitulate out of fear of losing her job.
This is why you suckers get yanked around. 😏
100%. She is definitely "difficult" to work with. Tone of voice alone is enough to make that true. I'm sure there's more though...
I concur. Tone in your voice could be construed as DIFFICULT. It is difficult for the manager to talk with Veronica right now.
Often they do it to protect themselves. Because these sort of people tend to just bring trouble

Same thing happens in healthcare 🤦 maybe more specifically the hospitals here
No, "if you can't tell me what I did and who I did it to, then", YOU REALLY NEED TO GET OUTTA MY FACE WITH THE RIFFRAFF.
I think you missed the point here. The person is pointing out to Veronica that at least one person has found her difficult to work with. Veronica then goes into attack mode against what she feels threatened by.
That isn't "gossip" that's toxic defensiveness.

Yep. It's unnerving when the drone actually advocates for themselves intelligently and calmly, but with a hard edge.

Then they got mad when the only thing which did change was my level of not tolerating their bullshit.

Management calls out Veronica in public on a conference call about a document they've been waiting on - but when Veronica points out that she gave the document to a project manager days ago, they suddenly want to take the conversation "off line" to avoid embarrassing the project manager.

Veronica is on point, there are a lot of snakes in the work place. After reading some of the people's comments, I need to set some of y'all straight. I personally watched a guy put another person down to promote himself. This is what went down:
First, over the course of 2 months that instigator when to different people and through casual conversation talked about the innocent guy like a dog, spreading lies.
If your once nice boss all of a sudden becomes cold and you didn't do anything, now you know 🧐
If you ever find yourself in this type of situation.

How are you supposed to correct a behavior if you don’t know what you’re supposed to correct lol

I literally went through this just recently and management refused to tell me who was complaining about me and I finally flat out said, "Then this meeting is over because if you won't tell me who then you're preventing me from conflict resolution which is part of our companys values and if you won't give me the opportunity to have a professional discussion with the coworker(s) that have an issue with me then there's nothing further to discuss." and I walked out while they were sitting there like 😮😮😮
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Your screen name definitely fits you into the type scenario you jus described 😅 seems like you and Veronika would get along juuuuust fine 😂😂😂
@@devantesimmons235 best compliment ever, thank you 😂😊 and yes. We'd definitely get along. I sometimes take mental notes at some of the things she says.
@@goddessofcha0s Mental notes? I'm dead 💀 😂😂😂 I been said I liked Veronika cz she gon set the record str8 like a heterosexual virgin Man lol.. I can tell you fall into the same class but dam you takn notes from her is tougher than Mike Tyson in his prime 🤣🤣🤣
@@goddessofcha0s Taking mental notes from her? I'm dead 💀😂 That's about as wild as an animal in the jungle lol.. I been said I loved how Veronika sets the record str8 but you takn notes from her is tougher than Mike Tyson in his prime 🤣🤣🤣
All them was straight Facts ‼️
Facts I’m the same don’t bring me no - he say she say mess!! To grown for that😂😂😂😂
I absolutely understand the "protect the informer from potential retaliation," but we need to know what, exactly, we need to work on to fix the issue. And if it's just a single person reporting stuff, managers and HR can do some investigating.
she went whole lawyer on her. 😅😅
Typical of employers "we have a vague, unsubstantiated rumor, alleging you did something wrong, with no evidence or even a chance for you to explain your side, but your at fault"
...and then the employee proving it's all true before the manager has finished their first sentence lol
Perfectly said.😂
😂😂😂😂... I hate that! How can you not tell me information about me? Managers kill me with that 😂
Exactly people pull this BS everyday of the week it is sickening the things the haters will go through to get you in trouble or fired
I wish this didn't cut off when it did, when she was about to explain that she can't form a solution if they won't specify the problem.
Love this!! Too many times managers want to “counsel” without knowing the entire story or situation and you never allowed to explain.
Normally I'd agree with you.
The way I handle these sorts of issues is I say, "Hey Veronica. I've been told you are difficult to work with. Can we talk, see what the issue may be and figure these things out?"
But Veronica immediately told me everything I need to know that the accusation is true by being combative and difficult to deal with in that moment.
Veronica knew to expect some bullshit right off the bat.
PREACH! I work in a lab alone for work and it's great. I had plenty of otther work experience with garbage just like this.
I'm trying to get a job like that
@@rsvp89 Keep trying. They're out there. Get some skills in mills or other industry. There are still people to work with, but many of us are introverts and enjoy the quiet.
@@stealthcamo712 thank you
"I'm telling you that people think you're creating a hostile work environment, but in order to prevent a hostile work environment I can't tell you who is accusing you."
Yep. Sounds like HR.
Been there done that! Veronica is spot on!
Love how she says “who is it” while looking around!
You're not lightening up the mood in the work environment if you go about telling employees that "somebody" said "something" about them, but you can't say who or what... Everybody will be suspicious of everybody, great team building.
I really find the voice acting of the manager flawless! I assume it's the same person doing both voices...
Like it or not, Veronica is snappy
I just love Veronica!❤
This one seems so real!!
Veronica would know the situation, or has difficulty with everyone so can’t narrow it down.
Why cant I like this video HARDER??!!
I mean, i applaud Veronica for always standing up for herself. But i believe 100% that the person who said she was hard to work with was telling the truth 😅
I said something similar above, but what I said was that she might be unpleasant to work with and to me that’s not quite the same as being difficult. She could do all her work and not ask anybody else to do more than they need to, but if her tone of voices always so hostile, I would say it’s unpleasant to work with, but I couldn’t really claim that it was difficult if she was not getting in the way of what I needed to do.
That's stupid. In the few seconds of this video, it is apparent Veronica makes accusations, expresses anger, looks for revenge, and overtalks her manager. She deserves to be fired.....unless she's Black, of course.
@@jmdinlove5454stupid
😂😂😂😂
@@jmdinlove5454you sound like a manager. Veronica doesn’t take crap, knows her labor laws and not once has a manager complained about her performance, but always wanting favors, etc. Go Veronica💫👍🏾🥳
I wish i woulda seen these videos years ago! It woulda helped me deal with these condescending managers..cause me alot of stress anxiety unnecessarily
I love love love these!
Y i feel like the employee was gaslighting 😭
Veronica be out here talking Slick!! All while keeping her job!!
Veronica giving my the words to take care of myself! ❤😂
Veronika is the hero we didn't know we needed
I would have been on Veronica's side, had she not answered "yep" in the tone of voice she did. Tells me she is difficult to work with and probably is a problem 😂
😂
Had a manager at a previous job come to me saying I kept making mistakes. (strangely, right after I asked for a raise)
Asked him to tell me what mistakes and why I was not told at the time so I could fix it.
But let's just say I know what I know now, and definitely, in a court of law, I wouldn't have to know who they are because it would lead up to retaliation.
I'm not the person to retaliate. I have better things in my life to do because you don't like yourself!
I love ❤ this ish 😂
