The reason the Switch is successful is cause it's arguably perfect. You don't need another system. It works well and the OLED is ground breaking. Playing it portably is awesome.

Is the Game Boy technically the longest life span for any system from Nintendo? It came out in 1989, and the Color didn't come out until 1998, which for some reason, Nintendo kind of combined the original Game Boy and Game Boy Color for sales figures. If you want to take that into consideration, the Game Boy brand lasted until 2001 with the Game Boy Advance. That means over an entire decade of support for one system from Nintendo. The Switch maybe the longest console, but it's definitely not the longest system or handheld.
I always skip the credits anyways I wouldn't know who works on any game/movie/TV anyways. I think the people who make the games are the only people who watch the credits, as rightly or wrongly hardly anyone else cares.
Translators deserve credit if the client prefers their rewrite over the original material. That will hardly ever happen because a translator's work is not creatively original, but derivative.
A lot of people didn't notice, but it had already beat Nintendo's record between console releases in North America a year ago. Nintendo has never gone more than 6 years between new console launches in NA, but the Switch is about to hit 8 years in NA!
