Awesome fishing guys. Just wish more anglers would do what you guys are doing down here in Cape Town at Macasar and Strandfontein, instead of seeing how many big cob can be caught and taken home. Yes nothing wrong with taking one home but try releasing more to preserve the stocks. Enjoyed the video, keep it up.
They should maybe relook at the daily limits in Falsebay then. Seeing that the limit is 5 in Cape Town but only one up the eastern cape. And the size limit is smaller in Cape Town 🤷🏻♂️ still wish that could be explained to me
@@Seegsoutdoor the difference is that the kob east of Algalhus is dusky kob and west is silver kob. Duskies females only mature around 1m and males around 110cm or other way around I am not too sure. But the sexually mature way later than Silver kob. Silver kob sexually mature around 55cm. Silver kob also has a more successful breading pattern to that of a dusky kob. So the ratio of the offspring to that of a dusky is higher. So in short Silver kob are faster breeders than dusky kob.
This my Bru, is the best kinda fish to fish from from beach or lagoons or rivers in the Eastern Cape... My choice of fishing was done right from Kenton on Sea, Port Alfred, East London, Cintsa, and Kei River... Whooohaaa... Stawe Lina my Bru. Hahaa...
I grew up there as a youngster, got so many fond memories of my adventures with my mates, way before the Eco lodge was established and only cottages - damn I miss Nqabara so much
Absolutely lovely and fantastic. Wat n pragtige verskeidenheid. Die manne het dit geniet. Hoop julle het bietjie vis geeet ook. Mooi manne. Briljante hengel en video. Drankie Zander.
Lekker session boet, we have these fish in Australia we call them jew or mulloway, in the US there called white sea bass. You guys are keen dancing on the reef with waves.
I have a question/advice needed , I have a Daiwa Saltis 40 multiplier paired with a Daiwa Saltis 13”6 medium multiplier rod- I want to spool the reel with some mono backing and braid main line, mainly targeting large cob and mussel crackers - what’s your recommendation on backing and main line and lengths - thanks in advance.
One more question please, I use a Okuma Azores Xp8000 on a Precision 14 rod for mainly rocks targeting medium edibles and scratching as well as throwing soft paddle tails, currently I’m finding braid doesn’t hold up well so reefs and rocks even with a 5m flouro leader, would you recommend me changing to a braid backing with a mono main line - I mainly use 30lb Jarvis Walker mono which seems to take a lot of punishment - in your opinion would you go this route or rather try a more robust braid - if so what’s your recommendation - thanks in advance.
I use braid amongst the rocks all the time and it holds up, dont use a 5m flouro or mono leader rather use a thick braided leader such as a 100lb or 120lb braided leader of 5-7m then add about a 1m of mono before you attach your trace that mono should be at least as thick as your hook trace
Lekker Xander 🤙 if you don’t mind my weekly question. I noticed in your old videos you had a gomexus knob on your stellas. Now you use the standard knob. Is there a reason ?

Great video 🎣👍
Hi guys. Love the videos. Would like you to know that here in California we name your Kob, White Sea Bass. They look very similar.
Great video, Xander. What a session for you guys and a nice mixed bag. Why didn't you tag any Kob after tagging all the bronze bream?
Thanks! We unfortunately used all our tags we had with us on the bronze bream….
Lekkerte op sy beste! Locals verstaan nie dat n men's die vis terug sit nie.
good fishing❤
Like watching your videos wil be awsome to fish with you one day
Nice man nice. Tevrede.
Hi Xander. What is a five five hook snood and fixed trace please bud?
Hi, 0,55mm is hook snoot is the thickness of the mono for the trace. Fixed trace is when your sinker doesn’t slide and is fixed to your swivel🤙🏻
Top stuff, but y can't we download anymore
I don’t know hey, you are not the first to ask it…. I didn’t make any changes. I will see if something changed within UA-cam
This was epicness.

I will add the detail in the next episode 👌🏻
Awesome guys, nou dis lekkerrrr.

Hi, let me get it straight… you want to put the braid as a topshot on the multiplier to use as mainline?
I use braid amongst the rocks all the time and it holds up, dont use a 5m flouro or mono leader rather use a thick braided leader such as a 100lb or 120lb braided leader of 5-7m then add about a 1m of mono before you attach your trace that mono should be at least as thick as your hook trace

Yeah, the qomexus handle tend to slip when it is wet. I prefer the original Shimano handle. 🤙🏻
