I believe someone is impersonating you in your comment section.
Yes they are selecting "winners".
So glad you guys posted this message, now I won't follow the link. I was wondering because I never win anything LOL, I got really excited... bummer LOL
Yeah, I was wondering about the different channel as well when I got the message from UA-cam. Glad someone else commented on this, thanks.
the matter is probably thicker, when I replied to this message under my comment, my answer was deleted, when I replied to my comment the same sentence, the information about the prize disappeared as well as my answer, but the information about the prize is still under other comments. When I tried to report to YT that someone is impersonating, YT gives me information that @ebnovels channel does not exist and I can't report it
Finally, they gave the books their own distinct art covers instead of just relying on the games and netflix art. Makes it feel like its own thing
There already was by Orion and Gollancz.
The best covers are those OG by SuperNowa
Finally! A beautiful english hard covers with original art, without annoying netflix logo or pictures. Getting them all!
There have been so many gorgeous editions and covers in other languages in the past but english has been lacking so happy to see these! :)
I appreciate that there's no 'Netflix' logo anywhere on the books.
I like the short stories! Thank you for always being kind to your subscribers and giving back whether it be books or glasses. Thank you 🙏
I love the entire series, but my favorites are definitely the short story collections, especially Sword of Destiny since it introduced Ciri, and its final story completely melted my heart. It was everything I wanted from the Witcher books after playing the game.
You’re my most favorite booktuber to date. I love the attention to detail and really evident OCD which satisfies my critical eyes. Keep rocking.
These hardcover editions are so gorgeous!! I can't wait to go through and look at all the pictures in the short story collections. Thanks to you and Orbit for this amazing opportunity!! In preparation, I decided to start listening to the audiobooks, starting with The Last Wish.
Blood of elves is my favorite but batism of fire... That cover! and green (I love green)
Thank you Elle and Orbit! That is so incredibly kind and generous! Perfect for holiday season coming up❤️ 🤞🤞🤞
My favorite in the series is Lady of the Lake. I just loved all the threads coming together and I always love an unconventional ending. I'm not usually a fan of battle scenes but the one in this book was so brilliantly done.
These new editions are beautiful!
My OCD is so satisfied with this video, Elle. So happy to see the spines all aligned like that. I haven't finished the series yet, so my favorite so far is still The Last Wish collection of stories! So kind of you and Orbit to host such a huge international giveaway! :)
Yess! Finally I can purchase all but the last book, and they will look amazing!
The Last wish is my favorite! It's probably just nostalgia glasses since it's my first introduction to the series but still. It's beautiful!
I have to admit that I haven't read all the books in the series yet, I'm only halfway through it. However, I absolutely love The Last Wish as it made me fall in love with reading and especially, fantasy again (I've been struggling with being a consistent reader for the last couple of years and after picking up The Last Wish, I read the next three ones in less than a month). So it holds a very dear place in my heart.
But as I said, I haven't finished it yet, so I might have to edit this comment once I'm done with it :D
And thank you Elliot for hosting this giveaway ❤️
Edit: still not done with the series yet, however, I've finished Baptism of Fire a while ago and absolutely understand why most people love it the most. I enjoyed every second of reading it, but due to the reasons mentioned above I think TLW continues to be my favourite book of the series :)
I completely agree. I’m in the same spot! I’ve been reading a lot of heavy nonfiction and philosophy lately and it’s just burnt me out. Even some heavy fantasy like Tolkien was a bit of a slog to get through even though I’ve read a lot of his works before. I think I just needed a break from heavy reading, wanted to just enjoy some easy reading. I just flew through The Last Wish and am ready for more!
@@cliffordduhh45 I'm happy that you've had the same experience with the Last Wish/ The Witcher series as me ☺️ I finally feel much more comfortable and less intimidated reading fantasy books in general, but so far nothing has been as enjoyable and easy to get through as the Witcher novels. Hopefully you'll continue to love reading the series just as much as I do :)
I have to go with Lady of the Lake - the way this story comes together at the end and then IMHO is left to a bit of interpretation at the very end is really fascinating, Cant wait to read these again some day
I still like the short stories the most - both volumes. Not because they are the best but because how the journey and the world building started.
I also want to thank you for this short review, I really like how beautiful and how different the covers are and how it still all manages to stay in similar 'mood'.
Finally - I have to add that I don't want the books, someone else who cannot read them in the original Polish would surely need them more than me. I just wanted to comment because I want to support this video.
Take care!
The Last Wish. I read it while recovering from a concussion and had to avoid screens for a month. All I wanted to do was play the game and so I got the physical version of the book instead. It was such a joy to escape to a fantasy realm while being laid out in bed unable to really do much else.
Time of Contempt is my favourite one, mainly because of that awesome banquet scene where we meet so many great characters and have awesome conversations and deeply moving ones like the ones between Geralt and Yennefer.
Agreed!!!
I've only read the first book, The Last Wish, and I loved it, the lore is amazing and all the fairylike stories elements are amazing. My favorite short story was A grain of truth.
And I love the way Andrzej Sapkowski uses slavic lore in his world building.
This illustrated edition is amazing.
Wow!! The colors and illustrations for each of these hardbacks is just stunning! I love the color of Lady of the Lake you don’t come across many purple covers. Orbit knocked it out of the park on this Witcher set ❤ My favorite book of the series is Baptism of Fire because we get more interaction with Geralt and Dandelion which I love to read… and the ending!
My favourite book in Witcher series is definitely Blood of Elves. I just love the beginning of the story that sets out this incredible journey. The way that Ciri is more of the focus in this book, especially her training and time at Kaer Morten. And I absolutely adore the scenes with all the witchers together and Vesemir on top of them all ❤️
baptism of fire is my favorite. THOSE COVERS the art is actually so incredible i love that they have different artist for each one
Oh my heavens are they GORGEOUS! My favorite in the series would have to be Season of Storms or Sword of Destiny. It's really difficult for me to chose from those two.
Oh man! Now I GOT to get my hands on these editions! They’re so beautiful 😍 my favorite book of the series is The Time of Contempt! Love you so much!!
Thanks a lot for the overview!
I will grab one, mostly for the map. 'Tower of Swallows'' cover and colours are my favourites.
Love that finally we have hardback editions! My favorite of the Witcher books is "The Lady of the Lake". The whole book is a rollercoaster of emotions which had me both laughing and crying, and THAT ENDING totally loved it. I really enjoyed that Andrzej Sapkowski introduced more layers of the world in the book. Overall I feel that the book is totally unappreciated and needs more love.
The short story collections. These editions are extremely beautiful. I love that publishers are realizing the value of book art (covers, endpapers, and illustrations) and artists. I love reading and carrying around beautiful books (I also have a handbag obsession, but I digress :).
The art on the new covers is phenomenal 🧡
Baptism of Fire is one of my favourite books in the series.
My favorite is Time of Contempt.
I know, I am in the minority but it is what I feel.
The book opens with a messenger and then we get back to Ciri and Yeneffer going into a city where Ciri has a small, almost cute adventure while exploring the market in that city. A huge massive event happens in the middle of the book.
And then there is the desert sequence that many people find kind of sloggish, but I dont I felt so much connected to Ciri, I had a bottle full of water by my side but I still felt the thirst and the hunger she went through and it's really rare that a book has made me feel such amount of empathy for a character. And of course the Rats show up towards the end and their intro is just awesome.
The UK paperback and the special edition in this video both have this purple theme going on which resonates so well with the content in this book (the conflict and then the all out magical brawl between the mages) and I love it.
Baptism of Fire has to be my favorite. I love the journey the characters take and the ending kicker with “Geralt of Rivia” is my favorite moment in the entire series.
I love the 2 short story books, The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny. I loved how each story had a moral lesson.
These are beautiful. I don’t have a favorite because haven’t read the series yet but it is on my TBR. I’ve heard good things.
The Last Wish! Probably because it's what introduced me into the Witcher.
My heart is happy with the richness of the colors! My favorite book is either Baptism of Fire (for the fish soup) or Sword of Destiny which features one of my favorite short stories ever outside of just the Witcher.💛
I love how vibrant the colors are!!! My favorite installment is Time of Contempt.
Stunning 😍 My favorite would be the second short story collection. So far the short stories are all I have read.
My favorite is the first book because it introduced me to this world and the characters, and I FELL IN LOVE!!!
Thanks for this amazing showcase !
I've finished the Witcher series a few days ago so it's still fresh in my memory. My favorite book is The Lady of the Lake , a good conclusion but oh god it was hard to read some parts
Time of Contempt has to be my favorite!
Loved this video and the inclusion of all the details of these beautiful editions.
The Last Wish is still my favorite for its introduction to the world and Geralt outside of the video games. I’m so thankful they’ve given us these to pick instead of the Netflix sticker paperbacks
I havent finished the series yet, but if I had to pick a favorite I think I'd go with The Last Wish, because I like circling back to the short stories every now and then when I don't have the time or mental space for starting up a new novel.
So far my favorites are still the short story collections but I haven't finished the series yet. Would love to do so reading these editions.
Baptism of Fire!
Thank you for showing these! They are absolutely stunning. And thank you also for displaying them in such a thorough and organized way.
That's so awesome of you. I haven't read this series yet although I've been wanting to. Those editions are stunning.
My favorite is the last wish so far, but I haven't finished reading the series yet!
The Eeitions are really pretty! I lobe how they match, especially the spines.
I really like how you did the video, it was really helpeful. Since I am a student without a lot of money I always think quite long before I purchase something expensive, so this video is really useful and entertaining :)
still working on the series but loved last wish the most so far. I'm just glad there's a series of hardbacks and no netflix sticker!
My favorite book in the series is The Tower of the Swallow. I know it's usually among less favorite ones for most people but really that scene near the end (don't want to spoil) and the entire introspect we get with Ciri just won me over.
Although I will say that among these covers, Lady of the Lake is both my favorite color scheme and art.
This is the first time I’ve actually really looked at the special editions so thank you Elliot for doing this video! My favorite would probably be baptism of fire and I love the green of the cover❤️
I love all of the books, because of nostalgia mostly - I've read them for the first time 17, maybe 18 years ago, when I was a teenager. But if i had to, I'd choose Baptism of Fire - Chrzest Ognia.
And you made me want to re-read them again! :-) I haven't done that for several years. Those covers are gorgeous, I wonder if they will be available in Poland.
The last wish has always been my favorite. The short stories were the best!
The Last Wish is my favorite in the series! These editions are absolutely stunning! Orbit really did an amazing job with them! Thank you for sharing images of the books and artwork!
My favorite in the series would have to on the short stories side. Has to be Sword of Destiny. Damn those covers really do amaze me.
I agree! Baptism of Fire is my favorite, as well.
I loved Blood of Elves. Ironically, I had bought the book on a whim years ago and couldn't get into it. I didn't know anything about the Witcher, just liked the cover. Years later, I've watched the show and read the books, and absolutely love the world of the Witcher!
The Tower of Swallows is my personal favourite. It's just... Perfect. This video was so fun to watch, btw!
I’ve asked my sister to get the illustrated two books for my 53rd birthday. Not looking forward to being 53. Thanks for the brilliant video.
Frankly, it is impossible to choose. All of them are my favorites. 🧐 I will need to refresh the series once more.
Those are beautiful editions.
Wow. These hardbacks are beautiful. My favorite is the sword of destiny.
I thought I'd end up replacing my hodgepodge of this series with the new paperback versions at some point as I usually prefer paperback plus they're cheaper. After watching this video though, I've been convinced to go with the hardbacks as they are beautiful. Tower of Swallows is probably my favorite.
Those editions are amazing, appreciate you providing a first look. If I had to choose one as my favorite it would be baptism of fire.
Thanks for the review! I've been eyeballing the Witcher series and as silly as it sounds, couldn't decide on the cover art because I didn't really like the art on the box sets. These are beautiful and just got a set for myself. Thank you!
Those covers are so good! Baptism of Fire is my favourite.
Time of contempt hooked me and forced a speed read on holiday last year. Although last wish had some pretty awesome stories...
My favorite is The Last wish, collection of stories. Such wonderful editions!
It's Sword of Destiny for me! It did an excellent job of making the world of Witcher feel more real and textured.
Wow those covers look great! Those colors! ♥️
I want to enter the contest, but I haven’t read the Witcher yet. So I’ll give you my favorite cover. I really like how different Tower of Swallows is, both in color and design. The person riding the horse is so much smaller than the people on the other covers, and that allows it to show off the big tower.
Thanks for watching and commenting,Congratulations Lucky winner🎁 Message me Above ☝🏾☝🏾 I have something for you🎉🎁
Haven’t actually read any of the other ones so I guess the first collection of short stories are my favourite!
The Last Wish is my favourite, and I'm thrilled with how these editions look!
My favourite book was the Baptism of Fire, I just loved that one. And I might give the series a reread soon.
A bit basic maybe, but my favourite has to be either the last wish or sword of destiny. I just really like the short stories 😁
Thr Last Wish is my favourite, love the whole series but I just fell in love with the world and characters straight away when I started TLW
My favorite is the Sword of Destiny. These new covers are so gorgeous. 😍
So far Sword of Destiny has been my favorite. The short stories were the ones that got me hooked on Geralt’s story.
Such an interesting character.😊
My husband has been trying to get me into the games, but I love the show, and the books the best. My favorite has to be The Last Wish and Lady of the Lake second favorite. Those short stories just hooked me in from the beginning, and that end was such a thrilling ride. I think I read the whole series in a week. Definite book hangover after 🤤
Great video! Great looking hardcovers. I already have all books in Kindle, but I will be ordering the entire series in hardcovers. Baptism of Fire is my favorite, followed closely by first book, The Last Wish.
Thanks for watching and commenting,Congratulations Lucky winner🎁 Message me Above ☝🏾☝🏾 I have something for you🎉🎁.
My favorite book in the series is The Sword of Destiny, for sure, and Yennefer on it’s cover looks amazing and a lot like Yen from The Witcher 3 game.
All the covers look gorgeous, props to all the artists, but the Lady of the Lake cover portrays Ciri so differently from what I imagined and saw in the games and Netflix show, that it just doesn’t seem right for me.
My favorite book is the Last Wish. I love introductions to characters and this one does not disappoint!
Ordered the first one hopefully will be able to complete the collection before they go out of print.
These are absolutely gorgeous. My favourite is The Last Wish.
These editions look great!!! My favorite is the The Last Wish short story collection. :)
I also love the last wish, those twisted fairy tales short stories! Poor renfri...
Sword of Destiny is my favorite Witcher book. Love the short stories!!
These editions look so nice! I have only read the Last Wish so far, so I guess that would be my favorite at this moment :D
I also love the last wish, those twisted fairy tales short stories! Poor girl Renfri
These look amazing! I can't give you a favorite as I have not read them yet! I have them on my TBR I just haven't gotten to them yet.
Idk why but something about the last wish and the nostalgia I have with it just makes it my fav. I love the series so much tho. It's hard to pick a fav.
What wonderful, vibrant editions those are! Glad to see they aren't so muted considering the general atmosphere of the Witcher series, lol. Lady of the Lake was my favorite. I loved the otherworldliness and incorporation of actual real-world mythos (Arthurian). Plus, we got to go to Toussaint and get more Regis.
The Last Wish is my favourite, however the Sword of Destiny cover is my favourite of the new covers, I love that blue!!
I have a hard time picking favorites but I think my favorite might be Baptism of Fire. I love how these editions look.
Thanks for watching and commenting,Congratulations Lucky winner🎁 Message me Above ☝🏾☝🏾 I have something for you🎉🎁
Thank you for sharing the covers and looks of all the hardcovers! My favorite book in the series is The Last Wish. I became a Witcher fan from the Netflix show and the fact that so many stories from Season 1 come from The Last Wish makes it my favorite. Thanks again for all the great content, reviews, and your love for books!
I haven't started on the series, would love to read the short stories and continue on from their😊 Thank you for the video
The Baptism of Fire would have to be my favorite, it’s what propelled me to finishing my first entire series since I was in elementary school! Would love to have a nice collection set to add towards my newly growing bookshelf collection :)
wow!! I love the new covers
They all look amazing. Even though they used different artists it's still cohesive enough that it doesn't bother me at all. Definitely picking this up soon
My favorite book would have to be baptism of fire. These editions have really blown me away!
My favorite is Baptism of Fire! The artwork for the series is amazing!
Those editions are beautiful. My favorite so far is the Last Wish.
they're so gorgeous! i haven't read it so i didn't know what book is my favorite but i LOVE the show and want to read it!
Wow, beautiful cover designs. Favorite is the last wish!
The Sword of Destiny is probably my favorite, but Time of Contempt is a close second for me. I have to say that’s my favorite cover art as well.
I learned about this series from you - love the hardback editions!
