How about something like a $500 used parts build challenge? You could include the handicap of having to pick up the parts in person and only be allowed to get around by bike Then do a follow up where you have a week or two to sell them and see who loses the least, or even makes money.
I have a lime green Nature Boy SSCX Canti. She was originally built up to race gravel and cyclocross. I'm currently the bikes 3rd owner/ racer. She is sporting a Ritchey WCS bar, stem, seatpost in wet white. Mavic Ksyrium Equipe in white, TRP EUROX white magnisum cantis. The first owner really did pull all the stops out with a solid race build. I've been racing and riding for 44 years the ride is profoundly enjoyable on quite demanding single track, heavy roots and all sorts of shit found in typical German forest. The Nature Boy is one of my favourite bikes I have raced and just ridden for fun.
hey folks thanks for the information and reviews one of the reasons I bought a All City Nature Boy, in this video you mention trying different tires on the Nature Boy, but I couldn't find a video linked or the info in the video - were you able to fit 44s succesfully?
Kilo WT as cheaper alternative? It has a unique combination of more track geo and large tire clearance and rack/fender mounts. Would love to see a review of the kilo wt.
Sounds good, I appreciate the feedback. I have a langster as well, but it doesn't make a great commuter (no tire clearance for >25mm or rack/fender mounts) Debating if I'm keeping both or selling the langster.
I'm just glad I got my nature boy before they discontinued the rim brake version. I don't race my NB, so disc brakes are to my mind overkill. Especially on a fixed gear
As stupid it seems.. i too like my commuter bike very much. The pure feeling of not caring about weather on expensive parts, the inox steel fenders and rear rack with bags.. My 30 years old German frame with modern wheels and handlebar exactly like yours I was caring up to 30-35 kg load few times.
HEY IM THIRD TO COMMENT THIS IS SUCH A PRIVILEGE AND I LOVE COLLABS BETWEEN ZACH AND OTHER FIXED GEAR UA-camRS ALBEIT IT WAS JUST ONE DO MORE COLLABS MY DOOD
It's fine. They only downside is the slightly weird seatpost size, it's not too esoteric but a shame it's not just 27.2 otherwise it's cool, carbon fork is nice too
demonstructie How does it compares to other entry level fixed gears like fuji? I cant decide which one to choose. I'm in Netherlands and here our opitions are pretty limited
Hey demonstructie, although I live in Netherlands I don't know dutch yet, sorry. Therefore I'm gonna reply in english. I'm looking for a complete bicycle since I'm quite new and I don't trust myself either to build or to find a good deal at marktplaats, haha. Dolan Pre Cursa and On One Pompino are really good bikes from what I've seen. But with shipment, pedals and everything else they are almos twice de price if compared to Fuji or CMNDR. What do you think? Would you still go for Dolan? Do you think it worths the price difference?
Oh no problem, I was like well that's a coincidence haha. It's always god to know your limitations so you don't get in over your head so if that's how you feel its best to buy new and complete. Both the Dolan and the On One are great. If you want a fast bike with drop handlebars and you’re considering maybe trying your hand at some track racing at some point, definitely go with the Pre Cursa. If you plan to ride your bike year-round, in all kinds of weather conditions with a rack and fenders, and want the option to go single speed if fixed gear turns out not to be your thing, then go with the extremely versatile Pompino. The Fuji and CMNDR are really somewhere in between. They're not as “true track” as the Dolan or as versatile as the Pomp, but are a lot cheaper, the Fuji looks more traditional and the CMNDR looks very distinctive which you might like. Can't go wrong with either I guess!
CroMo doesn't rust because it's stainless steel. They just add chromium to the alloy mixture to make it stainless. It's not because of any coating. If it had no finish or paint it still wouldn't rust.
@@finalbattle777 Yes it does. If you find CroMo or stainless that rusts, it's a cheap imitation made to fool the consumer. I bought some flat ware that is stamped stainless steel. When I soaked one of the spoons overnight, it rusted. Caveat Emptor. Let the buyer beware.
bullwhip johnson crmo does not equal to stainless. A cromo would rust on the surface, but the rust wouldn't corrode through the metal. Stainless has a high concentration of chromium in comparison to crmo. That makes it "stainless". In the common 4130 crmo, the percentage of chromium is 0.80-1.10. In stainless, the percentage of chromium is 10.50 minimum. This makes it so that crmo rusts at a slower rate than normal steel but still rusts. In comparison due to the relatively much higher chromium content in steel, stainless doesn't rust. I could go further into the chemistry of it with the little I learned, read and understood if you'd like. Regarding your flatware, I won’t have any comment on it as I'm not an expert and I do not know or see what you've experienced Sources: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/41xx_steel en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stainless_steel

Zach Gallardo I think you have an easy next video of "Fixed vs. Freewheel". Yeah, I saw that eye-roll Zach.
Zach Gallardo head to head sprint must be done
Zach Gallardo - I'm enjoying the collaborative videos. You guys work well together on screen. More videos please.

You guys work very well together! These last two videos have been exceptional Zach!
Nicely done, you guys seem more comfortable with each other now, thanks for the video
You guys should do a video about some njs/vintage track bikes. Some people think I'm crazy for riding mine on the street, but I friggin love it
Great video...loved the style with both of your opinions!!!!!
As I watched this, my eyes crossed a little and a weird Zach - Michael combined person appeared between you both to give the review. 😂 nice work guys.
Hey dude great video what front rack is this ?

Looking to buy an All-City Nature Boy for my daily commute. I've been using mountain bikes to commute since 16, and now this is my next bike.
Any cheap alternatives to the nature boy? A single speed cross bike with good tire clearance?
Surly crossxcheck it's available as a single speed. I have one.. Its awesome.
koOl wheels .. perfect for commutin for the collection.
Michael knows what's up .
Dreams really do come true!
Awesome review as Always Brotha ! Ride on and be safe Fam ! 👍😎

I just ordered one. I ride singlespeed, so toe overlap isn't as big of a deal. I would like to add 35-38m tires and fenders if possible.

Keep this going guys!
Hi how’s it going wanted to know what basket this was and how you have it set up
Also what handle bars do you have on there ?! Trying to find something similar to them thanks great video
Collabs are great.
Nice format - you're making good content together there.
Does Zach have a video on recommended tires? Mine are pretty shot.
“If you ain’t rubbin’ you ain’t Thuggin’” ...LOL
Is the State bicycle co 4130 core Line any good?
Nature boy has 130 mm or 135 mm rear clearance? Please let me know
Thoughts of the new All City Nature Boy Disc?
I'm just glad I got my nature boy before they discontinued the rim brake version. I don't race my NB, so disc brakes are to my mind overkill. Especially on a fixed gear
I just put on townie bars, any tips on riding harder or uphills?
do a collaborative review of the kilo tt

Wald 137 basket zip tied to a Nitto M12 front rack

Will you be building another bike anytime soon?
Do another nature boy bike check!

Natchaaaa boi ric flairrrr. It’s piss it sick. ✌️ out buy
Hey guys i like to bike my ride too can i not be excluded? :(
That bike would look great with a wound up fork
I get pedal strike all the time on my Big Block, so I don't think that's a cross geometry thing.
1:44 that is a beautiful fucking bike.
yeee i got one too its bae
Do a build challenge.
Canny go off road with those bars tho 😂
But N+1
I really like the name nature boy, why did you name your bike like that?
That's the name of the bike
All City Nature Boy
The bike name is All City Nature Boy.... Zach named it Ricky, though.
Oh, but still it's not your usual name for a bike model
Greg Madden "Normal Names"
Why nature boy and not a surly cross check??
Yooo !!
Yea yea..... Dweet
isnt purple the color of sexual frustation or was it lila ?
Is Ricky named after Rick Flair?
You should keep doing content together.
rent some canyon road bikes from rapha and race, with groceries
Basically an uglier, more expensive, less practical Pompino lol

@@pvtmustaqim I know people that have sanded to bare metal they're CroMo frames. And they do not rust. If it rusts, it's not CroMo. Period.
bullwhip johnson well, you do you , buddy. If that's what you believe in, I won't try to convince you otherwise then.
Michael's is better.
