I love my white chocolate, it was quite a hunt to still get one, and I have the pumpkin spice, that is also fun. I'm still eyeing white peach and natural eyes.
The White Peach I almost bought when I found it in London some years ago. Ended up not going for it, as it essentially has 11 shades that are identical with a shimmering black. Wasn't worth it in the end for me.
The OG Chocolate Bar has been discontinued for about a year or two, and is not longer available at Too Faced, Ulta, or Sephora. I barely got my Chocolate Bar in time. 😭💔
One of the perks of not living in the US: while we get things later, they also seem to be discontinued later. I was able to buy this off counter until last Christmas. It seems to be gone now.
Hi Maaike it is interesting to see them swatched on paler skin and confirms they are indeed mostly too dark/too warm for me. I have the white chocolate palette and really enjoy it, but I'm even paler than yourself so the shades all show up on me well. I had swithered at the time whether to get the bon bons palette, but didn't end up buying it. Seeing it swatched I'm ok about not owning it tbh, as it just isn't as nice as it was hyped to be. I'm also not a fan of all the highly scented makeup too faced makes, as I have super sensitive skin with both rosacea and eczema. I don't need my eyeshadow to be highly scented and indeed might have a reaction to some of the scent. At the time these palettes were mostly swatched on light to medium skin and did look really nice. However as you pointed out a dark shade on pale skin just looks dark and you lose the different shades/tones. A brown and a plum in a darker tone will just look dark on me for instance. I'm also extremely cool toned and anything remotely orange or yellow looks terrible on me. Many of these and other too faced palettes are very warm toned - fabulous on olive or warm toned complexions, but horrible on me. It was interesting to see them all swatched though so many thanks and best wishes.
I'm curious, have you found a go to brand, that has stuff you enjoy? I think I'm somewhere between Maaike and you in skintone and I feel like it's such a hustle to find something, particularly because some things I technically could wear, but I just don't enjoy that much contrast, while still liking colour.
@@Lennroe I don't really have a "go to" brand and usually cherry pick carefully what I buy. I also don't buy masses of makeup and keep my selection very manageable - after all makeup does expire at some point. Maaike may be able to steer you better to a specific brand than myself, as she has far more makeup than I do. My best advice is now we're out and about again is to actually look at the shade of something in person where possible. Products can vary quite wildly from the picture. In person you can tell if there are enough light shades for the item to work for you. Maaike has videos on the best palettes for fair skin, as well as what bronzers/blushes etc suit her. I rarely wear bronzer as it doesn't look right on me - I just embrace the paleness, but I love blush. I'm super dry so I use a lot of liquid/cream blush. I hope that helps.
@@lorainemcgillivray77 thank you. I actually started watching Maaike at the beginning of building my makeup collection and her videos have saved me a lot of fails, especially as you say the swatches and explanations. I have always embraced my paleness, as I don't tan anyway from certain age and I do like the look of it anyway. I would just from time to time like to have a few more choices, I mean especially palettes like the white chocolate are rare and if they do come out, they get hate for not being inclusive. I was just curious if you found something that stood out to you, but I agree with everything that you said 🙂
@@lorainemcgillivray77 also I rarely wear bronzer, too. I always find it interesting how well they look on Maaike when she has the right shade, I now own one, and I really wear it rarely and sparingly, as you say, it doesn't look good on me, and I actually don't even have extremely stron undertone, but still.
As an olive sking girl, Too Faced palettes are kind of challenging for me. I also finf them boring and repetitive. Right now Too Faced have a 60% off on their Peach collection. MEEEEEH😒
Hi Maaike! I can't get too faced where I live 😢 If any Instagram store has the brand for sale, I instantly think it must be fake(lots of fake makeup going around) Meanwhile , expecting any Essence/Catrice video you want to film 🤗 Oh, and your reviews are great as always ❤️
I love LOVE love all my Too Faced palettes in the tins.
Those were some great palettes at the time. Some I would repurchase in a heartbeat, others not so much though.

Great video! I love their palettes in the tin packaging 🥰
Thank you!
I love your palettes! Love the colors
Thank you so much!!
I actually love the chocolate bar palette. It goes so well with my skin tone 😊
I think it can look beautiful if you have the right undertone in your skin!
Any suggestions for a dupe of Almond Truffle? It's one of my daily go-to colors & can't be found anymore.
Unfortunately not. But your best bet may be Sydney Grace they do the best cool toned neutral singles in my opinion.
I love my Chocolate Bon Bons palette especially in the winter, but I agree that the hearts are not my favorite!
It is a stunning palette!
I hate the packaging but I love Chocolate Bon Bons. Had to get past the exterior but the colors are perfect for me.
Same here! I nearly didn't buy it because of the kitschy packaging.

Yup I haven't bought from them for a while precisely for that reason: so repetitive.

I love my gingerbread palette ☺️
It is a great palette but very warm toned and therefore not my favorite, but still lovely and great quality too.
Hallo, salam dari indonesia
The latest Too Faced palette is beyond a disappointment! I was shocked. It’s extremely tiny and not worth even looking at! Shame on Too Faced !
It actually contains more eyeshadow than the born this way palette! 😏
Not sure which one you mean as Too Faced has been releasing a lot a the same time.
@@FloatinginDreams she means the bear palette 😉
