I was super happy to see this clip from Impulse's perspective and watch that witch just waltz right in. From Skizz's it's hilarious, he turns around because of Impulse's throat clearing and the witch is just STANDING there, right in his face.

It was all one inclusive package! The way the witch first enters the frame from the back of the room, runs over to Skizz, does a little tilt of the head, blink of the eyes, then that coy little laugh... and then Skizz tops it off with the amazing scream!
Call the golem Rusty, he retired from decked out and is now living his dreams of becomming a chef!

Rusty has been in so many seasons of hermitcraft he's practically an honorary hermit. But there's a dark history between Tango and Rusty people just don't know about.
Hopefully if Impulse names him Rusty Etho will save him from whatever dark fate Tango would surely have in store for him.

Everytime someone says they want to make a vault door I feel like Mumbo is just going to appear like “did somebody say vault door?”
And grian will then break in said vault
mumbo will fall from the sky out of nowhere and say "did someone say vault door?"
and then grian will also fall from the sky out of nowhere and say "did someone say BREAKING a vault door?"
The fact you got a skull with Skizz's sword was just perfect comedic timing
I DIED laughing when you got another wither skull using Skizz's sword. The odds of that happening, I don't even know. Also poor Jevin, no good deeds go unpunished.
Per the wiki its a 5.5% chance per skeleton killed on java with looting 3.
But i love the natural comedy of how despite having the same odds, and a slight imbalance in total kills impulse got 6 and skizz got 0. (Its basically the same as Grian fishing for mending)

Assuming Skizz killed a total of 35 skeletons, the odds of not getting any skulls is ~14,8%. If he killed 30 it's ~18,3%, if he killed 40 it's ~10,4%.
That is, taking the information from @jasonreed7522, who said the chance with looting 3 is 5,5% on Java. I didn't check the wiki myself, because I'm a bit lazy.
His odds with the wither skellys are as bad as grians with the fishing 🤣

impulse's "and we want some variation in the city because, you know, typical cities, they have different types of builds" implies that he refers to irl buildings as builds. i just love the idea that he would move houses and when his friends come over for a housewarming event he's like "so welcome to my new build"

I feel like "IRL builds" are just psychological platforms you can choose from like any city builder vendor.
We have generalizations of classifications but very few identifiable terms as to the Classification names which are probably in the 100's to perhaps 1,000's with subcultures names given for its subjects.
Never print hobbies or interests.
But do know ten or more cultural identities before leaving home base and change clothes often but don't buy any of them. Or do. But don't. Oh yeah, yeah sure.. I'm a gardener...

I've been watching all your hermitcraft videos (and obviously non-hermitcraft too) since S6 and I can tell hands-down that this one had THE single best intro of all. You just can't script that hostile mob behaviour, let alone Skizz's reaction to it. That was soooooo hilarious and I've been dying waiting for your perspective!!!
Oh and for the record, Grian has used chorus fruit to try and get into vaults, so it would be strongly advised if you simply don't tell Grian that you have a vault at all lol

i feel like its been said so many times already but man, its such a great vibe having skizz around for hermitcraft. this seasons already feeling like the best one yet.
When Skulk sensors first came out, I created a secret base entrance in a hill side and I used the armor equip sound and really liked it. It's something you'll basically always have on you, but wouldn't likely ever do by accident in the specific spot

I actually think the uncovered Redstone on the vault door looked really good, especially in the cyberpunk context! To blend it in a little more I would try adding some pipes and other technical doodaddles around, like AC-systems and transformers for example.

Loving the shenanigans on Hermitcraft so far this season. It's a breath of fresh air to not see as much of a focus on megabuilds as in previous seasons. Lovely :)

Some of my favorites have honestly been to see Iskall and Stress interact, those 2 get nothing done when they're togethor, but man do they make the other have a gigglefit.

for the name of the golem: “Tenpei” i think, is a really good name. it’s a reference to the studio ghibli movie “Laputa: Castle in the Sky” that the iron golems in minecraft were based off of. the movie’s aesthetic fits in well with the dystopian or cyberpunk theme of your base, too. Tenpei (天兵)is the name of the the robots, which translates from Japanese to English as “Heavenly Trooper.” i think the theme of laputa fits in well with your base - laputa being a version of a cyberpunk city that has been lost to time. heavenly trooper could mean the protector of your city - i think the corrupt nature of cyberpunk cities could have some ties to these protectors.

I think you should keep the redstone for the door exposed, it looked really cool and fit the vibe.
Also, I think a homeless camp in one of the stalls instead of a shop would really get that distopian vibe across, but that depends on if you want this build to be in a nicer part of town, and how heavy you want to go with the theming, because obviously that is a pretty heavy topic for a MC build.
Villagers that want to offer a trade make a sound. If you lock up all but 1 trade of a villager, and not give them a chance to reset their trades, and pick up what they want for their still available trade, you can have a wireless entrance, by having a calibrated sculk sensor pick up that sound that the villager makes when offering up the trade (when they show the item they want to sell in their hands)
Your "key" for opening the door would be whatever trade of the villager you didn't lock up.
If you give far enough away from the villager, they will also make the same noise again, so it'll also lock the door behind you. I'm not sure how fast you'd have to be though, so you might want to have a pulse extender there as well, for good measure.

Have two villagers set up that way, and you can have a two item key system. Just hold one in each hand, and they both react. Could be used if you want a little more security.

I had a thought where you could continue the lore of iBuy by having a couple of ragged looking iBuy Outlet stores scattered throughout the city. They would be staffed by Iron Golems, the currency for purchase could be iron ingots, and the payment mechanic could mirror the set-up Tango used in DO2 whereby you heal a golem, the store dispenses the purchase, and then the Golem gets damaged immediately after to allow for another purchase right away. It would certainly enhance the dystopian theme! Anyway, loving season 10 so far.

Man I love your idea. You could turn this into its own game "Shopping list". Droppers shoot out a number of random ingots renamed to various cyberpunk items to be "bought" with said ingot? More copies makes the item more common or "bought in bulk"; 6 ingots for 2 Chef's soup, 3 onions, and 1 cybereye (renamed enderpearl?).
Could make an item more expensive by dealing more golem damage.
For the Iron Golem, I'd say PearlesteelMan and for the record shop, if there's going to be a second golem, Gemini Ron. So that the soup group somewhat stays together when Impulse is close to his base and the Soup shop.
I love the idea of lighting all the windows on a random circuit so each window turn off and on at separate intervals to make it seem like people are using the different rooms. Great build so far, like the storage layout 👍

The fact that so much of this season is rotated around collaboration makes this season the best season yet! Seeing impulse so happy when interacting with others, it shows the goofy, silly, and overall funny person he truly is! Thanks for everything Impulse, keep it up! :D
You can tell by how he was talking about the upgrades to his build how much him and bdubs have talked and bdubs mind set is influencing it. But that also make me look forward to see how you progress in your building this season, and how the final few building in the city will look compared to the first couple. Keep up the amazing work impulse!

So for the door, chorus fruit may prove too finicky to use well. It has a habit of teleporting the player downward more often than upward, hence its amazing utility as an emergency landing from high fall or broken elytra. Spawn proofing the areas beneath may require making sure there are no spaces for a player to occupy upright, so much more intensive than carpeting it all
Water also blocks teleportation from chorus fruit and is quite easy to do.
It only helps with landings because if you eat one in the air it will always teleport you to the ground. If you're standing on the ground, it's completely random as far as I know.
Jevin dying is like the bit where someone is trying to pick up too many lemons, and every time they bend down to pick some up, they drop more

I honestly didn't believe the witch was a natural occurrence until I saw this. I thought it was part of a joke by someone and Impulse was in on it. 😂
The three frog lights are verdant, ochre, and pearlescent. Verdant comes from verde, which means green. Ochre yellow is the name of a paint color, so it’s the yellow one. Pearlescent and purple both start with P
Ochre is straight up a shade of brownish yellow, not just a specific paint
Pearlescent isn't purple in real life though, it's more of a very light pinkish bluish white.

I saw that friendly witch first from Skizz, but I've watched the start of this video maybe 10 times. I doubt It'll never gets old. Impulse showing his mad comedic timing skills here. Instead of getting rid of the intruder at once, he decided to let her enter and see how things evolve. He knew how Skizz would react, he had his sword ready so he can save his friend. The polite, "Dude, ahem?" before Skizz explodes.. Man. You knew, didn't you. :D
I love how the end rods “sparkles” look like the wires are zapping sparks of electricity. Adds to the aesthetic for sure.

the added animations on that witch were fantastic!
Potentially instead of the marble floors by the vault entrance you could do glass floors (with glass going doing various depths) with a combo of interesting colored blocks underneath to make a foggy effect almost and have your tuff bridge leading to the storage system appear more distinct and elevated

the carpets on top of the end rods is actually such a nice touch, it genuinely surprise-delighted me when i saw it! the fact it hovers above the rod is definitely working for you with cyberpunk vibes, really liked it!
I've been heavily into cyberpunk lately and so you and Joel's vidoes are my favorite to watch right now. I can't wait for more to come.
I was thinking about the record shop... What if it actually worked as a shop for the hermits but you only sell custom discs? You could bring in a bunch of Ely and Jono songs such as Hermitgang, Bop, Work, and your Hermit fam. It would bring fun content for the other hermits to actually go browsing the record shop and play the records in episodes and on stream. There has been a record shop in almost every season. This would bring a new spin on it.
I think the noodle store's name should be "Mega Byte" for the cyberpunk theme

Impulse luck activates around other hermits. First it was Grian's mending book and now Skizz' skulls. 😅😂
a big reason why it looks so boxy is because you have the whole design running over all of it. What if you broke up the windows with a windowless unit for a generator? Vines/cyberpunk plants running over another section and breaking up the building? Some sort of funky power source jutting out, with tons of wires and stuff connecting it?
the details on the building have really elevated the look a lot! the cyberpunk vision is coming together nicely
That bit with the witch makes me think of how awesome a Hermitcraft x Element Animation collaboration could be!
Grian had a villager ressource pack with voice clips from element animation for a while in season 7
The season 8 finale animation was done by Element Animation
"Sūpu shōnin" is the Japanese translation for soup merchant! I like the idea of him being a Japanese robot that sells food.
