I always enjoy doing a tour of the area by boat. I’ve been on this lake during the dry and the rainy season and it’s a great time either season. Another fun boat tour I made a video of was from Bangkok to Ayutthaya. If you want to see it take a look at this video. Thank you very much. I find this lake fascinating. It’s hard to imagine a naval battle that happened here during the Khmer empire, like what is depicted in the murals in the Bayon Temple. I planned to visit again during my latest trip to Cambodia but I ran out of time. :( next trip I will visit for sure. Thanks for watching!
@endlessjourneytravels Very fascinating places. Will look for battle carving at Bayon when we visit. Btw do you personally think it is better with tour guide at the temples, or do you reckon it is fine without a guide?
@@TheAlbatros123 I think you will enjoy the temples more with a tour guide. The Bayon era temples are so massive that it’s easy to get over whelmed by them. The guides know all of the details about them and can help you understand more. Without a guide looking around can be the same thing and all you are looking at is rocks in different locations.
@@TheAlbatros123 there are many things in Laos that I would I’ve to see. I haven’t been there in probably 12 years. The border crossing I need to figure out on my motorcycle. Maybe I can do it in April when I get my next holiday from work.
Vim visitar o Camboja, o Camboja tem um povo amigável e amigável, ele tem um coração gentil com hóspedes estrangeiros como nós, sinto que quero lembrá-los para sempre, nunca esquecer o sorriso que eles deram para✨🙏🏻
Me and my class are learning this. Actually the “bushes” on the lake are very tall trees. This is why the floods in tone sap are big, and that’s why the houses are on stilts

Thank you. I thought it was a government office. Is this the best pier to go out onto the lake? Years ago we left from another pier and went out to some of the floating villages but I don’t remember where the pier was at. What are your thoughts?
@@endlessjourneytravels I'm not a local at Siem Reap, but I know there are at least three floating villages. Moreover, the floating villagers are considered nomads, moving their houses occasionally according to the rhythm of the lake.
@@SopheakdeyMoeun thank you. I will check into it when I’m in Siem Reap next time. I really enjoyed seeing the floating villages and would love to see it again. Appreciate the information.
I remember as I went to board a very dodgy boat, I noticed a little kid squatting and taking a dump right in the lake. When in Cambodia, don't eat the fish.
The lake is massive and has several piers with the boats set up to take you out onto the lake. We hired out on a tour from Siem Reap that took us to the pier where we got on the boat. If you look on a map due south of the town is national road 63. That takes you right to the Siam Reap River. That is where the boat pier is. Last time I went here we went to a pier to the west that was farther out of town. I liked going along the river a bit more because you can see more of the local communities. I also wish I would’ve done the canoes up into the mangroves. Several of my viewers said it was the best part of the trip. I hope this helps. If you are in Siem Reap it’s easy to arrange a trip from the kiosks around pub street or even many of the hotels.

Good advice. Hope you make some videos of Laos Luang Prabang. Best wishes

Very nice. A nice part of the world to be learning about. Is it for history or geography?
My school calls it “social studies”
