It`s a brilliant portrait! Clear lines,soft colors and the best soft pastel portrait,i have ever seen in my life! I`m an artist too for years[actually 30 yrs],but with different materials,such as acrylics and sometimes when i make landscapes,i usually paint, with oil colors. Bravo senora! as a pastel artist myself i have learned great tips from watching your tutorials religiously. May i ask what type of paper you use? Using Canson Me-teintes with my finger- perhaps excessively- to shade causes fluffing in the paper.
As a portrait artist whom, due to the modern type and expectations of people today, has been caught out in the very same way by working from photos. If you work from life you tend to avoid these minor problems of gender by using props or attitude in stance of clothing. But a truly inspirational use of pastels. I will be trying them instead of oils this week.
Hope I could do bigger size portrait in pastel amd later in oils ... I a.m doing most of my portrait now by color pencil with my own techniques . You have a good systematic Style faster at seeing values differences. I like your Style ..thanks for sharing your talents
