@@wadalala4758 The surrounding areas of Grants Pass have some beautiful nature. Rivers, fishing and hiking. Coast, lakes and ski resort…2 hour drive. Avoid Cave Junction.
Portland is great. Other than a few square blocks downtown, Portland is terrific.

After living in Oregon for a while, I can tell you that this list is suspect given Portland even made the list.

I live in Oregon almost 15 years,! I love the small garden 🪴,! The plants that grow very quickly and I don’t have to take care of just watering every day are the tomatoes beautiful and healthy 🍅,! If I win a lottery I’ll do the tomatoes farms , selling the tomatoes to another state, when the winter time stay home enjoying and relaxing
Taulitian is now a eye sore. When I lived thier 29 years ago it was a beatiful town. It's overdeloped now. Byrom elementary is for rich kids.

I didn’t understand the comment about bend Oregon costing the same to live as San Francisco. And then went on to say that you can get a house for 300 and some thousand. You can get a house in San Francisco for that much probably 50 years ago!
Been a realtor here in Bend for the last 18 years. Our median price is now over 700K. 300K was about 6-8 years ago if I remember correctly coming out of the recession.

@@laurac.6534 People from the town and around it actually pronounce it SCA-pp-OOSE. There are several towns in NW Oregon that if you don't pronounce them right people will automatically know you are an outsider.

This is using some real old data I have lived in the Clackamas area my whole life and graduated from Milwaukie High school and this place as gone way down in the last 2yrs. The price for house in Milwaukie is no where near what they stated. Homeless and Drugs are spilling over from downtown. I would give this area another 5yrs before we are the next Chicago or Detorit.
Also you can tell who ever made this does not live or is from Oregon. But if your trying to make some rose colored classes vid to make people move here than sure. Oregon was a beautifle place to live once and maybe can be again but not not if it keeps on this path its on and the people in charge are hell bent on keeping it on that path so like I said earlier Chicago 2.0.

I don’t think this was written by anyone from anywhere near Oregon. Things are pronounce wrong there a lot of incorrect words and some of the facts are just really dumb thumbs down
This video is non-sense. "Facts" are obviously alternative facts, maybe from 1996. Photos don't always match the locale of which is currently being spoken. And I believe that the script being read by human voice synthesizer was written by someone in another country as the usage of language is incorrect at times. An ugly, run down city with graffiti everywhere, unsavory characters walking around all over the place, #1 in the nation for per capita homeless, and you will realize that is true when you try to use one of the parks here and find it overrun with homeless campers.

I stopped going to the farmers markets there as homeless people were pooping right next to the produce stands.unsanitary and unsafe. When you go to the shops in Eugene homeless people pass you in the store and the smell is horrendous turns you off of eating altogether.
I really need to move from Eugene, as a single mother with a young daughter I no longer feel safe and at home here. So sad… used to be a beautiful place to raise a family and own a business.
I’d like to add that unfortunately Governor K Brown has ignored everybody’s pleads for help in Eugene

@@alibertylover Grants Pass is a predominantly conservative town. Not necessarily the politicians or cops, but the people are mostly good. Homeless numbers are growing but that's everywhere. Along with the drugs. But still much better than northern Oregon. Antifa bussed in about a year ago and about 150 Patriots showed up armed to the gills to make them understand we wouldn't be putting up with them. The Patriots were serious and the police force was to small to make an impact. The only other thing is GP is the 3rd worst city in the nation for low income housing. But I love my GP. I've lived all over the country and GP is right for me.
