I had an elder offer me a special bible study to “regain my love for Jehovah.” I said, “I never lost my love for God. I just take issue with some of the people at the meetings.” I am inactive.

Sadly love for Jehovah, means for them love of the organization. For some reason the hierarchy can not see, or refuse to acknowledge, that THEY and their 'beyond the things written' rules ARE the obstacle!

I got called into that backroom and I was like wtf? They said that I had a book and it was reported by someone. (I had actually taken it to a meal gathering after the meeting because I thought nothing of it.) I was like well I asked the post office why the book was sent to me? They said the mormons sent it to everyone, even my PO Box. When these goofball elders called me back there one of the first questions out of their mouths was "how do you feel about the governing body?" I simply asked back..."how do you all feel about the Australian Royal Commission's investigation into child sexual abuse and how the globering body is handling that?" They couldn't respond. I was like well I can't respond either LOL.

GB NoMore Funny that the Matrix is actually Biblically based (from apocryphal view). As becoming a JW I always viewed the Matrix as similar to getting snapped out of the worlds dogma, interesting how you view it as the opposite. I was never asleep as a witness, knew most the pitfalls coming in. Just never knew they required you to believe what they couldn't prove, thats never the way the "truth" was presented to me, nor is it the way I ever took it. Actually, I was a student for 6 years and I studied with one sister 2 to 3 times a week for 3 years. I had a very closes friendship with this sister. One day over a text I asked her if we could just read the bible and not the publication and I started asking questions about Jesus and the organization. In that same text, she said she could no longer help me and if I ever come back she will be there with open arms but until then goodbye. That was over 4 months ago, she never contacted me again until last week just to drop off a memorial pamphlet. Its getting serious out there lol, even unbaptized people are being shunned!

Think! If Jesus really did all the things mentioned in the bible would there be no other mentions in secular sources?
The earliest are mentions about Christians by Flavius Josephus and that is disputed as an interpolation. It could be that there was a man named Jesus (a very popular name back then) but I doubt he did anything like described.

Hi guys, this is exactly what happened to me when I asked questions to the elders about the peadophilia in the org. They got rid of me within months because I spoke about it to one sister who went to talk to another sister about it. I refused to attend their judicial committee meeting as I considered I did nothing wrong and should not attend their stupid meeting. They will disfellowship someone they feel deserves it and the announcement will be the same as a peadophile or someone who has committed a serious wrongdoing. They will get rid of disturbing elements who are denunciating the dark deeds of the the organisation. it is amazing how the shunning takes almost instantly place even if one is not disfellowshipped. It is a clever way misused by the org to protect themselves and to stop others to learn the truth about them.

I started working at a retirement home with these amazing old folks who were some of the kindest people I have, ever come across. I had a really hard time accepting that these people who have always helped others, are doomed because they didn't believe what my parents thought to be true. I'm amazed at the hypocrisy. When I was df'd the first thing I learned was that I can have Jehovah without the organization. It's called being a spiritually mature man and a way of life. I've been reinstated since but left because I started to see the GB getting in my way of exclusive devotion to Jah, that I had when I was df'd. The congregation worships the organization and 8 men and put them and their literature above God and the scriptures.
You're in the wilderness now. There is nothing in the wilderness but Jehovah and that's where he wants you. Think about Elijah and the 7000 in the wilderness. Think about Hosea 2, those who fled to the wilderness after rebuking "the mother", that God restored and said no longer will you call me master but you will call me husband (that's an intimate relationship with him for taking a stand). Think about the Israelites whom God requested to go to the wilderness to worship him. Think about Revelation.
You are now free to find so many answers in the bible and gain true understanding as you are taught by Jehovah himself.
Keep reading and digging in the bible. I've learned so much on my own that the holy Spirit has taught me. I have a personal relationship with God and especially Jesus now- that no man can interfere with.
Keep enduring faithfully. There are a lot of us out here.

Elders are really ''company men'' who act as human resource agents for the Watchtower organization. Human resource agents act only in the best interests of the company. Elders search out any who are not loyal to the company, and those who are not actively supporting the policies and mission as well as individuals who are not reaching established goals within the corporation. Elders(human resource agents of the Watchtower) are assigned to eliminate or lessen the effects of ''whistle blowers'' by labeling them ''Apostates".

At Matthew 24: 45 Jesus asked, "Who then is the faithful and wise servant whom his Lord has set over his household, to give them their food in due season?"
Also, Jesus talks of an "evil slave" or servant in vs. 48, "But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, "My lord terrieth; and shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and shall eat and drink with the drunken; the Lord of that servant shall come in a day when he expecteth not, and in an hour when he knoweth not, and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be the weeping and gnashing of teeth". ASV
Jesus posed the question, "Who then is the faithful and wise servant..?" So, it would be a question that remained to be answered, when? What is being discussed in Matthew 24? Jesus disciples had asked him regarding the sign of his presence and the conclusion of the system of things. It is upon the masters ARRIVAL that he rewards the faithful slave and / or judges the evil slave. Note: The evil slave "beats" his fellow slaves, treats them harshly. He also eats and drinks with the confirmed drunkards. This isn't necessarily literal drunkenness; Babylon The Great, the world empire of false religion, is said to be drunk, and also to commit fornication with the earth's kings. So the evil slave joins in with the known drunkards and does as they do. In becoming a NGO member of the United Nations for 10 years, did not the Watchtower "eat and drink with the confirmed drunkards"?
    Also, consider
2 Thessalonians 2, where again the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ is under discussion. "However, brothers, respecting the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we request of you not to be quickly shaken from your reason nor to be excited either through an inspired expression or through a verbal message or through a letter as though from us, to the effect that the day of Jehovah is here.
Let no one seduce you in any manner, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction. He is set in opposition and lifts himself up over everyone who is called "god" or an object of reverence, so that he sits down in the temple of The God, publicly showing himself to be a god."
So, this apostasy spoken of here comes when? Prior to the "presence" or parousia, the second "coming" of Christ Jesus. And, this "man of lawlessness" actually sits down in the "temple" of "The God". Who is "The God"? Jehovah, is The God, the true God. And the "temple", what is God's temple? It is made up of true followers of Christ, and of which Christ is the chief cornerstone.
    1 Corinthians 3: 16.
Also, note again the warning respecting the the presence of Christ. Do not be shaken from your reason, don't be seduced by even what seems to be a message from the apostles or an inspired expression that the day of Jehovah is here. So, Christians are warned to watch out then, for false proclamations of the day of Jehovah or "that the day of the Lord is just at hand". ASV. This is because an apostasy will occur first, and a "man of lawlessness" will exalt himself above everyone and sit within the house of God, acting as a god.
Watchtower applies this to Christenendom, but is Christenendom God's house? And how would Christ's followers be deceived by a "message as though from us" or an "inspired expression" expounded from Christenendom? The Watchtower has been declaring Christ's presence since 1914; Russell at one time believed it was 1799. But what do the scriptures say? " Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father." Matthew 24: 36. Are they above Jesus himself, who stated that even he didn't know the day or the hour?

*@ **5:41** These elders do not have a sincere compassionate spirit like Christ. They have an evil spirit that doesn't want you to be questioning anything. These same spirits were in that room with you that day. These spirits force them to supersede the bible and instead defer to the teachings of men. Did Job not question God? Did Lot not question God? Did Jonah not question God? Even the apostle Paul asked the Bereans to check his writings against scripture to make sure he was telling the truth! And yet these men had their names and actions written down for our instruction! The Jehovah's Witness leaders, not the members, the leaders, are charlatans and con men. And they'll have to face Christ when the time comes. God bless.*

I was born and raised in the cult. From a very young age there were many things that did not make sense to me and even the explanation given to me from my parents didnt make sense. I went along with it...for years. I finally got to the point where I needed to prove it to myself, is it the truth or not. I decided I would study the very book that brought my parents into the cult, The Truth Book. I would write down any questions I had from each chapter and do further research on these items. Generation was my first huge hurdle. I could not understand why Jehovah would allow this incorrect teaching to go on for decades. Why would he allow his followers to be deceived, many would come into the cult based on this teaching, why would he allow that? I could not find any scripture in the bible that would support the "overlapping" teaching. The generation teaching then led to the destruction of Jerusalem in 607. With just a little research that too will fall apart. From there it was like a house of cards. It actually became too easy to pick apart nearly every one of the cults teachings. It does not stand up to even the slightest of scrutiny.

Thank you for sharing...here is a cut and paste comment we have, that relates a bit of our story...We were not born into witnesses, so we don't ascribe to the wake up movement, as we were never asleep! Becoming a witness I read everything apostate I could get my hands on at the time, and even after baptism we used several translations, diglot/interlinear/Strongs concordance, publicly spoke about not having a WT paper route, focused on the Bible in the ministry, and could prove everything we believed from the Bible without literature. We refrained from teaching dogmatically, just read the scripture and asked a question and let the householder draw their own conclusions. We never wanted someone to say, "but you told me", and they cant because we let them draw their own conclusions. We stood up publicly when it was clear the WT conflicted with the Bible...We just picked the wrong subject this time...don't mess with the great Oz! So we were never "indoctrinated", as they say. The mind boggling part is the switcheroo they pulled in who our dedication was to.

Just keep reading your bibles and praying. When I woke up after 35 years I was in shock for some time. I couldn't believe I had been so bamboozled by the Watchtower organization. So much they lied about, I had to re-examine every doctrine they ever taught me, but I found out that the Bible is not that hard to understand. Do start comparing Bible translation, there are some great tools online like biblegateway and Blueletterbible. Look at the Greek and Hebrew meanings of words, it's great fun. A few key people on UA-cam that really helped me and my husband are Berean Pickets he was an Elder for 40 years and started asking questions. He has a series of 12 videos that are well researched. And David and Vivian Aspinall on UA-cam are an older couple who are very analytical. Have you read Crisis of Conscious? It is a must! By Ray Franz--he is my hero. Don't be afraid to go visit some churches, lightning will not stick you, nothing bad will happen--thats just the fear and phobias that the watchtower planted in your mind. Hey, have you read Steven Hassan's books on mind control--they are a must read. Read John 6:53 in many different translations. Read 1 Timothy 1:6 (I like the Young's literal translation.) John 6:29, Roman's chapter 8, John14 and 15. I will be praying for you guys.

Hello, Thank you for the encouragement. We dont actually ascribe to the wake up movement. We were never asleep! Certainly not afraid of churches, had a study that was a pastor in a local church, who said "If I kick you out of my office it proves I'm weak in my faith." lol. He got transferred after a talk he gave after one of our discussions...lol. So no reason for me to turn to them. I can prove what I believe from scriptures alone. Rarely used literature in the ministry and publicly denounced having a WT paper route. I studied for 5 years before coming in, I'm very analytical, read everything apostate I could get, several translations, diglot/interlinear, no literature, until the last year knowledge book, and started reading WT...pointed out something wrong once and the elder going to CO work said..."Chad, that's just information to consider while making a conscientious decision." I ate them up after that, very helpful, I accepting what I found to be true in the scriptures and rejecting or back burnering the rest. Even after Baptism, publically saying I came into the truth trying to prove witnesses wrong and I still am. Sometimes I would get the question, "Hows that working for you?" I always said, "I win some, lose some." I never thought I needed to believe everything in print, several times publicly disagreeing and using scripture. An elders wife said, "You guys just dont fit the JW mold." I laughed, "I dont want to fit the JW mold, just Jehovahs mold." We like Berean Pickets. However we have only one hero, Jesus. ;-) I'm not sure your point with those scriptures. We never felt bamboozled, the shocking thing to us is how they have treated us now, for doing what we always have done. I guess this time we just went for the wrong subject...dont mess with the great Oz!

    • @unassignedvlog5556
      @unassignedvlog5556  5 років тому

I guess I don't know what your question to them was. But looking at the interlinear as you requested, it says just that the 'dead in Christ would stand up first'. Then in vs 17 it says thereupon (rendered in various translations "afterward" "then" "next"), the living during that same time period (but evidently after those already dead), would be caught away, apparently joining them and Christ. I must toss in the disclaimer here (as I did publicly disagreeing in the WT discussion, when the WT seemingly went on a short rapture path W15 7/15 p.18-19 par 15) Those ones must die first. (Matthew 12:24; 1Corinthians 15:36) I am not defending any date circled on a calendar, that's a fools game. (Acts 1:7) Perhaps that is why they are so desperate to grasp for a generation extension, which again I have no use for debating such. (1 Timothy 1:4; Titus 3:9) That seems more about a debate of authority which I also have no use in debating. (Romans 13:7; Matthew 23:2) I am just to imitate Christ. (Luke 17:10; Matthew 20:25-28) So that's my thoughts, if I am understanding you correctly.

Hi thanks for responding I was disfellowshipped for asking the question why in the Greek, it says that the dead stand up first (not go to heaven first) or come back to life then they go to heaven with the living the same time all together, where the witnesses teach that in 1919 as they died they went separately upon death. you mentioned the scripture in 1st Corinthians 15 later in that chapter in 51 52 and 53 it mentions that it will happen in a moment in the blinking of an eye when the last trumpet is blown for when the trumpet sounds those who have died, will be raised to live forever and we are living will also be transformed, the scripture says that it will all happen in the twinkling of an eye, during the last trumpet so they have a false teaching. expecting it in 1914 then they expected the dead to be raised up and they stood on Brooklyn bridge waiting to go to heaven with them. it didn't come true so they stretched it much like the generation and the generation lap over like yourself I question things also looking to the scriptures. and I'm glad to know that there's others that are strong enough to do that as well. so keep strong brother and thank you for showing interest and giving a little time

He was a malignant narcissistic who couldn’t bear criticism, and never EVER admitted to being wrong. They also believed Christ’s presence was going to be visible, but when he rudely didn’t arrive on time, they changed it to invisible, so he could continue asserting he was right. My first studies of the practice of "shunning" were found among the Amish. Shunning served as a social practice, meant to bring reflection and repentence, by shutting out the "guilty" from interaction in the community that they not buy or sell in the community.
JWs cannot be faulted for their dedication or their faith. Dogma however, is a blindfold.

    • @unassignedvlog5556
      @unassignedvlog5556  5 років тому

I have no problem with the shunning practice if one accepts the tenants, that is until you change the rules once in. If you read the "What Does the Bible Really teach?" book you will see questions are encouraged, so you ask question get satisfactory answers and become baptized...then they make a MAJOR change that is opposite to what you were "confirmed" in., so you question. (1 John 4:1) They disfellowship you...is that righteous in your eyes?

    • @mladyskirk5524
      @mladyskirk5524 5 років тому

I don't think shunning does anything to further one's walk, nor does it fit with the Kingdom's corporate logic of inclusion and helping others in their walk. It serves to eradicate "other options".
The whole of learning requires we ask questions...and that we are encouraged to ask questions. Everyone benefits, because everyone is learning at different rates and can share knowledge to propel others upwards.

I Disassociate at 22 n took a "Neutral Stand" fortunately I was not SHUN...Mom,Sister n Brother is still in.... today at 62 the GB (8 Mental Midgets) mindset is even worse with so much "NEW LIGHT" changes by cherry picking scriptures to Justify their Thinking.... it saddens me to see my family holding on to the GB promise of Everlasting Life on Paradise Earth n the Resurrection... Brainwashing at it's Finest.... 😱😳🤯

yep yep yep yep, that's kinda why I keep my mouth shut however it's getting harder to-do, I did read once that a bird kept in a cage didn't know he wasn't free until someone opened the door. I think it went something like that, but I've come to realize that if someone loves you as family then you do ask questions that's just part of life, and if they love you unconditionally they accept you that way too. I truly believe that when all is said and done with and that paradise is here Jesus and Father won't kick you to the curb for asking a question, they in fact will love you even more for doing so........

Yes there are several instances of individuals asking questions in the scriptures(Genesis 18:22-33; Acts 17:11; 1John 4:1) However love always has conditions, else why all the divorces? It seems its a matter of who sets those conditions...the Bible or man?

In my opinion, being DF’d from an ungodly “organization”, is a non-event. For example, it’s analogous to being kicked out of a club when you’re 5 years old. Who cares, it amounts to absolutely nothing. In my case, I faded and never looked back. Whether or not they DF’d me, I have no idea, nor could I care less. The result is being shunned by a sibling, but that’s her problem and she’ll have to live with it. And when you break it down to the factual reality, people who shun family or former friends, are really saying: “I can’t talk with you because a New York Real Estate/Publishing Corporation told me not to”. Wow, I feel sorry for the mentally challenged!

When you get your questions answered, will you pass along that information? Bc I’m not buying that the GB is the Faithful & Discrete Slave, has Jehovah’s spirit ONLY & the 144,000 are something else entirely. I mean WTHeck?! I’m so lost ~ 💜

Sadly Jill, there will never be an answer to his question for him to be able to pass on to you. If anyone ever dares to question the authority of the GB, or ask any questions when something doesn't make sense, that person is quickly called an apostate and unless and until they repent and blindly, unquestionably, agree that the GB is the FDS and what the GB says is 100% true, even when it makes zero sense, that person will remain a DF'd apostate, and shunned by all.
The next time you are feeling lost, pat yourself on the back and celebrate! It means that your critical thinking brain is kicking in, and you are starting to see the holes in the WT story. For an organization to call itself "The Truth", shouldn't that truth hold up to scrutiny? Shouldn't it welcome questions? Shouldn't it jump at the chance to share it's story, and be able to tell the world why and how they have come to be chosen by God? If they truly want to "Share the Good News of the Kingdom" with the people of the world, then why are they DFing their members who ask simple questions? The answer is simple - The truth about The Truth is that it isn't the truth at all. When Governing Body member Brother Franz wrote his book entitled "Crisis of Conscience", it was because he began to realize that very same fact. He had devoted his life to God and to the organization, rose in the ranks to become a member of the ultimate group of men known as the Governing Body, only to realize that it was all a sham, a lie, a farce, and the only ones who were being worshipped were the men in the GB - and Jehovah was nowhere to be found, especially in the halls of Bethel.
I truly wish that I could tell you that there are reasonable and understandable answers to his - and to your questions, but there aren't any. The GB are the F&DS because they say they are. Period! Which, if you were to put that concept into any other subject matter, it would be laughable. It's like saying that the Ford Explorer is the best SUV ever made, because the company who makes it says it is the best, period! It's just an absurd concept, and is quite a revealing insight into just how arrogant the GB members have become. And the fact that you feel lost is because that is exactly what the GB wants you to be! Why do you think that they push their whole "advanced education is dangerous" agenda? Why do they keep you busy in service, demanding publishers meet minimum time requirements and turn in time sheets? Why do they stress the importance of attending all meetings and Bible studies? Why do they control who you are friends with, who your children speak to, what you do in your "free time", and tell you never to watch UA-cam videos, read apostate literature, or speak to ex JW's? The answer is really quite simple: Fear. They fear that you will learn the REAL truth about the truth - especially if you are speaking to non JW's, worldly people, educated people, etc. They keep you busy so that you don't have any real free time to sit and think, reflect, analyze, and allow your critical thinking brain to click in. They want uneducated members, so they push the idea that school is dangerous. They don;t want you to hear what ex members have learned about the org, so they fill your head with stories of how apostates are evil liars, or tell you that the devil is at work and is trying to lead you astray. Meanwhile, you are like a hamster on a hamster wheel, constantly running and trying to do what is expected of you in order to remain loyal to Jehovah - while at the same time making you feel as though you aren't doing enough, you aren't faithful enough, you are spiritually weak, etc. You live in a constant state of fear, and the daily indoctrination keeps you staying on that hamster wheel - but, the hamster never really gets anywhere, does he?
I am more than happy to share any information with you, should you want to learn more. I am completely open to sharing proof and documentation to back up every statement I make about what is really going on in the org., and have no ulterior motives other than to help people, particularly women, in their journey of seeking the truth. You can use the message system here on UA-cam, or contact me directly at klwd22@gmail.com - and remember - feeling lost is a good thing, because it means your brain is working!!! When things don't make sense, don't ignore them! Seek and ye shall find; right? So, shouldn't seeking include asking questions? According to the GB, no. Which tells you that there is something being hidden.

@@EasternStar22 Thank you for your thoughts. We agree with some of what you have written, and respectfully disagree with some of it, but you have written too much for us to go over point by point here, so lets just discuss one of each, in one answer.
The questions we have to ask are questions that reveal, as did the questions Jesus asked his religious leaders. Anyone can spout dogma, make up anything and state it as true. Questions are the revealers of secrets to the listeners, the answers given to our questions are very simple and indisputable, but reveal truth, so we disagree foremost on that point. But the fact that those questions do not matter is the other side of the coin, where we agree. As one elder (at first well meaning) asked, "Well, what are your questions". (This is already after punishments that they refused to admit was discipline, started rolling for letting them know we had questions on the GB being the FDS.) I, afraid of giving them any more info, said, "No, because no matter if I could prove it DEAD TO RIGHTS WITHOUT A DOUBT, you would never accept it because you would be sitting right next to us with your head on the chopping block"...he had to agree.
We cant talk about the details now, we will make a video about one reason why.

@@unassignedvlog5556 I'm struggling to understand what it is that you disagree with, based on your reply. I realize my post to Jill was lengthy, but when I start discussing this subject, which I'm extremely passionate about, I can't stop! So, my apologies for being long winded. I've decided to do a list of the points I was attempting to make, in the hopes that you can reflect and perhaps discuss in a later video. I completely appreciate and respect your point of view, and meant no disrespect toward you in my previous comment. Anyway, here's my list of 7 points....
Point 1. The GB has declared themselves the F&DS, however members are never allowed to question how they determined that they indeed are the F&DS, and disagreeing with it is now considered apostasy.
Point 2. In a recent study of various religions, the JW's ranked as having the highest percentage of depression/suicidal thoughts, which I believe was at 66%. If 66% of "the flock" are depressed and/or suicidal, it is a clear sign that something is majorly wrong! Yet - no-one ever talks about it.
      3. The GB discourages advanced education for 3 reasons...#1.Time spent studying/learning/attending classes is going to affect the amount of time spent in "kingdom" related works.....which could then result in that person waking up. It has been proven that cult members stay in the cult because the daily indoctrination works so well on their brain that they don't have the time to think clearly using reason and common sense. Those who are no longer subjected to the daily indoctrination are more likely to wake up.#2. Going to a university exposes the JW student to "worldly people" and they realize that what they were taught about those worldly people isn't true, and they begin to wake up....and #3. Highly educated people are harder to control, and they use critical thinking - thus, they won't easily buy into the line of BS the WT is preaching.
      4. The WT view of women is appalling, and the org is run by a misogynistic group of men. I compare JW women to a hamster on a hamster wheel, because they are constantly told they aren't doing enough, aren't good enough, aren't submissive enough, aren't spiritually strong enough, so they keep trying and trying and trying, but never seem to get there - just like the hamster on that wheel - the end result is the same.
      5. By definition, truth is something that can be proven by fact and/or evidence. Therefore "The Truth" should hold up to scrutiny and should welcome any discussions or questions about it, as it provides an opportunity to share these truths with others. However, the WT views questions about "The Truth" as a sign of apostasy, and shuts down questions by means of fear and intimidation via threat of marking, shunning, or in a Judicial Hearing, usually resulting in DFing of those who have asked questions.
      6. When an active JW admits to feeling lost, particularly when it comes to doctrine and doctrinal changes, it is a sign that they are beginning to realize that things don't make sense. The GB is SO arrogant that they think keeping the flock confused is a GOOD thing, because it supports their entire system, where the flock is told to follow and obey blindly, even when it doesn't make sense. But, I see it as the opposite. Feeling lost means the critical thinking brain has been activated, and the highly indoctrinated brain is showing signs of fading - which is an amazing thing to behold!
      7. The entire reason that the WT pushes it's flock into attending every meeting and Bible study, and making field service a priority - to the point where jobs, finances and home life may suffer, and requiring the use of "time sheets" - all boils down to one thing...Indoctrination. The busier you are with Kingdom related activities, the less time you have to reflect, use reason, common sense and/or critical thinking. The GB will try to convince you that these things are necessary to make Jehovah happy, and to secure your future in a paradise earth, when in reality it has nothing to do with works being beneficial to any individual's life. It is simply done as a means to control and indoctrinate. Tony Morris gave a talk recently, in which he stated that those who weren't doing enough in service have "blood on their hands", and they will die at Armageddon. If that isn't a sign that this is a doomsday cult, I don't know what is! But, it is clear that they use fear to control the flock - which is something ALL cults do to it's members.
These 7 points are what I was trying to say in my previous post - so if you disagree with any of my points, I'd love to hear your opinion and point of view. I tried to keep it short and to the point - but sadly, I've failed - sorry! Thank you for taking the time to consider these points, and as I am a new subscriber to your channel, I look forward to viewing more of your videos in the future!

      1. Yup
      2. Yup, but we disagree they talk about it all the time...we are the happiest people on earth, and if you don't believe them, ask them, they will tell you again how we are the happiest people on earth...if you don't believe them again, you have received your second admonition (Titus 3:10)...then refer back to point 1. (We cant have these sad people committing suicide while witnesses, we have to get them out fast so when they commit suicide we can say, ‘See what happens when you leave Jehovah's organization?!’
      3. We don't believe higher education is all that its cracked up to be.(but for more sensible reasons than the GB says). Chad failed third grade, in high school failed Speech once, Biology once. English twice, Algebra 3 times, and graduated only because the Biology teacher said, :You have an F in my class and a B on the final, give me one reason to pass you.”, and Chad responded, “You’re the only Biology teacher.” Tiffany was home sckoold so its prretty eazy to pass whan you teached you self. But we own our home, own three other homes on out block, our shop, and other properties, and are debt free and pretty much do what we want day to day for work. Today we took the day off to preparing for memorial we are doing at home. To bring out the other path, one of our sisters is a lawyer, and her husband works at a nuclear facility. Very prestigious careers. They have a nice house and a good livelihood, but at the same time they have a mortgage and admit they will take their student loans with them to their grave. Such is the story for many these days. Our point is success can be achieved either way, and there are blessings and maledictions possible with each. But critical (truth) thinking, it seems to us, has more to do with having Gods spirit. (John 14:16, 17; 17:17; Acts 4:13)
      4. That seems to apply to all the ‘sheep’ not just women. (Tiffany's words there. lol) The only ones elevated are those with position, and we have experienced this Jezebel of an overseer wielding power through her husband more than the average male publisher could ever dream of.
      5. We have gone at this one in long length... Truth is what you said...Truth for them is the religion...”the truth”, “present truth”(whatever they say) They think THEY are "the truth"!
      6. Found this while reading a book on Hitler, his tactic was to continually disseminate misinformation and conflicting information so as to keep subordinates continually skeptical of each other and keep them looking to him for direction, clarification. and instruction.
      7. This one is a mixed bag of nuts, as it only stands to reason that if you are continually reminded of the scripture about how thievery and adultery are wrong you will be better equipped with the mind of Christ. However, when you mix in point 6, you are using that to solidify your own ends. But again the one who comes at any info with Acts 17:11 and 1John 4:1, is protected by Gods spirit of truth. We publicly stood against many untruths we felt were worth fighting for, this time we just picked the wrong subject matter...
Don't mess with the great Oz, or you get point 1.
      As they say, opinions are like noses(or behinds)...we all have them, and they all smell. We all just try to keep following the Christ through the snow, when we miss we have snow in our shoes. As for us, we usually have to dump our shoes out at the end of every day. :-}

You know, I believe that it does not matter whether a person is disfellowshipped for a sinful reason or for simply asking a legitimate question, the treatment you go through is the same. It calls to mind that Scripture that says "and yet if we do sin, we have a helper in Jesus Christ the righteous one", but watchtower go beyond that and forcefully exercise judgement on you as to whether you are repentant enough or not. This is an incredible overstepping of God's forgiving ways, as only He knows our hearts, and only He discerns if our cry of repentence is truly from the heart. It is really inconceivable that they (the elders) have authority to put you sit in the furthest away corner at the back of the hall, stare at you as if you are an evil disgusting thing, and the people who know you so well look you in the face without any expression at all, all you are made to feel is, I will never allow any person treat me with such vindictiveness ever again. Furthermore, another Scripture comes to mind, " confess your sins openly with one another", the purpose of it being that in return you would be built up and encouraged by the love of your Christian family, recognising that "we are all sinners and we all fall short of the glory of God each day". But sadly you get the exact opposite, you get hauled in by the sin detector crew, cross examined, and if they "think" you are not repentant enough you get disfellowshipped and shunned, all I can say is, what Scripture is that?
If watchtower doctrine is right, and if how they deal with wrong doing is right, then it would be only logical to conclude that there should be NOBODY inside the Kingdom Hall, except Jehovah, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, (of course now I know they were never there to begin with), but they are getting there pretty rapidly, they by their own ungodly actions and lack of true Godly love are emptying the organisation by the thousands each day. Sending love to you both, I too suffered from anxiety and panic attacks for many years, it surely is most debilitating, and not being understood by those who should at least try to be understanding and supportive most definitely heightens it. It can become an obsession my friends listening for hours to the testimonies of others, and other sources. At the beginning it is understandable, as we want to learn as much as possible, but it can easily become an addiction, as watchtower has left that mark on us all, and watching them being brought down gives an inward sort of "about time" feeling. I say this in love and as a warning, as I was so suckled into it myself, and had to really pray hard and discipline myself so hard to pull myself away from it. I still follow one or two channels which keep us up to date as world events are unfolding, but because you subscribe to one such thing, you automatically get bombarded with similar ones that may be of interest, and that was exactly how I came upon you yesterday.
Sending love and many rich blessings to you both. God bless you as you find the real Lord and Saviour.!!

@@joanhassett-harnett5537 Not sure what you were replying to as my thread is jumbled up here. But finding the real Lord and savior isn't the problem.(Proverbs 2:1-6) Its the switcheroo they pull with their authority as the Pharisees did in putting them selves in the seat of Moses.
As for a TV watching you are correct, as with all TV watching. Most people don't sit in front of a TV set 24 7. I suppose there are a few rare addicts out there where it consumes their life, but for the vast majority they pick a few shows...some are for entertainment, some are for education, some encouragement, etc. etc. If a show focuses on the real life and struggles to remain Christian among one of perhaps the most dangerous spiritual landscapes in the world, that's more beneficial than some scripted "reality" show(1 Cor 15:33), or a sports event(1 Tim 4:8), or some fictional story of a land far far away in time or space. (2Peter 1:6)
      All things in balance. {Ecc 3:1, 1Cor 6:12; 10, 23; Titus 1:15)

I want to encourage you, I've been disfellowshipped approx. 25 years for having an impossible situation that I tried to resolve but I got df'd anyway. I also do not believe that they are speaking for God, rather they as not inspired, they have imperfect light, yet imperfect man received light back in the day and were able to write the Bible. So they are setting Jah up as the fall guy when saying they had new light because the old light is wrong - when we know the holy spirit is the most powerful thing in the universe. This means those men are not getting any light. As Deut. says they are also false prophets.{Acts 5:29 WE MUST OBEY GOD AS RULER...} Not 8 governing body men who have holy spirit?... Jehovah’s Witnesses have had wrong expectations about when the end would come. (January 1, 2013 Watchtower)
Why should anyone listen to those who claim to "preach God's word" and is wrong! What are Jehovah's Witnesses wrong about? When the "end" would come! Have you ever heard of what the Bible says about false prophets? (deut 18:20-22) Do false prophets come from perfect people or imperfect people? What did Jesus say about those that deceive and claim the "time is near"? (Luke 21:8) DO NOT FOLLOW THEM!
1940 - “The year 1940 is certain to be the most important year yet because Armageddon is very near.” (Informant, April 1940, p. 1) Passed off as "truth" 77 years ago!
    1941 - “Armageddon is surely near…” (Children, 1941, p. 366) More truth!
    1942 - “Now, with Armageddon immediately before us…” (Watchtower, April 1, 1942, p. 139)
1946 - “The disaster of Armageddon… is at the door.” (Let God be True, 1946, p. 194) Before I was born
1955 - “In the light of the fulfillment of Bible prophecy, it is becoming clear that the war of Armageddon is nearing its breaking-out point.” (You May Survive in God’s New World, 1955, p. 331)
1966 - “Armageddon is, in fact, very close indeed.” (Watchtower, October 15, 1966, p. 629) more facts
What did Jesus say about those that deceive and claim the "time is near"? (Luke 21:8) DO NOT FOLLOW THEM!
They have kept every one in a state of "war readiness" which will wear a soul down and have done it for over 70 years - scaring people, telling them to hide their literature and have a to-go pack ready. Crazy end of the world talk, making people have breakdowns.
The gift Jesus gave for all - have you ever been given a gift? Did someone then come and take it away, or set conditions on your gift? You can only have it if you wash my car every other weekend? That has probably not happened. Ephesians 2:8-9 King James Version (KJV)8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Abraham was declared righteous - as an example to us all. In that his faith bore fruits because he was faithful . Let me describe this like this: His faith was a seed and it grew and grew and because of his righteousness and his faithfulness his seed became a tree that bore fruit and that fruit was seen by all (in his acts-the way he behaved and acted and dealt with others and how he followed Gods laws) he was so very faithful and stayed on course that he gave up his son Isaac -we know the story. So his faith bore fruit(acts) and his works are the natural fruit to the seed that grew from his faith in God. So in James he is not contridicting Paul at KJV Acts16: 29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, 30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. 34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house. James 2:1-13 is about loving all people equally and the law but go to James 2:14 and his letter picks back up again on faith and works: 2:14-18 Please pay attention to verse 18 - read it carefully maybe out loud its tricky. The point is, deeds are a natural byproduct of a faithful person. Faith will do something when a person is faithful, it is a natural culmination as in the case of Abraham -friend of God, if you are not faithful you will be outed by your own show of lack of good deeds basically and honorable obiediant behavior.
...Interestingly James 2 is about loving all people - not discriminating; its interesting in James 2:4-13:....making some people more important than others. (I use the KJV because the JW Bible has been re-written and has scriptures removed - they no longer match the Greek Septuagint nor the Hebrew Translations.)

My own mother has disowned me as a "Diseased mentally ill peson who eats at the devil's table" - nice right? She knew my situation and her Elder hubby knew too and stuck up for me in the meeting but it wasn't enough. Its sad that they break famlies apart with this shunning - not for 6 months or a year but for 25 - does that seem right? You and your farmily are together in this at least and not broken apart. Read the Bible without the watchtower, the Apostles didn't need watchtower. You will see what a large role Jesus plays and that there is no place for the governing body.

      Thank you for the encouragement.
Just an FYI ...I appreciate the scriptural use, but only scriptural citations are needed (not entire scriptural quotes) on such an unserviceable venue like youtube comments, meant for quick quips and one liners. We all have Bible hub to quickly retrieve cited scriptures we don't remember.
I am interested to hear your actual story though.
As for us, we were not born into witnesses, so we don't ascribe to the wake up movement, as we were never asleep!

@@unassignedvlog5556 sorry about that - I shortened them - i havn't written anything like it in a long time but I do have strong feelings against them. I was raised in it from 5 until 21 - told I couldn't go to college even tho I wanted to be a commercial writer, and taken from HS in the middle of 10th grade to work and go in service etc by my Mom then at 17 told I should date and settle down. I was a trouble kid I guess because I asked too many questions about why this scripture didn't match the watchtower. We had to read it every year - duh you'd think more people would figure it out if they were truly reading but I also did things like went into the public library and read other encylopedias made by other religions - Britiannica wasn't they only maker at the time because I wanted to see what their definition was of JW's and holidays were, things like that. Many times my mom tattled on me calling me an apostate but I wasn't baptised yet and only 10 and in the early 80's that wasnt a fad yet. So I think my Mom had it out for me because I made her question her faith in the religion, well she got rid of me. But I believe my eyes were always open. People were being disfellowshipped for crazy things same as me and I was there in 75 when "THE END WAS COMING IN OCTOBER" and everyone was selling their stuff and buying boats and motorhomes to live out of and quitting their jobs - they even made a special resurrection house in California for the first resurrectee's to live in - very posh. We all donated money too that piece of realestate - which is what they really are, free labor & discounted stuff to build a quick build on donated property - then sell it later for triple its old value - they are real estate moguls. Anyway I like your channel and thank you both for sharing your story and being able to keep up with a youtube channel. Jason Zelda has a great channel with a series you may or may not have watched; and Son of Thunder. I'll write my story another morning. Its not a fun thing to remember. I will say on the awake/not awake. I tried to tell people, my Mom and others and they are so in fear of or full of belief they cannot see anything of what I'm saying and if you saying anything negative it triggers instant persecution complex. Most people who get out and know they are not going back still find themselves defending that faith for no reason when horrible things happen there. SO I have seen the brainwashing and I believe it takes a certain type of person who wants to give up that control to others and just follow in relief and when they do they become sheep and do and believe what they are told - they want to. My Mom is one of those -no character, asleep. Others who are studying and waiting for a shoe to drop leave when they get scared; Some don't feel good about shunning and other things start to clear for them. I seen a million storries, been the stories. Most kids raised in it leave, you try growing up shunned at school and having a constant state of war pressed upon you plus throw in invisible demons and a god who see's everything your doing and elders who tell you to cut your hand off if you masterbate - freaks all of them!

@@thesacredmom2784Thank you for sharing. We know may people are bitter, and sometimes rightfully so. I don't get individuals that want to follow a man, I get it is only wisdom to listen to men. (Hosea 11:4) But to follow? No.
We find that with bitterness can come exaggeration, so it becomes hard to differentiate the real from the exaggeration. For instance I have never heard someone literally say to cut off your hand for masturbation. (though someone may misspeak or mishear a reference to Jesus words at Matthew 5:29) Or maybe some psycho actually said it, but its not the norm. That imbalance is what triggers that persecution complex, as it apperceives a discredit when there may not be one. But you are correct, many don't want to hear anything negative...that's just not reality, and like we mentioned, you wont hear anything negative about North Korea if you live there...does that make them a paradise because there is no negative talk?
It seems there is wisdom on both sides of the coin that should considered on the subject of college. Now a days, just by doing simple math, one starts out in the hole 100k by going to college. My sister is a lawyer, and her husband works at a nuclear facility, they readily admit their student loan payments are the same as their mortgage and they will take their student loans with them to their grave (as is the case with many college grads these days). Now, don't get me wrong, they have a nice house and a nice life, two beautiful boys, etc... but its a 'flow through' money system you live off of, constant carrying of the stress of debt, but that's the only way to achieve some career choices. On the other hand my wife and I have no college(I took a year of auto body), yet we own 4 houses, a shop, along with other properties and have over well over 20 cars (classics and drivers), all debt free...my point is you can make a successful argument for either choice, and you can make the pitfalls argument for either choice, but one should be full aware of the pitfalls and potentials of each before getting into them. The same can be said for the spirituality of individuals. Here they have these WT articles of professionals in various fields stating why they believe in God, while at the same time saying that going to college will destroy ones faith...you cant have it both ways! The problem the society has is the overwhelming pressure they put up that adds the societal congregation pressure, which alienates someone for no reason.
We don't mind most of the beliefs, and we can prove with scripture what we believe. Usually the ones you can't prove from scripture are about their authority which we don't bother arguing.(Romans 13:7) Even shunning has its place, but when you withhold the truth of what's required and twist the consequences, it becomes downright immoral, especially when you entrap a youngster and hold their family in extortion. (1 Corinthians 6:10)
How old were you when baptized?

I know the elder was not serious but it was some of the younger kids that didn't know and had not even touched themselves yet so he deliberately misused the scriptures that day it was a Tuesday night in someones home - the bible study night. But my Mom didn't correct him afterwords for my little brother, I did bring it up in the car when we were almost home and she agreed that it wasn't correct. My Mom pressured me so much, after taking me from school & getting me a job with a couple in the hall from midnight to 7am so I could go in service when I got home, she couldn't do private studying with me because I asked too many questions and I didn't trust her to tell on me so I wouldn't study with her anymore so she got a sister in the hall to do it. THen when I was 15.5 she stressed that she'd like to see me baptized before 17 or I'd be finding new place to live since I could work and legally be on my own in our state. I was shocked but she said she felt I was becomming an apostate and I was a bad example for my little brother. She was very physical. So anyway I didn't want to be kicked out that was scary and she scared me with shunning which was scary so I got baptized. at 16. I'd been raised it and it was easy to do so. ...And it was just as easy to leave, which I wish I'd just done at 16 because I gained all the family she refused to zealously see after she became a JW simply because they wouldn't be one too. She was very very zealous and went farther than most so I didn't see most of our family than once in a great while and if I got gifts and they were even close to a holiday I had to send them back with a hand written letter. They all just took me in and loved me like they had when I'd been a child. They said they were happy to have me out of there. I guess I see the religion thru a child eyes and growing up. What things looked wrong to me would be different than an adult. People do things in front of kids because they don't realize we are watching or they don't care. I saw men HIT their wives, elders do this! With no issue from the back room. I found out later "Its allowed". "Just turn the other cheek". Kids get beatings - bad beatings. I KNOW this. Kids get molested, I know this - I KNOW this. 16 years of "in" and 2 of trying to come to an agreement before they decided to make a story up for me. I didn't go to my judicial hearing because they'd made up charges that weren't true. So I said forget it, they've wanted it and they are tired of struggling with me so now they've decided to make something up. I'm not dealing in their politics anymore. I'm not going to hear their lies and try guilt me for something I didn't do. They didn't even have 2 witnesses.

I answered that when I was baptised the questions were different and I dedicated myself to God and not an Org. My best friend did not believe the OG teaching, but he immediately shunned us. This is not by chance, this is by design, and the GB is at the center of the charade. If I am a Christian, my allegiance is yo God, through Jesus, using the Bible as guideline, not WT issued publications. You do not need a man made system, organisation, church...whatever.. to belong to Christ..because you have already been given to him. The Father already has given you to His son, so it is not up to any man to say if you are Gods child or not.
Commit fully, seek truth over every other thing that you do, seek God to worship Him in spirit and in truth, trust in all His good promises and learn who He keeps them to. The JWS get some things right. They stand for one truth that most of the other daughters have discarded and that is they do not worship the trinity idol.
The mother has infiltrated the JWS just like she has within all her wayward daughters. She works from the shadows to bring this organisation under her rule, and if she cannot bring you under her trinity banner she will create such a climate of discord within as to bring the organisation to ruin. The devil runs all the churches except for one. The one that the scriptures tell us belongs to Christ..who are HIS BODY.
If you believe you can sign up, take a wafer, get baptised into any man made, man run organisation and say "now I am a child of God" or "now I am saved".. then you are in for a rude shock when Christ returns to claim who are his.
You are far better off coming out of Babylon than staying within her..you have your manual, read it! Ask God for wisdom, for His Holy Spirit, ask for eyes to see, ears to hear. Ask for guidance for light and for faith. He will supply everything you need just as you need it. I would be thanking God for being dis fellowshipped for you are free to follow what the spirit is trying to say to the true 'church' - the body of Christ. Let no man be your conscience follow only the man God designed this whole world for, the man He Himself raised up and put His spirit upon.
The success of the JW organisation is mind control through indoctrination and fear, the same tactics as her mother the great whore church. Satan is the puppet master and he really does not care where you are as long as you are destroying your chance to find the narrow path that so few find, and even happier if you are bringing along with you, others you may influence.
The bible is the only manual you will need, but you have to have a guide, and if you truly love truth, if you really seek God with a fully committed heart, He will give you everything you need, just as you need it. Look for the fruit of the spirit..it is the only true indication you are being led on the right path. Do not let anything stop you from trusting in God's word, just be very careful of the Babylonian churches interpretations of it.

As for Babylon the Great we dont ascribe that they match the description in Revelation 17: 2, 6. However Matthew 24 48-51seems to be what they should be worried about. I have a friend of 50 yrs who is a witness. I studied for a while but had reservations and decided to do my own research. This lead me to believe that it's a false religion but that the Bible is truly the word of God.I believe we are saved by grace and not of works lest any man should boast. To works to the cross I believe is blasphemous.Works follow grace. Are you aware of the Australian royal commission and the lies and refusal to comply by the governing body. The wittnesses taken to court in Canada presently and other cases of paedophillia in the organisation and how it's been handled. Also the fact that the witnesses were members of the United Nations for ten years until it came out in the news and they completely withdrew. Also that they have shares in companies like Lockheed Martin and and cigarette companies.I have a real heart for wittnesses because I feel they are so mislead.Sorry this is so lengthy but my longing is for wittnesses to really know the truth and be free. Our wonderful Saviour is coming soon for His glorious bride.Made white through His precious blood and nothing else."Just as I am without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me".We turn from unbelieve to Him and ask for His cleansing blood. We are then justified through faith. The sanctification work begins. We are not perfect but indwelt by the Holy Spirit to convict us.Then we will be glorified.God always has a remnant. If you don't know Son of thunder I would highly recommend his channel.I sincerely pray as you seek the truth of God's word that he will reveal himself to you in ways you never imagined. With every blessing.

Then if they knew that I have the same misbeliefs like you and I cannot speak about that with anyone either.
It's just mental torture, and the mistreatment makes it emotional torture. And it's all about control. God is not about control, he doesn't want control. Watching videos about other subjects have made see more and more that total control is the devil's game. And that gives the organisation's whole system a new very dark twist.

The Pharisee Rabbi's will tell you that the handwashing was not up to the elbows before a meal, that was invented by someone else, now they wanted to be viewed as holy as the priests in the temple, most likely in my opinion, but they invented a prayer for washing hands before eating bread, it was a ceremonial two-handled vessel, nothing like a ceremony to make a worshiper feel like they are being holy. It's also part of the many prayers or behaviors that the Pharisees invented for righteous Jews to follow, it's the pride and of being better, these were never in the Bible. So some history from a Jewish source, I prefer to go to Nehemiawall dot com or to A Rood Awakening dot TV but I also look at the site called my Jewish learning because this gives us incite, we no longer have to wait on men in suits from a podium to tell us the research, "Origins of Netilat Yadayim
The tradition of netilat yadayim prior to eating bread originated with the rabbis of the Talmud. It derives from various practices concerning ritual impurity from when the ancient Temple stood in Jerusalem. The priests who performed the temple rituals were given gifts of oil, wine and wheat that could be eaten only after ritual washing. For various reasons, the ancient rabbis extended this practice to all Jews before eating meals. Some sources suggest that the practice was instituted so the Temple’s washing ritual would not be forgotten." www.myjewishlearning.com/article/hand-washing/

There is a difference between having Jehovah without THE organization, and having him without HIS own organizing (ways of organization). Some one could say THE organization is Catholic, others could say it is Anglican, others Russian Orthodox. THE organization is not specifically Jehovah otherwise wicked king Saul was doing all Jah wanted and we should obey and suffer with it, which means David come into Saul and let himself not just be shunned but actually killed. Do you really think Samuel sent a flyer out of 1million copies saying David is your king, do not obey Saul anymore who says kill David. The true organization is 144,000 not the governing body who fed them (but then also beat them as Jesus said the GB-FDS might dare to do). Just because Jesus warned and predicted it could be that way, did not mean the GB-FDS had to comply and make it true saying see Jesus came true again, we are beating our flock, even the least anointed brothers of heaven using appointed elders to beat them.

@@mrsdanmillerI will refrain from being dogmatic, but we have always appreciated the seemingly slight difference between being given new robes(Rev 6:11) and washing robes(Rev 22:14).
As for the end being near and more partakers, again not to be dogmatic, but it would stand to reason, even within JW theology(though hierarchy may not like it) that there are more living today than living previously, so it would stand to reason if one were to rule a people you must be familiar with the culture and the idiosyncrasies of the time period. The gradual dying off thing was not a Biblical teaching. The scriptures simply say they must die first. (John 12:24, 1Corinthians 15:36) Apparently those at the end will all die in relatively close proximity.(1Thessalonians 4:17) This may indicate a transfer to death such as Enoch, or executed or natural death until the number is fulfilled. (Hebrews 11:5) It seems best not to b dogmatic. Whatever the case, tbut apparently they must be dead and resurrected by the time Armageddon is carried out. (Revelation 17:14)

Lets share Matthew 5-7 the sermon on the mount with attention to Matthew 6.
Dont show off. Dont show off by giving charity where others SEE you do it. Dont pray in public. Dont pray on the streets. Go to your room and pray where ONLY god sees you. If anyone sees you pray...then their thoughts about your devotion is all the reward you are going to get.
It goes ON to say to NOT pray in church. Apparently prayer was supposed to be a PRIVATE conversation with your god.
Now if a religious group DISAGREES with that...yet claims to be followers of Jesus is that a problem? If they follow Jesus then shouldnt Jesus be the FINAL word unless Jehovah himself speaks in a loud voice from the sky?
Do JWs pray at the Kingdom Hall?
The true religion allows ANY questions.
What happened when Thomas doubted? Was he told...how DARE you doubt? You have lost eternal life?
Was he not allegedly shown evidence?
Suppose Jesus was asked which was more important....law vs life? Would he for example get a sheep out of a ditch on a sabbath to save the sheep? Jesus said he would. Would the governing body allow a transfusion to save a life and put life over law? Apparently once again the GB disagrees with Jesus.
If the governing body and Jesus disagree....who should you follow IF you claim to be Christian?
Lets do another example. What if Jesus was asked if he...would ever associate with sinners or tax collectors? Wasnt he ridiculed by religious leaders in the bible stories for doing just that? Didnt he ask folks without sin to cast the first stone? Did he not say to stop complaining about the straw in your brothers eye and yet ignoring the rafter (huge beam of wood) in your own? So if the GB or even other bible characters promoted shunning, whom should you follow if they disagree with Jesus IF you claim to be Christian?
The WT org has times with the WT GB disagree with Jesus and yet....the correct action per that group is to follow the GB...even if Jesus disagreed. Does that seem right to you re a group that calls itself Christian?
    KDRogersMD on twitter
Be forewarned, I am NOT....a Christian. The JWs claim to be. I was a JW kid...then found out Noah's global flood circa 1565 years after biblical Adam (See Genesis 5 and Noah's supposed age at the flood per Gen. 7 to get this number) NEVER happened. Look up when the native Americans got to America. All life NOT on the ark allegedly died yet...the Native Americans just ....failed to notice the flood. The plants and animals they used for food....just failed to die in the flood. Check every OTHER continent save the Arctic and Antarctic. Look up when people arrived there. Find out if they failed to notice humanity had not started yet with Adam 6000 years ago. See if they failed to notice a global flood of Noah and the flood fame. When the org mentioned Adam....we pictured a middle Eastern garden and NOT a planet with people already on every continent. When they mentioned a global flood, we pictured Noah and an ark...not people, plants and animals world wide that failed to die. Once you widen your view of the planet WHEN the creation of humanity allegedly happened....and when the flood allegedly happened, you cant ...unsee it.
All those versus you found dull in bible reading where someone was X years old and beget someone else or an event happened...allows building a time line of bible events. Now these events either had to happen where, when and how the bible said or ....the bible is not the inerrant word of anyone.
Also please DO look up Canaanite gods, El, Asherah, Yahweh.
See for example Wikipedia Yahweh. No its not the final word but is a place to begin.
Yahweh was a bronze age addition to the El and Asherah fictional family of gods as a lesser god. Yahweh priests rose in power and so the spin became that Yahweh was the high god. See Exodus 20. It does NOT say....dont believe other gods are real. It says that none of those OTHER GODS...should be in priority to Yahweh. The spin that Yahweh was always the ONLY god was a later development.
Note the original version of Yahweh per the bible...walked in the garden of Eden, had a face....that no man could see and yet live, had a right hand near where the favored would sit etc. The later version was that god was an all knowing, all powerful spirit being who could foresee the future. That the description of the god changed smelled of human construct. Humanity changed its exception as to what a god should be.
Also realize that if YOU stole something, and let someone else take the blame and go to prison, that would be TWO wrongs. It is an injustice to allow another, an innocent, to pay for your misdeeds. Christianity is based on that premise. You do wrong yet....are supposed to let Jesus pay for that. Morally its wrong. But wait...Yahweh will knock up a Jewish girl who had not yet known a man and was betrothed to another....to create the baby to be used as a human sacrifice. Morally repugnant? Based on the power difference between a god and a girl....wasnt this essentially rape? The penalty for having sex with a betrothed female of another ....was DEATH. So by Jewish law....Yahweh should be put to death for that. Yet YOU are to agree to that, accept that rape. Accept a human sacrifice. Then you are to gain from it by using Jesus supposedly as a scapegoat. So what happened? Could Yahweh not allegedly foresee that he was going to use Mary? So why break his own laws and not tell her BEFORE she agreed to be betrothed to Joseph? Realize that since Mary was betrothed....she had to object to being impregnated by another OR merit the death penalty. Once Yahweh knocked up Mary....was he to do the honorable thing and marry her? Yet he did not. Did ya notice that? He knocked up a woman then dumped responsibility on another ie left Joseph to take care of her and the kid? Is Yahweh really the role model for family values?
So Yahweh knocks up a Jewish girl betrothed to someone else. If you believe as the writers claimed...but she really wanted it...then ya would be parroting words of most rapists. The bible writers went that route. It still was a violation of Jewish law and morality. Meanwhile how did Joseph feel about someone else impregnating his betrothed? Yahweh apparently did not care. Joseph was mostly irrelevant in the story. How kind was that? Jewish law indicates that an unkindness of that magnitude merits death and if the girl is willing...of both offending parties. Joseph should have been relevant.
Granted since Yahweh fails re the Adam story, Noah story, creation story, tower of Babel story (re all the world was ONE language yet the Egyptians and Sumerians had not only different spoken languages but different written ones by the supposed flood date) then the impregnation of Mary story was fiction.
You may not LIKE what I have said but that doesnt make the issues I have raised NOT a problem.
