Huge thanks to Fylde Guitars, LR Baggs pickups and Sontronics Microphones.
A new video on a new guitar. This thing is an absolute beauty. Guitar played is a Fylde Custom Ariel, with Sinker Redwood top and Italian Acacia back and sides.
Gorgeous playing on a gorgeous guitar. The perfect separation of the voices by the artist in connection with the sheer endless sustain of the trebles is absolutely extraordinary!
Thanks very much, Niko - it's a damn fine guitar no doubt about that!
Truly Awesome! You're phrasing is beautiful.
Thanks very much Don, this tune certainly calls out for gratuitous phrasing I think =)
Love those Ariel's
Me too!
== Again, BEAUTIFUL. I am learning this right away. Thank you for the song Will McNicol. Beautiful. ===
Thank you, Kenneth!
4 years later is one of the peacefullest things ive ever listened to, gonna learn your song for my hsc performance
Oh that’s awesome to hear, Connor. And hey - all the best for your performance!
Saludos, buen vid.
Simply beautiful, a privilege to listen to.
Popit Molly Thanks kindly =)
So beautifully played Will! Inspiring and one of the reasons I recently ordered a Fylde Ariel :)
Thanks Bill! And hey, congratulations on your Ariel - you’re gonna have a wonderful time with one of those in your arsenal!
Still watch this before most practices to clear my head, learn to breath more slowly and listen to each note and each space between. Beautiful and such clarity. (I have high blood pressure and monitored it before and during listening to this - think I've found the answer - sod the meds !! - Ha) Thank you !
Ah well that's lovely to hear, Nick - thank you. A prescription of Casting Shadows - there's a novel idea =D
Wow that tone is heaven like, player and guitar in complete unison. My dad played Splendido hotel by Al Di Meola the other day, and to my surprise he was using Fylde guitars.
Ah thanks so much Andy, really appreciate that. Yes I believe Mr Meola has at least a couple of Fyldes =) They do turn up all over the musical spectrum!
Such beautiful music! Great work, and thank you!
Thank you, Michael!
Very relaxing. Superb musicianship. Lovely Fylde Ariel Guitar. Acacia & Sinker Redwood!
Thanks very much, Peter! Yes I'm a very lucky chap with this guitar =)
Great sound, sustain . . beautiful
Thank you!
That is the sweetest instrument I have ever heard - Fylde is so great
lenmusic Ah glad you like it. Fyldes are indeed very special things =)
@@will_mcnicol fylde guitars are something else. Have you heard of fylde lysander. My sir has it. Amazing playing.
So peacefull thank you
Thanks for listening, Christianne =)
amazing long fingers that could stretch an octave !! - lovely playing and beautiful tone, clarity and guitar
Nick thanks Nick, that’s much appreciated!
stunning mate!
Ah thanks, Jack!
Excellent!
Thanks, Giulio =)
Nice dynamics... ok let's practicing! Thx man!
Thanks man - appreciate that! Yes, and I should get back to some practice as well come to think of it!
that's why... redwood is my favorite choice...
안지환 One of my favourites too =)
I wonder how this compares now you’ve played the likes of Casimi, Sobell, Greenfield and Kostal? An unusual and seemingly complimentary wood combo. Sounds beautiful. Think I’ll give Mr Bucknall a call.
Dr Lulz Thanks very much. This is one of my favourite guitars to play for this track in particular. It compares outstandingly well against all those stunners you mention. I love the character of a Fylde - very distinctive. Yes do give Roger a call - and say hi from me!
Will McNicol - Thank you for the response. This is a wonderful piece and your playing is exceptional here as always. I’ve heard you play it on several guitars now and I must say there’s something a bit special about this recording, the voice of this guitar and your phrasing. A great combo imho. Thank you for sharing your wonderful music and your experience. I’ll tell Roger Will sent me.
Is that a standard Ariel? It looks beautiful (and sounds beautiful)! The top looks different than on the Fylde website, what are the woods of the top and body? Thanks!
Jonathan McGrath Hi Jonathan, thanks for that! It's a custom this one, with a Sinker Redwood top and Italian Acacia back and sides =)
@@will_mcnicol Did you go to Lake district for the order yourself?
