Amazon Junk that has misleading marketing!!
We all have different budgets and wants for tools! No matter what your budget is, we want the tool to last longer than the second use. Since the introduction of Amazon, we have all been introduced to many new companies that do not have to deal with a return rate in a store or fight for shelf space. These companies can change names overnight and even sell the same tools under multiple names.
If that is not bad enough, these companies find people willing to give them a 5-star review if they send them a free tool. So, Amazon Reviews are not real? Yeah, there was a legal issue over that a few years ago and it "should" have stopped. Did it? Hell no. But the good news is the people who are fooled into buying the junk are speaking out with 1-star reviews. Pay attention to bad reviews and if you buy stuff, please leave reviews as it helps all of us.
These pressure washers are full of marketing BS claiming 3,800 PSI and showing a rated PSI of 2,200. The gallons per minute are rated with the soap nozzle. There is so much junk and poor English in the manual that it is hard to read. If I can make one suggestion, stay a long way from these pressure washers as they are total garbage.
Watch the video. Leave a comment. Help your Neighbor. But Do NOT buy one of these!
#DoNotBuy #Scam #FalseAdvertising - Навчання та стиль
When ever I research anything on Amazon, I just go to the negative comments. If there is a common issue that are being negatively said then I will usually pass on the item, also if there are more than 10% negative comments then I will pass on it.
Many of these have next to no negatives. They are too new or have paid off most people.
the negatives can be very informing about what exactly the product is meant for, or can't do, etc...
I saw a homdox pressure washer rated at 2850 psi at 1.76 gpm. About 35 reviews all 5 stars. hmmmm...
In my experience, anything you buy on Amazon, that is not a brand new item from a trusted brand, it's absolutely garbage. Of the last 10 orders I've made, 5 of them have either been the wrong item, or not nearly as good as advertised.
Ur house supply water is just 1+ gal per minutes even you use a 1000000000dollars electric pressure water you will still get same result ..the video is totally 100% wrong at all sayying it
You can watch one hundred idiots barely review these things, or you can come here and get a thoughtful, real review. Kudos and thank you!
Wish you woulda used a good quality pressure washer after the tests to show what a good one can accomplish.
Right!!
Yes was really waiting for that. Opportunity severely missed!
This wasn't comparison review. It was a demonstration to expose the scam.
@@DittyDafku I had a very good 2600psi gas powered pressure washer...it finally died on me after more than 10 years of use two weeks ago...yes, gas powered pressure washers are better but if your use case is for residential home use, you don't need anything beyond what these electric pressure washers offer. Granted, you shouldn't be paying more than $100-$150 for one but you don't need a $300-$600 gas powered unit to wash cars, clean concrete patios or home siding.
Any recommendations?
How about a video on what TO buy. I now know what NOT to buy......
@Drew Ariel don’t fall for this

Thank you so much for doing these tests and educating us. Especially with the 110 capability and the amount of pressure the hose can withstand.
Thanks for the great review and saving me from making a bad purchase. My small 13 year old 1400 psi Karcher now rapidly cycles on-off by itself and seems like its lost a bit of pressure. This week I was looking at the Harbor Freight Portland 1750 psi but want something closer to 2000 psi. While tempted at the specs and reviews, your review saved me from making a regrettable purchase so I will stick with another Karcher.
I bought a SunJoe model that looks very similar to your number one model at Sam's for around $120 this weekend. I used it to powerwash my garage. It did a decent job of cleaning the dirt and mud which accumulated over the Winter. It's kind of cheaply made but for what I needed it worked well enough.
Amazing review! Thank you so much! This is exactly what is going on right now. Please don't be fooled by Amazon stuff. All products are fluffed and reviews are fake. Please do your research and appreciate these youtubers doing all this work for us.
Glad I watched this before buying one, thanks
wish you did a comparison with a regular gas washer and wash half way on the wood to show the differences of before and after.
Was wondering if someone could just make a conclusion? I have watched the vid but still a bit confused. Is 1, 2, or 3 the best. or was there a different electric power washer that he recommended that I didnt catch?
You saved me from wasting money, someone got a new subscriber, thank you!
Very glad you did this review. The laws of physics apply here of course and a 1800W motor will max out at approx. 1.7 gpm @ 2000 psi. Anything more would require a bigger motor AND a house circuit breaker higher than the universal 15A used in NA. The more respectable brands sold at the retails stores do advertise a lower gpm for a higher pressure. The 0 deg and 40 deg is supposed to have the same nozzle size so it is normal the flow rate is the same for all pressure washers.
I have the second one done had it a year washing cars, degreasing engines cleaning the floor mats ect... Does what I need it to do if your doing heavy cleaning use industrial kind
24:37 The dislikes probably came from the companies who put their brand on the units because I don't see how a consumer would dislike such a detailed review.
I would’ve liked for you to use a good pressure washer on the same wood you used with the other three also would’ve liked to see what would be a Good purchase. I appreciate the video though.
Looks just like the Harbor Freight electric pressure washer... but at least that thing is only $80 w/coupon and rated for a more-believable 1750PSI.
Yup, you will find these in many stores in the USA under different names in the 50-150 price range.. Sad.
Great video. I just bought a VEVOR 2300psi electric washer and really like it. It's great for washing our vehicles. I have a gas washer for the heavy jobs.
Having just used a 6.5 HorsePower gasoline powered washer for four days straight (cleaning my house/patios/driveways etc) definitely dont think these even come close to comparing...Maybe they're fine for light duty (or low noise) as you demonstrated, but it would appear, good ole gasoline washers will out perform their electric counterparts; until Tesla releases a pressure washer 🤣
Gas is not going anywhere. That's coming from a guy who owns a Tesla.
Only idiots think everything gas powered is automatically more powerful. If a gas powered PW is rated for 1500 psi and so is the electric, they will literally provide the same performance. In fact the electric will keep going all day with lesser noise and no pollution at a fraction of the cost while the gas powered one will guzzle fuel and be noisy and polluting. I have used both and I prefer the electric ones, they are expensive though.
@@amit2hotgun as I said, electric are good for light duty. If you want 3000+ psi, u gotta go gas. Life hack: try to communicate without insulting people, you'll get more respect that way.
Yeah man, gas still gonna be around unless they make one of these that run off a higher circuit, if want high power go gas, if you don't need the high psi electric is fine
How can you half the pressure? I want to clean aircon fins only need ~600w of power. Would rags over the end or a variac do the trick?
So true. The renaming and reselling of reconditioned is also a problem. Experienced this with the Husquvarna 3200 psi, resold at Princess auto under the name Murray.
Interesting I was just looking at the TEANDE Electric Pressure Washer 3800 PSI. Starting to have second thoughts now. Thanks for the info!
Glad to help
Thanks for your video. I was going to switch from my gas washer to electric but after looking at your review, I’m going to stick with my gas. Save me a bunch of money. Thanks again.
Im so glad i found you. I almost baught an electric powryte pressure washer that was supposed to be 4000 psi 3GPM
Out of all the ones i have tried from amazon the powryte 3800 was the strongest i had but it stopped working after the 3rd use. The teande was garbage hondox was garbage. The powryte was somewhat the strongest but a $200 price tag. I just returned the powryte after 6 mnths purchase they honored a refund - $30 for shipping so i just got the new mr alliance 3800 for $170.. I like the gas ones but not in my price range for the use i need. Thanks for this video wish i wouldve known sooner. Also stay away from the ones with the bottle on the side for the soap with a plastic tube. The foam "cannon" is ok.
@@ilovemoney2762 your gonna waste a lot of money just get a hyundai gas decent enough
This is important work & info, thank you!
Thank you for the review...good information. Home depot has a "SEED" program for select people to review products. But they do identify that review as part of the program. I give them credit for that...at least you know up front.
I really, really appreciate what you safe me from, I was about to purchase this machine… but now i opened my eye 👍🏼
Hello have a Question about the mrliance 3600PSI Electric would be so kind to tell me the size of the fitting of the hose both ends I would truerly appreciate it.
Side by side with a good one would be more useful, especially side by side with similar ratings rather than various ones.
Thank you!
It would have been nice to compare them with the other electric pressure washers you already reviewed, Ryobi, Greenworks, and Power. In particular, the Power looks very similar to these three. Are these just cheaper versions of the same pump? Is the Ryobi really more powerful and worth 2 - 3 times the price the Amazon knock-offs. I'm not excusing the rampant lying on Amazon but it would be nice to know.
Great video. Especially the ending!
I just became interested in getting a PW to clean my disgusting chicken coop. I am SO glad I stumbled on to your video.. Of course there is false advertising. There is with everything else why would PWs be any different.
Thank you for the time you put into this.. Bravo sir. .
Thanks for making this video. I was actually considering one on...
I just did a whole 24 ft. Open Fisherman boat. Did a great job with my bosses SunJoe. Took all the mold and algae off and it was there for about a year. The boat was a mess......not anymore. Great little electric. Maybe not up to gas e ones in power. But super decent performance
I hate returning stuff but I’m definitely doing it for this so I can put the money toward something real. At first I was impressed with it, I never used a pressure washer before, so the power it delivered was impressive at first. Thanks for the video! Honestly you should redo this video with a side by side comparison to a proper non-scam product, to really drive the point home.
Ur house supply water is just 1+ gal per minutes even you use a 1000000000dollars electric pressure water you will still get same result ..the video is totally 100% wrong at all sayying it
@AtmeLook-si8qr You're out to lunch, let me put your heck on a table with a reduced to 1gal/min pin hole tip metal cutter.
Then I'll take a gallon of water and pour it on your severed head for 60 seconds and you can tell me it's the same.
These are pretty good ngl I’ve used them at work and to get the dead bugs off the front end of my truck it’s alright and yeah they might take a while to deep clean but it’s easy to use and cheap, don’t have high expectations and for less than 100 bucks I’m sold
Any recommendation for electric pressure washer for commercial grade??
I went with greenworks 2300 3ry warranty and 10 year on the brushless motor better warranty than ryobi and i do have ryobi tools cannot pass on that type of warranty
Great comparison, and I found something, oddly enough on Amazon. Its a pressure washer psi, gauge. Its 18.99 . I bought to check the pressure on my various pressure watchers. I've found that one of the only mfg. to state a psi, and deliver that psi, was of all companies, Ryobi, I have the ryobi 3200 gas pressure washer with a Honda motor, and it actually puts out over 3300 psi. I also have 2 of their smaller electric models, 1700, and 1900 psi,, and both of them put out over 100 psi then actually stated. I have a sun joe, rated at 2050, and it only puts out 1800 psi, so if you want to check your units psi, get that psi gauge.
Did you buy the one that goes into the QD on the tip of the gun?
@@WorkshopAddict No you connect one end to the pressure hose, and the other to the base of of the gun with quick connects, on amazon for 18.99 made of plated brass.
The name of it is "M Mingle, it reads from 0-6000 psi. 18.99, now in stock, with prime delivery.
@@copper1083 Roger, what I thought. It would not fit these. Wondering if there was a different model.
Here’s the best life lesson you will ever get as a consumer. BUY ONCE CRY ONCE !!!
But what does it mean? I’m kind of slow sorry
@@aronicerda520 I think it means if you buy something nice and expensive, you’ll cry over how expensive it is but, you wont cry a bunch of times having bought a bunch of cheap crappy stuff
Omg people are still falling for bs Chinese junk. I’m going to buy one & put a pressure gauge on it & i can guarantee it’s no even close to 1800psi. Try 800
The pressure is measured while it’s operating at maximum power & water flow. No chance that little toy can pull those numbers. You’ll need at least 5hp 3500w motor with hefty pump to get 3000psi. Check out ryobis new 2900psi electric washer. & take a look at the motor on that thing 🤫
As a homeowner I have the ryobi 2k psi/1.2gpm 115v electric unit. I mostly use it for washing my truck, cleaning my siding, and drive way does a pretty decent job. I recommend it, just buy a different hose for it cause the factory one is stiff and way to short.
We list out all the stuff needed for that machine under our review of it.
You just saved me from wasting my money on one of these...thank you!
Glad we could help!
@@WorkshopAddict seriously appreciate it! I had it in the cart and everything...thank God for UA-cam reviews!
@@WorkshopAddict please do a review of the sunjoe electric pressure washer please and let us know if it's worth buying?
so which ones are the ones to buy ?
You are awesome. I love the end of your video and I appreciate your information as I am about to buy a pressure washer!
Thanks Brian!
I just bought and then returned the cheapest one at harbor freight. It was branded Portland, was rated at 1700 PSI and 1.3gpi . It wasn't powerful enough to wash the dirt off my concrete patio. So I ordered some no name brand from Amazon that was rated at 3500psi and 2.8gpi. l don't expect those numbers cuz most companies exaggerate on their claims but I figured it'd be a little more powerful than the low price harbor freight one. I'll wait and see when I get it. hopefully it's somewhat better. The one sold at local stores have lower ratings and anything over 2,000 PSI seems to be double the price or more of 1700 or 1800 units.
Any updates?
@@Kyle-ew4zl The one I got from Amazon was only slightly more powerful than the Harbor Freight one. I return that one too. I borrowed a real powerful gas one for my friend. Maybe in the spring I'll try and get another electrical one and see if it has more power
Thanks for helping me save my money
The maximum pressure is different to the consistent operating pressure.
I really enjoy your videos and subscribed to your channel. Next time, you should hook up a pressure gauge to these and a similarly rated gas pressure washer. It would help viewers see just how inaccurate the claims of the manufacture are.
I wish I had seen these videos before I dropped the money on one of those garbage units. I made the mistake of buying one of these cheaper units. The manufacturer claimed the unit was rated at 3000psi with 2.4 gpm. I was happy with my purchase till it went belly up and borrowed my neighbors gas unit. My neighbors gas unit was 2200psi and 2.2 gpm. The difference between mine and his was night and day. The gas unit had significantly more pressure and a higher flow of water, despite being a lower rated washer.
I don't know power washers, but almost pulled the Amazon trigger on one yesterday, based on a positive YT review where the unit was given to the reviewer. But I do understand electrical power, so 1,800 watts at 110AC exceeds my 15A outlet, meaning if it keeps running you're not getting that. And 1gpm measured out is pathetic for cleaning. Hmm. Any suggestions on a light gas powered unit?
1800W does not exceed your 15A outlet but it does determine the maximum pressure/flow combination that is feasible. See my other posting here.
Wow. So helpful. I was about to get one of these. Not anymore.
Glad to help!
I purchased a Sunjoe SPX3000 and I have been happy with it.
How do you feel about the ryobi electric pressure washer model# RY142300?
I'd had my electric Ryobi for 6 years and I beat the shit out of it. Still runs good surprisingly used it about 250 plus hours of use it still works.
Thanks for the heads up! I think I have a sign on my head that says "Please screw me over!".
What is the Amp draw of each machine? That would tell a consumer a lot about a machine's power without trusting the specs.
#1 is 13 amps and #2 and #3 are 15 amps, but when tested, they all draw 13.5 amps. I did not want to get to technical in this video as we get asked a ton of questions on these.
You are right. I purchased the middle one on your bench listed as a Papaco Outdoor 3600 psi 2.4 gpm.. Pacaco sent me a postcard stating they would give me a $50 Amazon E-gift card if i left them a 5 star review. They never give you a gift card so this is how they are getting great reviews. Don't fall for this. Also the Pacaco Outdoor Amazon pressure washer died after the 3rd use.
Great video, however I feel like it's missing a comparison to a good pressure washer
dealing with arthritis in my hands i was wondering do the spray gun triggers have a feature similar to gasoline station pumps were you can lock them in the ON position and not have to use hand pressure to keep them on/spraying?
I got a Powryte brand cheap one off of Amazon and mine has a lock but not to engage the trigger. It’s to keep it from spraying. $119 on Amazon.
I would love to see a teardown of these pressure washers to see if there are any markings on the mechanicals that would show it is the same unit in all three.
Personally, I would stick with proven names like Sun Joe, Ryobi, Greenworks, Karcher and the like. There are some great honest reviews on UA-cam. I wouldn’t discount Amazon reviews, especially if they have a good number of purchasers. I usually stick with anything four stars and higher.
Bottom line - you get what you pay for.
Would be nice if their was a way to connect a psi gauge and measure the pressure on them. Obviously it's not the rated one
Wow thanks it’s Amazon day. I was thinking about buying one of these. I mostly going to use it for cars mornings but I want to use it also to take the white wash off of my house so I can paint it with a good paint do you know off of my basement and garage. Any suggestions would be awesome. On the hunt. Mostly it will be just a foam cannon for detailing washing porches Awnings. Thanks
I'm in the same boat as you. The UA-cam channel "Project Farm" recently did a review on a bunch of different ones (released June 13, 2021 & titled: Best Pressure Washer? Let’s find out! Ryobi vs Karcher, Stanley, Sun Joe, WEN, CAT & WORX) and I liked the Cat 1800. It's pricey, though. I did a bunch of research and it still comes up as the best. It's the one that I'll be getting, soon. I'm still researching components, cleansers, etc. before I put the money out for one.
If I don't go with the Cat 1800, I would get this one and the attachments/parts/cleaners that's talked about in this video. ua-cam.com/video/XoHQFGTLVW4/v-deo.html
In the description if you scroll down on all these products it's specifically says MAX for all the PSI. So they're not lying.
If that if you scrolled out even more in the descriptions.. It does say.. Rated pressure and MAX pressure. They're just emphasizing the MAX
You could say they're being tricky but they're not lying..
And if it really does the max pressure they're saying. Then they're not lying.
Thank you! I almost bought one of those
Thanks for this review. I was about to buy one but not anymore!
Glad we could help.
I bet if you take them apart they have same pump and motor, my ryobi brushless 3 years old still works great
I was planning to on camera, but the video is already pretty long. #1 has a different pump and motor then #2 and #3. #2 and # are identical.
This is a great video and I'm happy that you brought to light some serious truths about these machines and the absurd ratings they get. That said, if you can get past the lies, I think that these can be worthy tools for the money for many people. I own one of these that's rated at 2100 psi and while I doubt that the rating is accurate, I do know that for $110, it's done a great job making my ugly riding mower look 20 years younger and with a little patience, is taking a lot of green mold off the north side of my shed. As far as all the 4.6-star reviews go, bear in mind that the lion's share of these reviewers are non-professionals (like me) using their very first pressure washer and are very happy with the work it's doing. No, it won't compare with a Dewalt 3500 psi gas washer, but it also doesn't cost $400.
This is a great video.thank you!
thanks man
we appreciate your time 👍
I read an article earlier this year about paid positive reviewers on Amazon. They have absolutely no shame. It's become a very nice income earner for many.
I wrote a negative review about plastic spray bottles a purchased to use for this whole pandemic virus thing. Amazon rejected my negative 1 star review. I was honest in saying the bottles clogged and stopped working. Furthermore, the bottles were repacked dollar store bottles, not made for bleach. The item had thousands of positive reviews. I'm pissed off about it, and highly disappointed with Amazon.
Last year I bought mower blades through Amazon. The blades received were different than the ones that I ordered. They rejected my review 4 times until I cut back the negativity about getting cheaper than the ones that I paid for.
What do you recommend my dude, what are your go-to brands?
My go-to recommendation is buy local. I buy Greenworks, Dewalt, Ryobi and I know if it breaks, I have a store to return it to and the people there understand english and some are even nice. :)
@@WorkshopAddict Just keep in mind that both Greenworks and Ryobi and made in China crap. Dewalt and Craftsman are made in USA, AND sourced.
@@digitalconsciousness They are, and note I said buy local because if and when things go wrong. I can't find one of these made in the USA.
I bought A black max 3100 pressure washer 2.5gpm. So what is my real pressure? If I return it what can I got for less than 300.
Justin Got Scammed
That's what he gets for not feeding the horses.
My gas powered pressure washer finally kicked the bucket two weeks ago...lasted me more than 10 years. I don't have huge needs from a pressure washer like most people. I need it to clean concrete patios, siding, deck and vehicles. I knew all the Amazon electric pressure washers lie on their ratings. I didn't care as long as it was light weight, easy to use and didn't cost too much. I got that Mr Liance unit on sale for $129. Does the job and has held up fine so far through 6 uses at an average of about 2 hours usage per session. As long as you know you're not getting anywhere close to what they advertise, they can do 95% of the jobs you need them to do.
Great video. I have been looking for a good electric pressure washer that is the real deal. And I know there are so many faults claims with these and paid for five star reviews. It’s pathetic that people will give a five star review for a piece of junk just for a small reward. You would think these people would want to read honest reviews themselves. I first go to the 2, 3 and 4 star reviews because they’re not getting any money for it. But anyway I am looking for the best electric pressure washer or at least one good enough to clean my concrete. Do you have a video for that?
u need a bigger output hose, maybe thatll make the difference since that basic standard skinny hose that the machine came with can only push out soo much water
So you are saying that I should buy a bigger hose that goes from the machine to the wand so the machines perform better?
@@WorkshopAddict and a bigger wand LOL, use a pro grade hose and wand that these gas powered washers use to shed out that much psi and gpm and see wut happens, does that make a difference?
Can you tell us which electric powered washer you would recommend?
Get one from a local store so it can be returned if it fails within warranty. I like Greenworks but Ryobi also has a nice one out.
Just don’t get a Chinese made one. I also avoid Amazon. Use Home Depot, Lowe’s, or your local hardware/lawn and garden store.

I got a Mrliance portable cordless battery powered pressure washer from Amazon. It also had ridiculous specs. But it works okay, and saves me a lot of water compared to just using a garden hose. Just after a year of occasional use, one of the two batteries it came with has failed. I'd like to find a replacement 40v battery but I have had no success with Amazon and have not been able to contact Mrliance. I've also found an identical unit (but different color) from RockPals, also on Amazon. So it looks like this is another 'made in China' unit. Do you have a suggestion where to find a replacement battery? Are any of these companies contactable somehow? So far, I've had no luck.
Can you please review the Powerhouse International Platinum Electric Pressure ?
Haven't found a great review on UA-cam.
Being electric under 300 on Amazon and claiming a 3000 PSI @ 2.2 GPM.

Thanks so much for doing this video it really opened my eyes to the scam that is going on. I thinks I'll just stick with my old gas Craftsman pressure washer.
Thanks for the video. I’m a new townhome owner and I’m looking to purchase a quality but not to expensive pressure washer with soap tank that can get those high up siding locations and wooden deck cleaning. Any suggestions? I’d ideally like to keep it under $300.
Gas is the only way you will clean out the peaks. Maybe a 2800 psi ryobi from home depot.
I own a Sunjoe 1.76 gpm 2030 psi, it's slow going but it will do that easily,. I was able to clean my driveway reasonably well and the vinyl siding on my home with it and it's only about 200 US. Another option would be to just rent a machine if you don't plan on using yours that often.
Would you do a review for the sun Joe electric pressure washer please!
Sun Joe also makes false claims on PSI so I try not to review that stuff.
Don't buy a Sun Joe anyway....total crap! I purchased the 2030 in 2017; used it 3 times....took care of it...and the motor housing started leaking like a sieve anyway; they're all Chinese junk....so go buy something cheaper and keep your fingers crossed...or just rent one...hope this helped you out.
Thanks for the video. It saved me so much time.
Thank you very much for this information
Great video... btw has anyone ever told you you look like the boxer Tommy Morrison?
What would you recommend if I wanted to start power washing houses for money I’m 17
You need a minimum of 4,000 psi 4.0 GPM and you need to know how to use it. Gas is your only option.
Nice. Thanks for your work
What's your opinion of the SUNJOE SPX 3000? I fully understand all the PSI BS. So many you tube reviews have it coming in in the top 5 or 10. I need it only for my stone patio, sidewalk, awning & grill. Unless you've got a better one in that price range?
I would go with the new Dewalt 2400 over the Sun Joe.
Maybe we should sue these people who are false advertising
Excellent review. Thanks for posting.
Good video. I have a Ryobi and I’m happy.
Many years ago someone showed up at work touting his expensive brand of socks. All of a sudden one of the employees started laughing uncontrollably. The employee laughing said hey buddy there's a good chance I made those socks. He just got laid off at a textile plant. He said he made cheap store socks and high profile name brand socks on the same machine. The only difference being some brand embroidery or colors. He said your socks are no better than my Wal-Mart socks.
Okay.... What washer to get then?
