Said it before, I'll say it again: The show would not have been near as good without Fenneman.

George Fenneman was the ultimate class act in show business and in his off stage life !

I am surprised this wasn't hosted by Dick Clark and Ed McMahon, though. They used to do a ton of stuff like this kind of show in the '80s. (Not that I'm complaining -- I love Carl.)

I love the old horror movie The Thing From Another World with George Fenneman and Douglas Spencer. This is my first time seeing George Fenneman as an older gentleman. I guess that I always pictured him the way he always looked on You Bet Your Life. That's how I always think of president Kennedy as a young man. Folks, visit your DeSoto Plymouth Dealer tomorrow, and when you do, tell them that Groucho sent you. It's delovley it's delightful it's DeSoto. Wish I had a DeSoto. I have a sticker on the rear window of my old 72 Malibu that says, DeSoto Land. Reason, if there is a heaven, it would be a DeSoto on every block. My old man bought the old 72 Chevelle on 8/12/72, and he passed partially from injuries in the Korean Conflict. She no DeSoto, and nerdish in the eyes of people in 2021, but that's ok. No computers no catalytic converter, no air conditioning, crank manual windows. Some poke fun as I kept old man's deflectashield on the hood. It's nothing but a joke to the new generation, but that's probably just progress.

George Fenneman was a big part of the success of that show. The motivation to watch was to see how George would act. He was always so skiddish of Groucho who was bigger than life for him I imagine.

BOTH legends (or all three actually). Carl Reiner was just as much of a legend as just about anybody in this business - RIP (until the next adventure, when you come back :-)
