  • These are my settings. As I say in the vid the pids could do with a bit more tuning but it is mostly stable now. The best thing you can do for this quad is to flash the ESCs to BLHeli to get active breaking, otherwise you can't tune out the bounce back.
This video shows how you flash the ESCs (it says it is for the Falcon 210 but the same Fairy 30A ESCs are on the 250).

The above video makes use of a usb stick which I had trouble sourcing, so instead I used an Arduino UNO as per the guide in the following video which was made for the Racer 250 but works for the Falcon.

If you also have an Arduino then follow the second video to setup the blheli tool and connect three wires to the same pins on the UNO as in that video. The pads were too small for me to solder so I just taped together and held them on the solder pads like in the first video. When it comes to the flashing follow the first video to select the Fairy 30A ESCs. Note that the solder pads are reversed between the ESCs on the Racer 250 compared to the Falcon, i.e. ground on the Racer is on the motor side, but board side on the Falcon (brown wire = ground, red = c2ck, yellow = c2d). Between ground and the two signal pads is the unused pad.

How did you change the flight controler? Or more exakly how did you wire the sp3 fc from the "built in" pdb?

Thanks I went over your settings I will try those soon.
Again I thank for this video because i just figured out why the FC is not seeing my custom barometer because i don't have the i2c UART enabled. I'm trying to add altitude hold for fun. Another thing I flashed bl heli to all my escs' and still had problems with calibrating so i ended up calibrating them manually and now they run perfect i think.
How did you calibrate yours ?.

I was able to calibrate mine by following the standard method of raising the throttle to max on the slider, plugging in the battery waiting for the end of the tune, and then dropping the throttle slider to zero. I did have to plug the OSD into UART 2 though or you can't control the motors while the usb is connected for CleanFlight.

Stabilized flight is already set? thankss

Out of the box, no. For stabilized flight you have to set a range on your flight mode switch for Angle mode on the Modes tab in CF, reduce the Strength of angle mode from 10.0 to 2.5 (25 in the new cleanflight 1:52), and remove the angled mounts from the motors. Without doing this last step the motors are always angled forwards 10 degrees when the FC is level so it will drift forwards. Setting a roll offset of 10 degrees didn't really solve it for me, it made it unstable when taking off. I've now taken the angled mounts off mine and stabilized mode works although I've kind of gotten used to just taking off and landing in Acro now anyway. :)

I have to set the value to 2.5 angle mode? instead of 10 (default)? and then set in the modes horizon?

      Yes that should work

It copies all the parameters that you have entered the right video?
      Thanks a lot man
