I can do some amazing flying in the Velocidrone simulator that I have as yet been unable to replicate on the field with a Eachine Falcon. Maybe with the Alien RR5 I will?!

My highlights from the 2016 UK Drone Show at the N.E.C. Including displays by Parrot, Tiny Whoop, DJI, and top racers such as the UKs Tom Smith flying around a difficult indoor course. The latest (as of November 2016) RC firmware version 1.8 makes the P4 unusable. Live feed completely broken. DJI are directing people with this issue to send their drones back, but all you need to do is to flash back to the 1.6 firmware and complain in the DJI forums about DJIs lack of urgency to fix this problem.

UPDATE: Actually it is far from being fixed, after getting into the field the live feed was still broken. See my new video: ua-cam.com/video/HHUp7TUh-0I/v-deo.html My P4 feed was unusable in the App after flashing the RC firmware to 1.8, but was clear via the HDMI. Installing the 1.2.602 aircraft firmware 2 weeks later still didn't resolve the issue, the app was on the latest (at the time) 3.0....

These are my settings. As I say in the vid the pids could do with a bit more tuning but it is mostly stable now. The best thing you can do for this quad is to flash the ESCs to BLHeli to get active breaking, otherwise you can't tune out the bounce back. This video shows how you flash the ESCs (it says it is for the Falcon 210 but the same Fairy 30A ESCs are on the 250). ua-cam.com/video/HK0yRRP...

Setting a record time with the eachine on our FPV racing course. Ralf went past a few times but always crashed into a tree before completing a full lap ;) . 30.8 seconds is a pretty unbeatable time.
