Amrish Puri was and is my favourite actor of all time. I remember, when I was a kid of about 8 years, I had gone to attend a wedding at Hotel Sun n Sand in Bombay. That was the time when Mr. India was released and was a craze specially among kids. I was waiting along with my mom for my car to arrive, there I saw Amrish Puri sir who was also waiting for his car to arrive, standing few metres away from me. I just went next to him and uttered the dialogue "Mogambo Khush Hua" he looked at me and smiled and blessed me. Have always cherished that moment. Thank you Tabassum ji for sharing the unknown facets of Amrishji's life.

Amish Puri, to me, was the epitome of character acting. Even a clone of his would be nowhere near to what he was. Because, the soul of Amrish Puri can't be reproduced. He deserves to be crowned as the all time best character actor.

I am his fan since I watched punjabi movie "chann Pardesi". He had a very impressive personality with a manly voice. I think after Pran he was the most impressive villain in Bollywood and like Pran he also excelled in character roles in later part of his career.

If I'm not mistaken, I remember that amrish puri ji did his first Bollywood film at the age of 52. And what a journey...he inspired all those so called senior citizens including those too who were right there to be senior citizen. And best example of his inspiration is legendary boman irani sir. Amrishji was really a great versatile actor. He has played different roles as villain, comedy, social. His role in Muskurahat was extremely unbelievable. His role in Pardes, Gardish, Virasat and China gate are really memorable.

Fortunately saw his last performance at Pruthvi theatre ..The play was 'Bas itta sa' his biography directed by Satyadev Dube ji..He took his last breath at PD Hinduna hospital..
