  • Construction had just started a few months earlier. Crews had framed the bridge about halfway across and poured some moorings.

That flood was planned .After it cleared the entire riverbottom in Tempe was nice and level with a topcoat of riverrocks.

I wonder if Tempe had to pay for the debris it left up river?

I bet the contractor did. Even more trouble, the south bank of the Salt River Indian landfill in Mesa was breached, trash flowed from that too. I remember hearing about the cleanup effort, costly, all the way out past Avondale.

This is ridiculous, the bridge was not affected, it's scaffolding that collapsed.

OMG we here in AZ build CRUMMY infrastructure. I mean the Mill Ave Bridge colapsing in this video. The overpass at loops 101 and the loop 202 colapsing while being built a few years back. I17 at Greenway a constant flood problem every single time it rains that goes for the I17 below south of I 10 I'm the city. Now the US 60 closed for a water main break. 1/3 of a million people live in Maricopa with no fly over at SR 347 Queen Creek Rd exit 164 off the I 10. I mean what construction and consulting firms build these roads Assholes are Us AZ division. You people laugh and mock States of New York, California, and other blue states where shitty road construction doesn't exist. You should take a lesson on how to do it right the 1st time and not keep going to the feds for money to pay for it. The cities of Scottsdale & Paradise Valley are so rich they could pay for it all out of their city tax collections the Unbelievably SUPER RICH 🤑 live there.

This is a clown take. You do know that this was due to a mega flood in the Salt River that washed away the support structure while it was under construction. It wasn't a built bridge that got washed away.

@@randyburros6305 They were building a *new* Mill Avenue Bridge, and that's what collapsed in this video. I watched it from the old bridge.
