Sending love to Houston from Dallas. Y’all stay safe.
Shut up meg
This is a result of continuous building (residential, commercial, etc). Not enough nature in the surrounding areas, nothing but concrete.
I really like how the civil engineers decided to use the freeways as drainage canals.
@@mypronounismaster4450 amazingly effective
Right!!
I agree with you 100 % greed can be a mf
Be safe all in Houston, our 💞💕s go out to you. Be safe, be blessed. From Cali to you.
Delois Lee thanks
Delois Lee ☺️☺️
I wish we could share some of this rain with CA
Bruh it gets worse every year fam 🤦🏿♂️
I live here your tight
Oh my God, I would NOT want to live there!!!!!!! I don't SWIM, but I'm praying for Houston!!
That's why you always need a monster truck at Houston
For real
Metdav070 E92 and a Boat!!!
I think if I knew that conditions were so bad in the city I would not drive in it. I used to live there - flooding is no joke.
I live in the greater Houston area and it's just a terrible mess! 😞Please pray for us.
Texasgrrl 🙏🏾
Texasgrrl what side of H-Town
Cris Hernandez Ft Bend County. Sugarland area. Luckily we didn't get it as bad as the east side.
Praying will not help.
Nice area, yes east side got it bad
Keep digging the City with the excuse of building roads all at the same time ! and expending millions of dollars and these are the terrible consequences!! Bad people in the hall !!
Houston we have a problem!
A cars salesman dream to see all those cars underwater
I am over the road truck driver I was leaving Houston the day of all this rain flooded the city I saw so many cars and semi stuck in flood water I was very iwent up us 59 which has just as much flooding as interstate few time I had to ride the upper left shoulder cause the highway was under water I was able to keep moving get out of couple time I stop cause I thought I was not going be able to go any further but I finally was able to get out and drive to safe area and continue my trip I never seen it rain so hard in my life as did in Houston I pu a load in Baytown and was going go back to I-10 but heard on radio it was closed so went back to 225 which was slow going it was hard to see all them people stranded and not be able to help but I had to keep going or I would been one of them
Its sad all these people were forced to stay at work/go to work and now look. Peoples safety should come first.
This is what happens when moisture from the Gulf of Mexico brews up a storm and then stalls over the Houston Metro area.
I was planning on moving to Houston, but nevermind
@droid4D not every year, we had droughts for a while ( like 3 or 4 years)
@Pa ca Texas is hot hell. Not just Houston
Texass is one big fake shit hole!! Texass is a place that makes you glad you live somewhere else!!
i moved here from baltimore, ellicott city flooded badly too im originally from nyc and have lived in buffalo for many years. this city is craziest weather ive ever seen
@Pa ca
You're from the Bay area? And you're complaining about the homeless in Houston?? You must have not ever been to San Francisco. And you probably live in the ghetto of Houston.
If this is nothing new why haven't then made turn arounds so cars can cross through the middle of both lanes and go back.
Santos Lara Have you thought about asking the city planner that question? They may think it's a great idea!
Dang ppl in the back need to back up. How they going to use the restroom? Can't sit there all day. Why are the locals even on the road?
nj funfriendly they always on the road
This is bad, no place to go, and just wait.
It’s so funny to see how people will get on the road like controlled zombies. This happens all the time lol
It happens every year people and yet still dumbass's go out there and get stuck SMH
May god be with you all in Texas 🙏🏻
Looks like they will have to pick up some people by boat. Why do they get out on the roads if they are aware of flooding? Strange.
Imagine having a quarter tank of gas sweating it out in traffic that's not moving
How much for a gondola ride down the hiway?
Chile I live in Houston and I am oblivious to all this flooding and it rained hard in my area but no flooding this bad...Dang
I for some reason just now seeing this and so crazy so much flooding happened every year.
Imelda sure hit Southeast Texas with a wallop!!!
I live in Houston. We get used to it. Not a big deal plus you got to work from home or off work depends on company
Your home has never flooded
Mark Taylor predicted this flood two weeks ago. Also It's a notice from God to start prayer. I'm in pa and praying they don't get us if it's weather control related. Lbj remember him? He said, "" whoever controls the weather, controls the world".
Another 500 year flood
lol They happen every 10 years...
No this is a century flood bad floods like this can sometimes happend every 100 years or so..
*(I think)*
This is wild! Sea level rise is real from all the glaciers melting!
When you get 30 inches of rain in 2 days this is what happens. It was worse in the Beaumont area as the received around 40 inches of rain.
i was in that traffic when he said this is the one we first flew over
Just think, this was a tropical storm that took less than a day to reach Houston. Just a tropical storm and this is how bad the flooding got. Houston is going to dissappear cause of flooding without a doubt.
It wasn't just any tropical storm. It rained 30 plus inches in some areas. Pretty much the same thing as Hurricane Harvey. This was just some rain. It just sat over us and kept dumping rain.
I got flooded today and had to walk for miles my ass is chaffing
I'm from western NY. What was the NYDOT thinking! They should have built the thruway right down the Erie Canal. Bring back the Amphicar!
It’s Either a Crime Wave or Flooding that Keeps Property Prices Low .
Why did so many people leave that morning when they knew it was going to be that bad I heard??? stories of people running police barricades and I also heard the children were sent school that morning I don't get it
Steve Brown
Nobody was warned. Nobody knew it was going to be bad.
All the schools were running, all the turnarounds were running, all the local news sources including the mayor told the city on Wednesday that it was all okay.
Two hypotheses:
1: Saudi Arabia has been disrupted by a rocket attack but the market remained remarkably calm. Wall Street Journal noted that the market was treating the 50% loss in oil production as a natural event, like bad weather in the gulf. Now with that in mind, there is motive to roll the dice on Houstonians and keep everyone working because the spice must flow.
2: Climate change or global warming or atmosphere transgender or whatever has so disrupted weather patterns that meteorological techniques and science must be revised. They simply couldn't predict.
R Maldo transgender 😂
The Enemy Wants You To Continue With Your Life Like Nothing Is Happening, Like In The Days Of Noah They Were Eating And Drinking, Marrying And Giving Out In Marriage Untill The Flood Came And Took Them All Away. Do Not Be Deceived Wake Up ! God Wants Our Attention That Is Why All These Signs
I hate to say this because Houston is my Hometown but is a good place to be from.😣
Damn i just drove thru this yesterday!!!!
Hi Houston
American’s ! Doing what they can to keep things moving. God’s speed neighbors.
Highways should always be built overpass. Water drainage is difficult with traffic also. Looks like surfing roller coasters that's ok they need a wash.
why Huston on the rain is always floded?
It flooded out in Beaumont pretty bad too. It’s mostly fields out there
This is the way it was in the past and now it will be our future. Its why we don't have rocks in our GUMBO SOIL, we were at the bottom of the ocean. Future road construction should include drainage elevations to a central pump station to take water away, be it the Gulf or out to New Mexico. This water is a resource use it as such.
I bet the mosquitoes were happy that night
Baytown was bad. I'm just hoping I don't lose my job. ☹️ Some companies just don't care.
im in Port neches i was suppost to have a football game in baytown but the storm made it get cancelled and some people here are getting flooded
hopefully it passes
@@redchair1851 I hope is gets better.
Lots of companies don't care. I hope you get through this okay.
Tammy James girl if they try to fire you, you better sue them. I know TX is an at will state but people have won lawsuits for much less. And don’t warn them either. Just pop up with a lawsuit. You literally can’t get to work. The law even covers your travels to work. A woman in Dallas died on her way to work during severe weather and her family was granted one million dollars. And I think she was a janitor if I’m not mistaken. Fuck that job, there’s only one you!
oh my gosh this is to much we need rain over here in my state WEST VERGENIA to hot and super duper dry be safe texas scary
Im in southeastern Ohio. First it wont stop raining. Then you dont get any rain. Strange weather. Maybe it will rain soon. Not good for crops.
Anywhere that doesnt get flooded? Moving to Houston soon
STAR BUILDING EMERGENCY BRIDGES HIGHER UP ABOVE THOSE NO GOOD ROADS EASILY FLOODED BY WATERS
Home values are going to plummet. This is awful. If “this nothing new”, I hope those who can afford to move will decide to do so; especially the elderly :(
Most high watching your people who stole our ancestors land your going to pay for that's dearly I feel nothing.
I am wondering why so many of you chose to go out when you all been seeing we flood so easily?? Why so many were driving in this??
Same roads seem to flood over and over yet no one blocks the roads to prevent this crap..
Thank you no Houston dallas it is!!!!
Oh my gosh!
Never drive in even shallow water... unless you can afford to get a new one. Water will destroy transmission and engines.
lets use the existing drainage canals for Rte 45..WTH..sounds good..saves on asphalt costs..
What about flooding?
Hmm..lets let the Insurance Companies worry about that..
I live in Houston but i live in from from down down houston so im find lol
This is time for Americans to change from wickedness
This is the reason why we ride horses in Texas lol....
We have never learned about the things that nature provides! Too much development of our cities turns them into concrete jungles. We have no natural drainage anymore! No place for water to go! Boy, don’t you just love progress?
Why are people on the roads when they are flooded? Dont people watch the news?
No 😂
@droid4D schools were open dumb ass this was a tropical depression nobody thought it would do this much this cast
I ain’t Neva moving back
Eu tenho uma grande ideia, construir um piscinão subterrâneo nessa localidade irá acaba com esse problema de alargamento.
THIS IS WHY YOU DONT TAKE 45!
City to lit to be flooding 🤦🏾♂️at least it ain’t Harvey
Jacktown Dee some people said it was close to being Harvey 2.0
DepressionTV it wasnt that bad bro
Depends which part of Houston you lived in.
Some parts were just as bad or worse than Harvey
We should turn back to our Creator. Stop all these nonsense murders right in our own land, our own people. Under the guise of care. Cain world.
👽👽👽
Houston we have a problem.
Where's GPS???
Repent America
Seek the Lord Jesus Christ ❤️
Good footage up until the quick zooming and fast camera movements that made me nauseas 🤢
Where the hell us Fema did trump close ut down like he did the Paris Accord these poor people.
Stop pollution.
Soo...what idiot thought it was a good idea to build a main freeway below grade? Absolutely no drainage other than the freeway itself. Genius...
Plasma universe
this is ALL by design .... concrete and tar rivers /catchments ... so WHY THE BULLSHIT
my god is disaster climate change
I have seen it worse.
A lot worse. 58"in 24 hours. Allison
It looks like it'd be the most natural way the water would go
I don't get why in certain areas ppl are nit reversing. Very few. Plus why dont officials close the entryways on the expressways to prevent ppl from getting on and having to sit there. Also take the last few cars at a time and have them reverse, direct and take a detour. People are slow and cant work together to rectify simple situations and want to wait for someone to tell them what to do.
Not only were there not enough officials to handle this, look at the traffic they'd have to try to get through, impossible.
