I keep getting told I look like young robert smith. It's eneviable, eventually you to will slowly shift and morph into yet another robert smith. You ever wonder how he always sounds so young at shows, it's because the clones donate their vocal cords once they become a perfect genetic replica. This all began many moons ago in early 1980 when a devious goth witch was meddling with dark magic and decided to cast a powerful spell that would make all cure fans eventually look like Robert Smith. The evil spooooky magic making people look like robert smith rubbed off on him leading to his style becoming significantly more goth over the following couple of years. Then everyone lived happily ever after. I hope you enjoyed my story, I have been awake for 24 hours and am absolutely losing it.
67 years old now....just fell in LOVE w/ the Cure 3 years ago & now they're my FAV band....on my Pandorah i started a channel of the CURE, plays the Cure & bands like the Cure.....i play it every day...

I was only around 7 or 8 when it woild be all my folks played for me and my brother. Never knew Noel was a fan of The Cure though.
My parents listened to Boomer classic rock, which is sometimes good. I discovered all the 80s goth, new wave, and shoegaze stuff on my own. I was the only guy in town listening to it, and it felt like MY music. Nowadays with the internet, I think these bands are somewhat well known in America compared to 10-15 years ago.

Went to see the cure last november at wembley arena and Noel, you are wrong. Whatever cure fans used to look like, most don't anymore. The queue was one of the strangest I have ever been in with mainly 50-70 year olds in hats scarves and anoraks, hardly a blackened eye in the house. Great night, great show, great band
I agree with the cure and new order but i have never been able to enjoy the smiths but i I also agree that despite my dislike of the smiths he makes sense that the 80s were the peak of music by groups

He was wearing a hockey jersey and I was wearing my bright orange shirt and everyone else was a cosplay goth for a day. I saw people from high school who were very mainstream but gothed themselves up for that night.
All the middle class kids in my year at school were into The Cure, and all the ones in the year above, (Noel’s age) were into The Smiths. I loathed them both, (although I like the former now) we working class kids were into Madness, The Specials etc, and the girls Duran Duran and Wham! 😃
Inxs and u2 might as well be one band. Inxs were slightly less pretentious. I saw u2 when they were starting out supporting the beat. All the" bloody sunday and not a politcal song" crap. Im glad to say we threw cans at the stage.
The cure were the bomb in their peak years. To think that Morrissey and Robert were sniping at each other like lil bitches at one point is so immature. Both jealous of one another I guess without admitting it publicly.
