FILM DESCRIPTION:
Charged with killing a client, call girl Claudia Draper (Barbra Streisand) is awaiting her trial. While Claudia's parents seek to have her declared insane so that she can avoid a likely guilty verdict and serve time for manslaughter, she rejects this approach because she doesn't want to be put in a mental institution. Lawyer Aaron Levinsky (Richard Dreyfuss) reluctantly takes on Claudia's case and tries to prove that she's not crazy, but the volatile prostitute doesn't make his task easy.

Her best performance. No contest. Streisand has sensual mannerisms and a voice that’s crystal perfection. Many singers are also great at talking dirty. And who better to prove this then the greatest singer of all time 🔥🔥
Babs is no model, but still nice to look at. She can turn herself into a bombshell just with her acting and her heavenly voice. And she can switch to a completely different mood in a split second. Incredible talent!!!

@@barbraevergreen yes she's a once-in--generation performer. She acts comedy, acts drama, has an amazing voice, writes music (Evergreen), directs, produces, obviously intelligent. Is there anything she can't do?
And she's beautiful. When I was a kid, some friends of my parents saw Funny Girl or What's Up Doc, and the woman said "She's ugly really, but she's so good you don't notice" I can't explain why this has stuck in my head for 45 years but I can't see ugly. I see an amazing beautiful woman whom I admire enormously. (ok, I admit it, I'm a fan...)

@@bringbackdeano I’m a huge Streisand fan as well. Being born in the mid 80s, I missed the first part of the Streisand era. I found out about her in 1998 and I recall my mother and aunt saying that, of course, she was incredibly talented, and also that “she would be beautiful if she didn’t have that nose”. I was shocked! I just can’t see her as anything else than gorgeous. So gorgeous! And still, after all these years, not only do I admire her, but she remains my #1 crush!

That's immoral. Prostitution is a sin. This film is sad especially since it is based on the reality of how humans degrade and abuse each other. God created us to live pure lives, full of honor and love- not lust, selfishness, and cruelty. We live a corrupt life of wickedness without God/Jesus.
