kenton ,before you go counting the Noles out from being one of the top three as being in contention for a playoff spot because of a bad season, you might want to take a look at the similarities in both, the 2023 ACC Championship team and the 2025 team. Mike Norvell has been quietly replicating that team without anyone realizing it, and using it as the blue print by having a Jordan Travis/ Thomas Castellanos type QB , Jahem Bell/ Randy Pittman hybrid TE, Kyle Morloc/ chase loftin traditional TE type, TE Markeston Douglas is back from Arizona State who was on that ACC Championship team, a Johnny Wilson/ Duce Robinson WR type, he got a taller version of keon Coleman, in 6'6 Jordan Scott a contested catch WR type, big body hykeem William/ Elijah Moore type WR, Ja'khi Douglas now his brother Jaylin Lucas at slot type. I can go on and on but the point is that Mike Norvell is going back to what he knows works. Remember when the committee and the Fanatics said FSU QB room sucked, and Jordan Travis was not a good passer of the ball and was only good when using his feet, but some how managed to go 13-0 regular season and a Championship later. Isn't it funny how the exact same thing is being said about Thomas Castellanos and his playing style, not a good passer but great when using his mobility smh, please make up your minds, it either works or it doesn't 🤦🏾. I don't think it's farfetched FSU making a run at another ACC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Thanks man. I needed a good laugh. I love the associative properties of equating 2023 to 2025. Wouldn't 2025 be more similar to 2024 than 2023? You have no trenches. I see Mike brought in 4 OL from the portal, but they are bandages on a systemic problem and who knows how good they actually are? Even if those guys are the starters, what's the depth behind them? Your skill positions are largely unproven like 2024 when all the FSU podcasters said your team was elite. You even had the media tricked ranking FSU 10th week 1, then 2-10. Only FBS win was Cal. A game FSU should have lost if Cal had a decent FG kicker. So, 1-10 against FBS opponents is going to go 12-0 in 2025? There are more holes in your roster than a block of Swiss cheese. Your own podcasters think FSU may be bowl eligible this year. That's the ceiling. I can appreciate your hope. Every school is undefeated right now.
Not So Fast My Friend, i didn't stutter one bit when I compared the 2023 squad to this 2025 roster, so I guess u had to laugh at yourself. I see you know nothing about Florida State football at all 🤦🏾 so let me explain it to you carefully. The only 4 offensive lineman transfers you said you saw Mike bring in, is actually 5 bro you need glass. The 5 newest transfers plus, last years proven transfer Ol Richie Leonard from the Florida Gators, and proven transfer Ol Jacob Rizy Harvard are not a bunch of backups from other programs, because all of them were starters at there previous programs, so we do know how good they actually are or could be. Mike Norvell is hell-bent on developing last years Alabama Ol transfer TJ Ferguson under this new offensive coaching staff. Did you even notice this new O-line is beginning to take shape similar to the 2023 O-line which had several players from different schools who transferred in, such as Jeremiah Byers, Casey Roddick, Keonda Jones, D'Mitri Emmanuel, and Bless Harris who were all transfers and Crowd ACC 🏆 Champions. Hear is the offensive depth you claim Mike doesn't have. Jaylen Early saw playing time, 6'5 Andre Otto saw playing time, Bryson Estes playing time, 6'8 Lucas Simmons saw playing time and with better coaching and technique 6'8 Jayden Todd and 6'5 itete should hopefully get up to speed and we should have one hell of a two deep offensively@shawnandrews329
Jim Phillips in part of the problem. I could tell 8 years ago that teams were going to switch conferences. The ACC sat there scratching their ass while the SEC ans BIG10 were proactive. The teams we could have brought in should have been Oregon, Texas, and Washington. Immediately after letting them in, give them full voting rights. Then the 3 new schools plus 5 current schools could have voted to dissolve the conference just to kill the Grant of Rights deal. Them reform as a new conference. Force ESPN's hand. Think about it . UNC, Texas, Washington, SMU, Oregon, Notre Dame, Virginia all have money. Plus Clemson and FSU want out.
That is the craziest idea for the championship game I've ever heard. The game would have no integrity. If the regular season champion didn't play in the championship game. Now I question his leadership.
Phillips was stating this 1 doesnt play, 2v3 and 1v4, 2v3 idea based on the model they discussed with other commissioners and that's the 3-3-2-2-1 model, which are auto-bids. The ACC would get 2 bids. His idea tries to ensure the best 2 teams from the ACC get in. If you actually think about it, it makes sense and is not as crazy as it seems on the surface. I think his misstep was saying 1 doesn't play in "championship game". I don't think it that case it would be a championship game and that's just wrong. But the meat of it based on what the model discussed, isn't crazy. Just trying to get the best teams in.
All I know is one of the most historic basketball program revivals ever , is happening now, a program that went 12-54 the last 2 seasons, revamped itself and Now is ranked #25, on an 8-game winning streak, 2nd in the ACC with the possibility of locking up a double bye , a potential ACC COY / National COY, & Chucky Hepburn and you guys want to talk about Miami tampering? What else is new, we all know Miami is greasy. Alabama accused UL of Tampering with Jacory Brooks, UL ignored them and it went away. Theres no authoritative arm to look into tampering cases, they can't be proved. Go Cards!!
Are we ever going to get the rest of the top 10 transfers instead of yall yappin on Carson Beck? He’s average. Miami will be a 3 loss or 4 loss team next year. You lost the reason you were even good. Cam Ward. Without cam yall would have gone 6-6 in my opinion. He saved Mario’s job
Kenton, a school's responsibility to enter a student athlete into the transfer portal at the student's request is not only a rule, it is a by-law of the NCAA and its member institutions. Wisconsin did NOT have recourse to withhold Lucas out of the portal for ANY reason. In fact, the NCAA should punish Wisconsin for their bylaw infraction.
Yeah but if i heard the interview correctly. NCAA said that it could not force Wisconsin to put his name in the portal. Im like hows that when its your rule.
@@wildsmoke72 That's correct, but the NCAA can punish Wisconsin for not following the NCAA bylaws for the transfer portal. I expect the NCAA to act against Wisconsin. Otherwise, they'll lose what little credibility they have left and other schools will try to strong arm their student athletes like Wisconsin did.
To all of you who are still upset about Florida States desire to leave the conference for a better opportunity, now you see why! Phillips is a terrible commissioner who didn't stand up for the Noles while everybody sat back and laughed,ha,ha,ha, but look at him now trying to clean it all up, but its a little to late for that! He knows if he doesn't do something extraordinary before the opt out decisions by ESPN, its over. This sounds more like a desperation ploy than a good idea. So go ahead and crown SMU and MIAMI as your new conference power house leaders because we don't care. Fsu doesn't get any respect from yall or this conference for all the rich history and championships that helped made this conference relevant anyway. Continue the climbe🧗🏾♂️ Go Noles
@shawnandrews329 You're lame fam if that's all you can harp about. How convenient it is for you to take shots at the same program that went 13-0 regular season, won a ACC CHAMPIONSHIP within less than two years ago, and did it with a team loaded with transfers, and the all mighty Miami Hurrishames and captain save us knights in Shiney armor SMU couldn't pull it off! Miami couldn't win it in 20 years of being in the conference and SMU couldn't do it in their first one, but once again leave it up to Clemson or Florida State to keep this BS conference relevant by winning the ACC or Natti for years. Facts ! Dude, you are the poster child for the lack of respect for FSUs' contribution to this conference. Thanks for proving my point. Enjoy the snow or go to bed. Go, Noles!

Bruce Warner reminds me of the studio exec Les Grossman from Tropic Thunder (played by Tom Cruise) 😂

Those cardinals in basketball are PUTTING BELT TO ASSES

+4000 odds to win the Natty....so your saying theres a chance...

What is Jim Phillips’ buyout? I’m sure the ACC’s member institutions can cover it to finally get someone COMPETENT for the job.
If they want to be innovative, have a conference playoffs between the top 4 teams in the conference.
Next year there will only be 1 transfer portal window
The acc is already a laughing stock and just when I thought we couldn’t make it any worse for ourselves this news breaks . It’s just a joke honestly
That’s ridiculous!! When you play 1 vs 2 you send the best ACC team to the playoffs
Hey Jim! Why not just let the last two ACC Champions opt out of the confrence entirely? Just set them free and drop thus silly lawsuit
Jim Philipps should be fired based solely on his stupidity.
If #1 has a better conference record and is not tied with #2, why have a Conference Championship?

2-10. 1-10 against Non FCS schools. I'd keep quiet if I were you.

Byu was superior to Smu. they proved it.
the lawyer mentioned that Lucas' father is ill.
