I just received my suit from Hockerty. It came a little later than expected but I'm actually really surprised by the way it fits. The material is a wool mix and it certainly doesn't feel like pure wool but I like the colour (green-blue). I spent ages taking my measurements, and did it over two days to see if there was much difference. I had two different housemates take the measurements too. I think double, tripple checking your measurements and knowing a bit about how this informs the cut helps get a good fitting suit.
I'm leaving this comment because too often you only hear the negative reviews, and my suit fits better than the one Ben Arthur seems to have got.
I think it looks like you are wearing a suit borrowed from a slightly heavier built 50 year old....
I agree Ian
I imagine its made loose so that it can be tailored rather than risking it being to small.
I wanted to try online mtm myself but thankfully i found an old tailor who made me a full canvas bespoke suit for around $350. There are very good options if you search enough.
I had a shirt done with Hockerty and was disappointed. I emailed them and they NEVER got back to me. Now I have shirt sitting collecting dust. Yes I could have gone to the tailor BUT they said they can cover 25% of the tailoring. Tailor Store is accurate in my opinion. ✌🏼
EscobarStyle wow what a shame
In my opinion absolutely not good enough to only cover 25% of tailoring costs. Price is not cheap and buying online carries exactly those risks. They need to ameliorate those risks by letting you send it back and them redo it or alter it for you. Then once they get it right you may well be a repeat customer.
Hi Jon, as I already explained in another comment. The 25% rule is not created to limit the tailoring costs, but to choose the best option. If something needs more than 25% of what you paid to tailor it, it means that maybe the best solution is to remake it, don't you think?
@@salvajovells2650 Thanks for replying. If you are offering to remake or correct a non or badly fitting garment free of charge that does indeed ameliorate the risk of buying online. Best of luck!
Go to Tailor Store, they're much more generous with the fitting, you're absolutely getting what you're paying for imo. I've tried a few MtM companies and they really stand out and are worth the somewhat higher price.
Please make a video about brands that are worth their money
I'd never buy a made to measure suit online! Somethings so just have to do instore and buying a nice fitted suit is one of them! IMO you are best getting a well fitted suit off the peg (sizes and fits vary so much between brands) and then getting it tailored afterwards at your local dry cleaners.
If any other UA-camr mentioned that it was sent free of charge, I would automatically click out, but I think by now we all know you're honest :)
Thanks Peter, I try my best to judge such products as accurately as possible (I make it clear to brands too)
Hi Peter, I work for Hockerty.com and I can confirm it was not a collaboration. I want to tell you too that we will not stop till we don't find the right fit for Ben, as for any other customers.
I have had great luck with Hockerty but like any MTM site you need to give them the right measurements. Using other people's measurements is a bad idea - use your own.
Looking sharp 👌
But I agree some tailoring wouldn't be the stupidest thing
Nice
The suit fits like any Marks & Spencers suit most middle aged men wear in the UK.
Definitely needs taking in!
Can you please check out dominate rok wax Thank You.
Nice video
Thanks Jack
So you have ordered a suit with generic measures, and did not get custom measures?
studiosuits review please
I love suits, coats and leather shoes but i work as chef so i can't wear suit.. that bums me out.. still thanks for videos, keep it up
🔥👍🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Not a good fit for you. I bought a jacket from Suit Supply and it fit awesome right out of the box
I just checked their catalogue and was very surprised their cheapest suits, around 300€, are half-canvassed (not glued like this one). I had been conditioned to expect only glued suit under 400€. At that point it's a no-brainer, assuming you can find one that fits well of course.
Honestly, don't understand how their business model works- since almost everyone can claim that their suits don't fit- unless they have a really high mark up in the first place.
Fitting is not that good
Can u review MCR tailor
I am considering buying a suit from them
Maybe they will send u a suit for free if u email them
Can you do a video on what to wear at a night club?
black shirt and dule troursers/chinos
@@lolly4961 but isn't that what every guy is going to wear? I want to stand out a little
Also depends where you are. American clubs and bars seem to be very different to UK, I’m nit really sure about other countries but if you’re in the UK then it Varys wildly what you’re allowed in with. In Liverpool for example a lot of places (not including the waterfront) let you in in Adidas Gazzells and Stone Island and stuff but in Manchester a lot of places will only let you in in shoes and no brand names. Most places seem to be ok with brands and say a pair of Vans or some sort of pump. London’s sickenly stricked and I remember once but it may have changed now there was a strip of pubs in Newcastle somewhere that wouldn’t let people with tattoos. So need to do your research as t9 where you’re going first and foremost.
@@me5969 I live in Belgrade, Serbia and most of the clubs here have no dressing rules (unless it's some evant like halloween or like goth night) so I have creative freedom, but most of the time I just opt for button up shirt, dark wash jeans, and some style sneaks.
Darkwash jeans, tan/brown suede chukkas, fitted shirt (black or white, tucked) with a nice sport or suit jacket. No harm in being the best dressed dude in the room! 😉
The only reviews out there are mostly sponsored. This brand seems shady to me.
Is mens wearhouse shit? I have a 50% off voucher on the purchase of a suit from them.
Hi Johnathon, unfortunately, it's not a brand I'm familiar with, so I wouldn't be able to give accurate advice on that. Hopefully someone else can help you out in the comments!
You should rather try something from a business like Yeossal.
Doesn't look good. You could do better at H&M with a tailor afterwards.
Good review. Terrible suit.. looks like it’s borrowed off your dad 😂 you’d definitely suit a slimmer fit
You need to lift. Youre too skinny. Get advise from alanroberts lol
If you think Ben is slim you should see me (and maybe can from my photo). Seriously you need to watch telling people they need to be a certain way. Many people will want to change their body out of low self esteem (that we all have at times). Changing ones body shape will often not resolve this though. Best thing is to go for optimum health (which may be a different body shape for different people)
Jon Stern watch videos of alanroberts to get the context of my comment
