This is where my Dad got his degree and now finally I feel God calling me to follow in his steps and go there. Please make an update video! Would love to here more about how it went :)
I’m starting at Moody this fall! I want a bachelors in Biblical studies. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with the degree yet, but I know I want the knowledge and experience. My classes are going to be entirely online because I’m not in Chicago :/ My grandma used to listen to the moody radio station, she was a huge fan. If she wasn’t demented, she would be so proud of me. Not only for going to college or moody specifically but my journey.. I was a drug addict, a thief, a constant liar, unreliable, I’m missing teeth but getting them fixed soon.. God has changed my life once I gave it to him. I’m married to a wonderful woman. I’m happy! I’m excited for what God has in store for me :,)
This video really motivated me! I'm a high school graduate from India hoping to be accepted for the Spring semester! I really hope it works out and that I get to come to Chicago because Moody is just amazing and it would be a dream to study and learn more about the Bible there :)
Shawn Weekly thanks Shawn! I really enjoyed my time as an online student, and I’m looking forward to this next chapter. Best of luck to you and your son with your studies!
Hey man! That was a very nice video! Right now I am in exactly the same position as you are: two weeks before move-in day, excited to see how things pan out. Looking forward to potentially meeting you and chatting!
That’s awesome! If you have any questions about Moody feel free to reach out! It’s a really special place, and if you end up coming I think you’ll be very glad that you did. Thanks!
After a lot of prayers, I decided to apply to Moody! Ministry has been in my heart for a while. I actually got accepted just last Friday which brought tears to my eyes. God is so good. I am struggling financially at the moment (due to coronavirus) and being a DACA student. But I know that if God opened the door, it was for a reason & He will provide. Now I know that I also have to take some initiative myself so I was wondering if you would be able to help me answer some questions about tuition?
Ruth Azevedo congratulations Ruth! That’s fantastic!! I’d be happy to answer your questions. The first point of clarification though is that if you’re a full time student at the Chicago campus, you don’t pay tuition, that’s covered by donors, you only pay room and board
@@GospelSimplicity oh wow I did not know that! I'm an onlime student. I'm guessing that means I won't receive donations? Also I'm a daca student (a dreamer) so I don't qualify for FASFA. Do you have any recommendations or maybe you could shoot me an email with all the info? I've been having a hard time getting in touch with advising
Ruth Azevedo I didn’t realize you were going to be online. I actually started Moody online while I was still working full time for a church so I have a little familiarity with it, but I’m not very familiar with the finances. The donations do not cover Moody Online unfortunately. Everything is probably a little crazy for advising right now with Coronavirus, but they’re still your best bet for getting the answers you need
@@GospelSimplicity yeah I watched your video about it. I should've mentioned that, my bad. But got you. Patience is a virtue. Thanks for your encouragement & help
Oh nice! I forget which videos I said certain things in so no worries at all. Patience certainly is a great virtue, and persistence doesn’t hurt either! Don’t be afraid to reach out to them multiple times
Grammar tv that’s awesome! So you would want to apply to Moody Theological Seminary which is the graduate school, and you would just do so online. I believe there’s even scholarships for international students!
Grammar tv ah yes, the COVID-19 situation does complicate things. You could either delay your application, or you could start as an online student. In any case, Moody should be making a decision about whether or not the campus will be open for the fall semester by June 7 (it’s currently closed).
Poor choice... as s Catholic, I have heard too many problems about learning the bible and biblical history at Moody’s with such an extreme narrowing focus. ... causes too many issues to bubble up.
Gospel Simplicity - I DO NOT want to distract you from your commitment in learning the Bible . You are very good at speaking into the camera. It’s a gift . Just be a good Christian apologist ... Prayers..

Thank you! That's awesome! I actually have a class with a Selah, though I'm not sure if it's the same one or not. It's a small world regardless!
