- Food For Thought is a restaurant in Williamsburg Virginia that we've passed by a hundred times and never seemed to make it in. BUT, every time we saw that Benjamin Franklin headshot on the blue and red glowing restaurant sign, It had us curious about what type of intelligent cookery was taking place inside this popular restaurant establishment found right down the road from historic Colonial Williamsburg.
On this visit, we changed all that and finally made a stop into this well-known eatery in Williamsburg Virginia to experience firsthand what all the fuss was about.
While I only made a simple selection, sure to supply comfort and found on the delicate pages of any grandmaw's homemade recipe book, Sarah selected her common favorite, yet cooked to perfection in a unique way, and for both of us...each more than fit the bill.
If you find yourself driving along Richmond Road in Williamsburg Virginia and are looking for a dining experience with interesting restaurant decor that displays the historic imagery of genius inventors, historians, political leaders, movie characters, scientists, and powerful visionaries, along with their thought-provoking, and motivational quotations...then this is your place.
A menu that mirrors a book with a pleasing palatable prologue, diverse and varying menu chapters, and delightful and delectable endnotes.

I have celiac disease and they have many gluten free options as well as gluten free rolls. The food is great.
I've eaten here a dozen times or more. Never had a bad meal! All dishes are great!

Okay so now it will be even harder to get in there!!!! A trip to CW is never complete without a stop by Food for Thought and we are there about four times a year. I am usually the meatloaf or the pot-roast and once in a while the poyboy. Will have to try the fish and chips finally. Thank you so much for the videos.

I'm going to be in Williamsburg in May and this place is a short walk from my hotel, so I'll be there.
We were in CW over the weekend to check out Christmas Town. After seeing this video I wanted to try it. Your Meatloaf look great but I went with Sara's fish and chips. I got mashed potatoes instead of slaw. It was delicious. Thanks for the great video.

It took me a while before I tried this place too. I enjoyed the decor in the restaurant, I think I had a burger. I would eat there again, pleasantly surprised.
