I loved your music for the getting work done part of your video! LOL made me want to go demo something!!! LOL got so much done today and its moving quite fast to me! You must be like your Dad! Praying for progress and safety for all of you! 🙏🏻❤
Between holding my breath while MaCenna went looking for an intruder and watching between my fingers while her dad walked around under an unsupported chimney and shook the entire ceiling, this vlog channel is the scariest horror movie I’ve ever seen.
With the chimney crushing down and your dad walking underneath it in some clips and him going up in the attic to shake it, I really had to turn of the paramedic part of my brain😂 Remember guys: don’t do anything you wouldn’t want to explain to a paramedic or the ER🤣
I admire that you are able to thrift things that work with what you previously thrifted! When I look back at my hauls, I sometimes ask myself ‘why did I buy that?’
at 3:47 the vase with the blue flower is Hull Pottery. my great great great grandfather is the one who founded it here in Crooksville OH. I just adore seeing the vases at antique stores 💛💛
You all should totally buy a pair of safety shoes and hat since this house and fox run is going to be renovated for a few months still! I urge you to buy some please 😂 ♥️
Isn't your dad the cutest? I really like your parents, its wonderful to watch you with your family. It's so nice you've bought land near to them and can spend so much time together! Very much enjoying watching you with this renovation/build project.
"I'll bet you a hamburger it will fall..." Cuteness just really runs through MaCenna's family doesn't it? From MaCenna herself, her parents, Kinsley, haha
Macenna, this vlog was awesome to watch. My dad unexpectedly passed away this February while hanging trim on a house he was building. He was a custom home builder and house flipper. Throughout the years dad and I worked together to renovate my townhouse and I've helped him at other houses along the way. All this to say, seeing you with your dad was really great because it brought back some of those wonderful memories for me. I will never forget the days we spent working on my house together, they are priceless memories for me and I am so grateful I have them to reflect back on. Cherish these moments working with your dad. They are memories you will have forever, so take your time and enjoy the journey. As always the cottage is coming along beautifully. ❤ You are so inspiring.
It's likely a knockoff. I have the same pitcher/vase I bought at a department store in cobalt blue. I doubt I paid more than $20 for it...25 years ago. Makes me feel old to see items I have in antique (or thrift) stores. I'm 64.
best study break ever = when macenna posts a new video on either channel. i am loving this house content so much!!!! i want to be able to do this someday too
Dad is a Boss! Don’t give him too hard of a time about the chimney. Check the floor joists after that entire mass of bricks fell intact onto the floor - oh wait - I bet dad has already thought of that.
Check out Wimberley Market Days first weekend of each month and they have a few thrift shops as well. Also, there are 3 or 4 thrift shops in Sattler near Canyon Lake.
Love. Thanks for all your lovely content. That glass, square vase you picked up is worth $$$. Very collectable. Look forward to seeing how you style all your finds in the house.
I love seeing how much you’re saving for later. I’m so used to someone buying a house and completely gutting it, even when everything inside was installed specifically for the sale. So wasteful. This type of reno you’re doing is what I hope to buy into soon
Man, you guys are so lucky that bone of you, and the house were not injured/damaged. The safe way to take out a chimney is from the top down, for a reason. My dad would have kicked this Texas girl's behind for even thinking about doing something like that. Just thankful that you are all safe.
Omg when that chimney fell I screamed and then started to laugh just like you. I'm happy it's down but I am more happier that your dad didn't get hurt. So I guess your dad was right since it it did fall, just not the way he thought it would fall. Lol. Great job everyone. Much love to you and your family. So happy your dad didn't get hurt when both chimneys came down. ❤ 😌
i agree with your thrift store strategy. My husband and I do days of thrifting in certain areas and hit all of the thrift stores and antique stores. It's so fun. You guys are so funny! Love your videos!
The one that was closed is one of my family's favorite thrift stores when we visit our family in New Braunfels and Canyon Lake. It is worth it when you can go🙂
New Braunfels is an expensive place for antiques. The Sts. Peter & Paul thrift, that was closed is only open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and not sure about Saturday. They are worth another trip. Senior citizens thrift is pretty good as well, it’s behind their center on Landa past Walnut.
Always look forward to seeing more demo on the house, you're that much closer to the finish line. I think of this renovation as a double marathon where by the time you finish your chin is resting on your chest and you can't pick it up. Great job!
This was a great one with all of your thrift store finds. It just amazed me that the antique mall had that mirror for $325 and the mirror wasn’t an original. As close as the tag and your hand was to it should have had the antique gap you see in an old mirror but it just didn’t have it. Plus, the mirror was too perfect for that age. I agree with you that chimney was content hanging up there and wasn’t going to fall!
For Apple users especially I’d suggest looking up thrift stores on Apple Maps and also check out google somehow they don’t always seem to have the same locations/stores
I think that you guys would LOVE Gruene, TX (pronounced green)! It’s in NB, but it’s their historic district and has such a cool vibe and great restaurants. If you go, you have to go to the Gristmill, I worked there for two years and their onion rings and sandwich’s are BOMB. :)
Wow! That was amazing & it looks like fun. But, I did hold my breath when your dad was hitting the last post, cause I was afraid he would fall against the window. Also while debris fell from the ceiling, cause, again, I was so afraid something would fly through the window. Protect your windows from flying debris during demolition. I excited for the continued progress. Great job.
Try the smaller towns around San Antonio for thrift, junk, antique stores. New Braunfels, Fredericksburg, Johnson City, Wimberley and even Blanco have become touristy, so more expensive. There is, or used to be a pretty decent antique store in DT New Braunfels. Keep looking in San Antonio (I live here) there are bargains to find. Good luck!

So I do feel like I am not forgetting anything. I also go through those list at least once a month, six months, and year and revise them as need be. Just a thought...

Hi that was so much fun to watch. I thought the chimney would go through to the crawl space! yikes.... fireplace requires special bricks, btw. Smart idea to take the AC ducts into the attic for now. That was a Blenko glass pitcher at the first store that you put back. Very collectible. 😱
