      Hi Otter,
I watched it on Saturdays as well! Here in Canada they ran it before Hockey Night in Canada for many years. So glad you enjoyed the model and the memories =D
      Take care.

What a show! I have seen a few Space:1999 Stun Gun builds on You Tube, but yours is by far the best! It is the most accurate looking of the bunch! I love your attention to detail like applying color to the inside of the "barrels" like can be seen in photos of the actual props from the show. I have not seen anyone else put that detail in their builds. I'm going to attempt a few builds myself using your videos as a guide. I would love to see you do another Stun Gun build and put sound effects in as well as the light effects. Btw, I was wondering if in the next build, you could use a color changing(yellow-blue) LED (assuming such an animal exists, lol) in the top barrel and blue LEDS in the other three barrels. If a builder did that, then the Stun Gun would light up just like on the show. Most of the time the laser beam was yellow and came out of only the top barrel. One time in the series it showed Commander Koenig fire his weapon and four blue beams came out (one from each barrel.) Just a thought. Anyway, thank you so much for doing not just this build, but all your fantastic builds. It has been so much fun and educational watching them. Take care and stay safe.

Awesome result. I scratch built one many years ago in fibreglass and put a similar lighting rig in. I didn't have the two modes of lighting but i did mange to place a piezo speaker in the bottom of the handle, under the battery for a sound effect

Hi David, thank you for watching and taking the time to leave a comment! So you actually molded your own fibreglass in a scratch build? That kind of work really impresses me!
      All the best.

Extremely nice. I will be copying your wiring setup when I do mine.
I also used to watch Space 1999 every Saturday night after the news and before Popcorn theatre on my local station, usually with a Flash Gordon Serial thrown in between. A badly dubbed Kung Fu movie or monster movie, or sci fi B-grade low budget groaner.

      Hi Shannon,
That is some serious scratch building! I’m always impressed by that kind of work. It takes a lot more time and dedication than a polystyrene kit, that’s for sure.
Thanks again for taking the time to comment.
