    I would have made "L" shaped angle iron "Hinges" bolted to the frame.
    I did like the cut outs you did, very nice indeed.
    We use "L" Brackets to bolt tool boxes on our oil delivery trucks, Not one ever came loose.

    As I've said before, cost comes in more the dollars. Buying those boxes pre-made, and on sale, saved so much time and effort, it was more then worth the money. As usual you figured out an ingenious way to get them installed and look like they were always there. Also being heavier duty then what you would be able to do yourself I think makes them even more valuable. They look fantastic. Another project well done!
    Your build has been really fun to watch and the vids are fantastic, and really clear on how to get things done. And if the inside never gets done, then we'll be able to watch you not get it done for a long time to come. Sounds like a win all around!

      Wow thank you!!! We appreciate you joining our journey and commenting on our videos! It means so much that you’re enjoying what we put out, and the validation on our choices is great reassurance for us! We’re glad we picked these up while they were on sale! $250 off each box! Huge savings! We can’t wait to continue to share our build with you but we also can’t wait to hit the road and share our adventures!!!

    Love the build guys and an inspiration to me and others. Well done.
    Just a note guys please be careful. I noticed 2:38 no mask and others where powdered debris may be generated.
    My belief is a DIY loses its savings if you pay for a mistake (especially your health) later on.
    Be safe and happy to see the eye and ear safety but please respiratory safety is a must especially (gases on paints and powdered dangers) and gloves (especially chemicals where our pores can absorb).
    Thank you for the videos guys!

    If your going to use Grade 8 nuts and bolts , aircraft quality, because of their strength. You may want to consider what will be happening to the bottom on that mild steel box with maybe a hundred pounds of stuff bouncing up and down as you go down the road. Support the bottom.

    • @AdamandAtlas
      @AdamandAtlas  6 місяців тому

      The massive spacers we made distribute the load onto the mild steal and prevent it from deforming. They have been holding hundreds of pounds for the last 2 years and they are still like new.

    • @AdamandAtlas
      @AdamandAtlas  2 роки тому

      Rivnuts are a great solution for adding a mounting point for a lot of applications! but because of the stresses of holding up the boxes, id stick with welded nuts just because they cant pull thru.

      @@UsPlusaBus if you watch our “kicked out” video, we installed the other underbody box closer to the wheel on the other side of the bus. If you’re putting it behind the wheel, maybe a little further? And maybe cover it with rubber or something, it’ll get a lot of heat from rocks.

    I mean something other than cabinets. The underbody of the bus is very rusty, I think you should try to get rid of this rust first. Otherwise, all your hard work will be wasted. But still, good luck with your work. Ben dolaplar harici bir şey demek istiyorum. otobüs ün alt karoser i çok paslı bence siz ilk önce bu pastan arınmak için çalışın. yoksa yaptığınız bu kadar emek boşa gider. Ama yinede emeğinize sağlık kolay gelsin.

    • @AdamandAtlas
      @AdamandAtlas  2 роки тому

      Hey! There’s a couple shots in the video of adam grinding the rust off and painting it with a rocker guard paint. What you didn’t see was 5 hours worth of grinding the rust off over head, hence why Adams face is so dirty in a lot of the shots, we thought we’d spare the viewers with that footage. Have a great day!
