Churn rate, sometimes known as attrition rate, is the rate at which customers stop doing business with a company over a given period of time. Churn may also apply to the number of subscribers who cancel or don't renew a subscription.
Great points! Although doing only annual didn't fix the churn. It only delays it. What we can do is to have separate churn for monthly, and yearly. Otherwise, I can also say I have reduced my churn to 0%. Simply by firing all my customers ☠
Hey great video. I’m currently facing churn issues now with my edtech company. Can you share some advice you received that was good advice for reducing churn, but didn’t necessarily work for Exploding Topics?
Hey Brian. How many employees do you currently have at exploding topics? Would you recommend the switch from affiliates to SAAS owner for people who are looking for a new challenge? :) Do you think it is still easier to make mid 5 figs per mo with affiliates?
Thanks Brian and i want ask that, everywhere i found video about How to build backlinks, but nowhere i found video or article about for which pages to build links i mean for pillar page, homepage, or any random article. Please guide.
How do you measure retention for a particular group, for example, only VCs among your whole customer base? I know cohort analysis is a way, but I'm really curious to know how you collect and organize their data to actually come up with absolute conclusions-positive or negative.
Churn, in a business context, refers to the rate at which customers or subscribers stop using a product or service over a specific period of time. It's often expressed as a percentage and is a critical metric for businesses, especially those in industries like telecommunications, software as a service (SaaS), or subscription-based services. High churn rates can be problematic as they indicate a loss of customers and revenue, while low churn rates are generally seen as positive because they indicate customer retention and loyalty. Businesses often employ strategies to reduce churn, such as improving customer service, enhancing product features, or offering incentives to retain customers.
