Pretty cool...and probably the first people who didn't say they had an extra bed for visitors....... LOL!!! It is built for YOU.... That electrical closet though ..wow!! Thank you for sharing.. Enjoy 💕💕🙏🏾
I think I have watched every build on the internet and have built 2 myself. If there is only 65K in this it is probably the best value I have ever seen!! MAGIC!
Great build. They have gone through many of the things we are going through with our build. Their dinette came out great. The organization is next level. Love it "real life moments "
Function, function, function! A pleasure to watch this video and see how much thought, effort and creativity was applied in this unique build. Thanks for sharing.
Incredibly well thought out build. The biggest problem with a lot of builds, is that they haven't been tested and tried. This is a proven system and it's impressive.
My Fiance and I just watched your video, and we so appreciate your time, dedication to detail and your perspective! The advice you gave was priceless and gave us alot to consider! We love your build and are seeking to be future overlanders living exclusively off the grid! Thank you for all the info and helping us with many things we hadn't thought of! A++
02:49 2003, we built our ExpeditionVehicle on a 1996 Ford CF8000 commercial truck. . Our first modification was adding a 140-gallon 'saddle-tank' to supplement the factory 50-gallon, giving us 190-gallons on the rig. . On the toy-hauler I fabricated on a similar commercial chassis, I mounted an additional 120-gallon diesel tank. . In theory, our range without re-fill is Anchorage-to-Acapulco.
Such an amazing build. I think this is my favorite that I’ve ever seen. There is absolutely nothing I would change about it if it were mine, and I sure wish it was! I am completely in love with the dish storage/rack/drain to gray tank idea. Every bit of this Rig is impressive. Thank you for sharing.
Absolutely brilliant - just incredible the next level of innovation. I love how you gave some backstory as to why you made the choices you have. From cooling and heating to item placement and weight distribution. There is a sting when building a home. The first is for your enemy. The second for a friend. The third time is for yourself. Great planning, design and innovation. Probably perhaps the absolute best build I’ve seen thus far. Well done.
Really impressed by the truck build. I don't have the skills to plan and execute a build like this myself but certainly learnt a tonne from this video. Real life moments. Super. Thank you.
Wow :) That is a lovely build out and you can see that many hundreds of hours of design and labour has been put into your conversation. As an electrical engineer I was amazed at the quality and ingenuity of your electrical build. I love the lace wiring and use of din rails. I was very impressed by just the small period of time I could see your electrical system. The use of the Victron Dc to Dc , inverter and battery isolator units to protect your battery system. I thought I spotted a charger so you can charge the engine batteries from the house battery to. The wiring is neat and secure and I love the layout. One thing you could consider too is a smoke and heat detector in the electrical area wired to drop the battery trigger input so it will isolate the battery, the sealing of the roof void so that any smoke stays trapped in that area would be great to. With those lovely wiring looms and terminations you could use some pcb component support gunk to help lock down din rail terminations on top of the locking washers I assume you have used. There is something else you could do that would give you fantastic protection and that is fire tube. It's a plastic tube you run in all wiring looms, round all devices and the inside area. The tube is designed to leak where it comes into contact with any flame or dangerous temperature, the tube is pressurised by connecting each end into a Co2 fire extinguisher via a Y connector. This will release a spray of liquid Co2 into the exact area where a fault my have developed and is a fantastic cheap failsafe fire Suppression system. I think you can get the tube from Amazon and if not Ebay. You just run the loop in a ring so the Co2 can go both ways and connect to a 2Kg fire extinguisher where the horn would screw on. Once leak tested you remove the pin and bolt the release handles together so the loop is always pressurised. I have used it in plc control cabinets and custom HVAC control panels and it works amazingly well. I used to add a sprinkler system pressure switch in line with the output to trigger a sounder as well to give a warning. Just a thought for you to mull over. Again.... A lovely electrical system you should be very proud of. If you have a diagram I could have a look at I would love to see it. Out of curiosity what BMS did you use for the Tesla packs as I know there is an open source one that works with the OEM canbus so you can keep the factory ballance and temperature monitor boards. P.S. I love the extending cellular antenna. Is that raised pneumatically ? Ever considered a small wind turbine for some seaside power ? Now I have finished adding things on to your system in my head I will wish you well in your travels. Thanks for taking the time to read this and if you do have a diagram / layout I would be very interested in having a look 😀 Very nice job Ginger and Greg 👍👍👍 Do you have your own UA-cam channel BTW ?
I love everything about this truck. I can see that you had months to plan, plan and re-plan before you started the build. Everything is so carefully considered. Great job.
Wow! I love this design. Such a simple, and logical design for toilet placement. *Never even dawned on me to lay it out that way. Thanks for sharing. 👊
Wow!! This is one amazing build. When you first mentioned the amount you paid I thought I heard wrong. I listened again and was blown away. But after hearing all the upgrades I could easily see it and it’s well worth it. And more. I love everything in this build especially the dish rack. That is so cool. Can’t beat a Freightliner. Those things are beasts. Congratulations! It’s one awesome “campulance!” Safe travels, vaya con Dios!
16 yrs on the road, North America and Central America. Sure wish I could have done it in this rig. keep up the posts, I can't do it anymore. I live through these types of sites.
So much to talk about, with so little space! I thought (and I love these videos) I could probably talk about this particular conversion for a few minutes, not because I know anything obviously... but I love to pontificate about stuff I don't know. After they (especially she) is done talking I thought it was the Taj Mahal. Just up late, need to quiet down - but I love these videos and this is a great one. I wish the both of you the best, you are living a very practical life.
Amazing job. I have MAXTRAX traction boards. I recommend 4 vice 2. I use them seldomly but whenever I do help someone or help myself I am always glad I have four. I can’t tell which ones you have, but I recommend buying the best they make versus the best you can afford. We have useD the max tracks to create a platform to prevent vehicle rollover etc. Good luck!
I love the attitude of the guy showing us the outside build; like yes, I just did th. As if 99% of us could even imagine it, let alone do it. Nice work to say the least. The inside is inspired and so well thought out. Y'all did an amazing job. Mazel tov
The build is very well planned out. It makes it one of the most complete build outs I've seen even professionally due to the combination of many features working in harmony with each. Congratulations on such an accomplishment.
Thank you for sharing this practical and very innovative build. I love that you built what the two of you needed, guided by your past experiences. I wasn't sure a composting toilet would work in such a small space when used full time by two people. It seems that most people have a cassette toilet but I don't like the ongoing consumables.
I noticed the leveling blocks (orange) .. I am surprised they would not crush. Also maybe you can had the self leveling jacks ... asthmatic. leveling. I was builds for my entertainment. One of the best concept builds that is intriguing. I like the dishwasher thing too. I changed my nature's head so I don't have to clean it out.... I put in a bucket and plastic bag and just slide a cover over it when not in use. I use pine shavings used as bedding and have had zero issues... no paper and layer ... in a bit just open, tie the bad and off to it's permanent new home ... then put in a new plastic bag and good to go... (no pun intended).
I’m looking for a Ex military Unimog at the moment but duel cab models are quite rare in Australia but single cab versions are easily available. Nice build !!
13:31 2003, we received a devastating diagnosis. In one week -- while selling everything -- we acquired our foundation vehicle and completed its conversion to our ExpeditionVehicle. . Within a week, we hit the road from Oregon with the vague goal of 'south'. Twenty-four months twenty-four thousand miles around South America. Alaska, Panama, all over North and Central America. . Summers up rough logger tracks to remote mountain lakes. Winters on isolated Baja beaches. . Over two decades full-time live-aboard. Zero interest in a stand-still house.
The slide out microwave is brilliant. Diverting the urine is another great idea. Your electrical system looks like it was designed by the folks at NASA. Very impressive build. Did I mention the slide out microwave? I'm subscribed.
Nice one, that's easily the best value rig I've ever seen. A little cluttered, but seems super functional and perhaps the perfect size (for the US that is).
This is insane, I have to really rethink my rig options here as I had about the same in $$$ mapped out for mods on my Ram (Pup Rig). The attention to detail here is amazing, and it's all about Team work. Have you gone on any extreme winter trips, and if so have you had any issues with moisture or low temp cut off in extreme cold temps? I was going with SOK's 206ah batteries and Redarc's Redvision but I picked up a Gas Backup - Yamaha SC2300i for winter camping.
Please let me know where you got the kitchen table or where you got the parts! I’m very interested and love how it mounts to the wall and goes up and down 👏

Enjoy 💕💕🙏🏾
Finally, a camper build built by adults for people who live like adults. The engineering that went into this unit is remarkable.
Perfectly said!
Us young folk building a camper don’t have 100k+ to build a camper like this
Very tacky adults
Adulthood is overated
What does that even mean? What a short sighted, irrational thing to say. Typical boomer.
I think I have watched every build on the internet and have built 2 myself. If there is only 65K in this it is probably the best value I have ever seen!! MAGIC!
So much features I've never seen anywhere like their drying rack connected to the grey water jug. Perfect for 2 and for them.
That is one of the best wiring systems I have ever seen in a build, next to the systems done by Humble Road. Very impressive work.
I agree I watch Humble Road and that man is a genius in building vans. If I was a very rich man he would build one for me
Great build. They have gone through many of the things we are going through with our build. Their dinette came out great. The organization is next level. Love it "real life moments "
Best electric setup I've seen in any camper video so far, the guy thought it thru perfectly
Very nice now y'all can go with the best of them . GOD BLESS YOU TWO
This is an excellent build, four seasons, off road capable has ample room and smart space usage (and superb wiring).
3rd time lucky 😂

2003, in our ExpeditionVehicle, we built our bed-platform using expanded metal, similar to stout window-screen.
Plenty of circulation.

@10:28 - those massive hinged windows with shades built in are amazing - great find - thank you for letting us know who you got them from!
Yes, greatly appreciated!
Love the slide out Microwave but the dish drying system is simply awesome!
This is PURE GENIUS I love the fact they built it how they want it and I don't see one thing that can be considered not useful. Awesome
i have to say this is the best setup I have seen...well done
That electrical system looked amazing
omg one of the best truck camper build ever
That thing has style inside and out! Love the blue cushions and that built-in-screen.
Really impressed by the truck build. I don't have the skills to plan and execute a build like this myself but certainly learnt a tonne from this video. Real life moments. Super. Thank you.
the way you did the dish drain tub was fuckng awesome. imma have to steal that idea
Wow :)

That's gotta be one of the best DIY setups I've seen. You can tell that's a MK III build out and knowing what works and doesn't.
I’ve watched hundreds of videos looking for a camper for two persons. It appears to me it’s one of the best. Thanks a lot for an idea!
I love everything about this truck. I can see that you had months to plan, plan and re-plan before you started the build. Everything is so carefully considered. Great job.
Thanks for sharing! You guys did a great job on converting the truck into a mobile home. Well done!
This is one of the most sophisticated RV builds I have ever seen. GREAT JOB!
Wow! I love this design. Such a simple, and logical design for toilet placement. *Never even dawned on me to lay it out that way. Thanks for sharing. 👊
Some amazing ideas going on here!! And thank you for mentioning the web pages where you got the stuff!

16 yrs on the road, North America and Central America. Sure wish I could have done it in this rig. keep up the posts, I can't do it anymore. I live through these types of sites.
Great build and your narration was spot on! Thank you
Would you love to live in an overlander like this?!
Absolutely! I love this one. They made some really original choices that I think are great. And one of my "must haves" is a dinette, theirs is great.
Maybe yea
No limits what trail you can go
Yes. You could make a living manufacturing rigs like this. I would buy one as I don't have the time to do it myself.
Yes! This is exactly my dream rig. I’d at least like to have you do the wiring in my RV. The wiring in most new RVs is so poorly done.
So much to talk about, with so little space! I thought (and I love these videos) I could probably talk about this particular conversion for a few minutes, not because I know anything obviously... but I love to pontificate about stuff I don't know. Commendable job on the overall layout and the engineering.
That is pretty badass seems like you have everything you need that's cool
Built for your own use absolutely awesome
Awesome Rig!! Cool couple! Worked your asses off that is for sure!!
I absolutely love these solutions!! Fantastic ambulance!
IT IS A VERY NICE OFF ROAD TRUCK. I HAVE A MAX AIR FAN AND IT WORKS PRETTY GOOD👍. NOT LIKE AN AC OFF COURSE.
The build is very well planned out. It makes it one of the most complete build outs I've seen even professionally due to the combination of many features working in harmony with each. Congratulations on such an accomplishment.
💕One of the best builds I’ve seen in a truck💕

All of it looks great. I was a bit confused about the bed and how small it was originally, but the unfold part was really interesting
it's quite astonishing to be able to put so much in to so little space...
Your rig is amazing. Your luxuries are great. 👍
Love this so much, nothing over board and still premium ❤️
I am super impressed with that bed system you have going on there. Very cool.
i don't have much idea about the rv or van life but altogether it looks good. nice work
I seen a lot of these clips now and you guys are my favourite 😀
Wow, this is awesome. Well done guys !
So many clever hacks, great video!!
Two thumbs up on such an amazing van build. Looks like a small apartment.
Very nice… like too see it being used some were in the back country…🤙🏾
Sweet set up, love the big table and electrical buttons for the bed!
Literally my dream vehicle, I need to get one asap.
Great build and great couple. 👍🏻🏴
Good job guys. The video came out great.
Fantastic build inside and out!
Excellent Truck! Well though out and beautifully built!
WOW THAT ELECTRIC PANEL IS UNREAL !!!!!!!
Truly a beautiful build, looks better then some stick homes!
I am only half way through but wow. Very impressive.
Great video guys. Safe travels. May God bless you
Beautiful build!!
At 14:25 of this awesome video was that a cribbage board I saw. Did you two ever live in Wisconsin?
Anyone noticed the dog cooperating and not moving when the bed was moved?? So cute huhu

Wow... the whole thing is wow.. certainly don't see many mini-splits on a camper. bet that has no problem keeping the place cool.
Most bad ass rig I’ve seen yet
Howdy Guys! Great Video And Thanks For Sharing My Friend!

Interesting build and components. They have things and systems that I have ever heard of in a rig.🤔
