Mr Flibble is quivering with rage as Chris Barrie calmly but extremely threateningly tells them that "Mr Flibble is very cross" is hands down one of my favourite scenes *ever*
One of my favorite episodes! My husband and I would watch Red Dwarf on Saturday nights with Chinese takeout while dating in the nineties. We just celebrated 17 years of marriage... thanks, Red Dwarf!
Kryten man, you okay? I have a medium sized fire axe buried in my spinal column sir, that sort of thing can really put a crimp on your day!! Greatest Dwarf line ever.
Rimmer's hilarious in full villain mode. I can't decide which is my favourite, this or his scene in "Demons and Angels". "Hello, my pretty." "What do you want with me!" "I want to hurt you." "Why??" "Because...I'm not a very nice person!"
As iconic as Mr Flibble is, we must never against this bit: "There is a medium size fireaxe buried in my spinal column. That sort of thing can really put a crimp on your day"
For years, Flibble has been my older brother's nickname for me. I remember when I was about seven and he was about twelve, he started to watch Red Dwarf. He somehow thought that "Flibble" sounded like my name, Libby. I was confused, so he showed me a picture of Mr. Flibble. I didn't really understand. Now I'm twelve, and just recently watched this episode. I'm obsessed. This (and David Tennant's Doctor Who, of course) is absolutely the best show. Ever.
LibzTheKitty Lps I know right. Absolutely awesome. If you like Red Dwarf I also recommend Firefly. It's a tad more gory and "sexed" up but it's really awesome.
"I begged the potato king. He wouldn't let me let you out." "Well let us see the potato king so we can plead." "You have gone crazy. There is no potato king"
It's up there with Bill and Ted declaring that they'll go back in time once everything is all over to set up the escape from their current problem, which just happens to have already happened. 🙃
The reason I came to watch this is that I was watching a new report on rollerderby training in Tasmania and the guys stage name was Mr Flibble...classic
How the hell did these guys make it through this episode without losing their minds? This stuff is hilarious; just imagining trying to play this all straight is laughable!
They probably did lose their damn minds multiple times and they just spliced together all the takes were they weren’t on the ground howling with laughter
Red Dwarf did a great line in comedy horror that was actually scary, because the writing and the performances were just so good. I'll always remember the triplicator episode with the evil version of Red Dwarf was very disturbing to watch as a kid.
3:10 - The scary thing is that Mr Flibble is part of the holograpic projection. Meaning that he could well have had the ability to see the other crews members when he peeped around the corner, earlier, at 2:42.
I watched this episode earlier this year and I only find out NOW there was an official Mr Flibbel puppet?! I can't find it anywhere! ... Mr Flibble would be very cross.
I know it's been five years, but... Chris apparently only agreed to wear the dress if the others did too at some point, which I think is why they appear in them at the end!
1:18 Who eats two and one-half badgers anyway? Badgers!? They don’t like no badgers! Nobody likes to eat no stinkin’ badgers! 1:30 And since when do the people of South Moldavia even need self-determination at all?
Mr Flibble is quivering with rage as Chris Barrie calmly but extremely threateningly tells them that "Mr Flibble is very cross" is hands down one of my favourite scenes *ever*
m
Yeah, awesome.
And the moment when Mr. Flibble has whale eye is equally hilarious and terrifying
Well Chris had worked on Spitting Image so I guess they used his talents with puppetry here. He really was a Jack of all trades in comedy.
You can buy a Mr Flibble puppet
How Mr. Flibble is not on lists of the greatest TV villians, I'll never know. You don't mess with Flibble.
@b phillip the fuck you talking about?
Hes the king of the potato people, oh my wasted teenage years
It really gets my feckles up that Mr Flibble isn't considered one the greatest villains of all time
And to think I got myself a Mr Flibble puppet all them years ago, I may have to call an exorcist.
good god, I had totally forgotten about the childhood nightmare that was Mr. Flibble
1:47 I like how Mr. Flibble is trembling with rage.
Sort of how my hand trembles when I play clicker games and use 90% of my power
Christian Alan Wilson what EP is this
and when he tilts his hand down and the eyes also fall down.

I also like how Mr Flibble gives the boys side eye and then nods in their direction when Rimmer asks him a question
I loved how Mr. Flibble glares over at the guys after whispering in Rimmer's ear!
One of my favorite episodes! My husband and I would watch Red Dwarf on Saturday nights with Chinese takeout while dating in the nineties. We just celebrated 17 years of marriage... thanks, Red Dwarf!
if my husband isnt like this then i dont want him 😂
Yep i use to watch it with my dad
Your comment made me smile!
Good for you mate.
My brother and I would order Chinese takeout as teenagers and watch this on VHS!
So it would be 22 years of marriage now. Yes?
1:49: I love the way Mr Flibble is quivering with rage as Rimmer is talking xD
You can buy a Mr Flibble puppet
Kryten man, you okay? I have a medium sized fire axe buried in my spinal column sir, that sort of thing can really put a crimp on your day!! Greatest Dwarf line ever.
Yes, without a doubt
Not even, 2 and 1 half badgers and I'm fine thank you Susan put your choice to shame.
I would’ve said “I have a medium-sized fire axe buried in my spinal column, sir. Does that seem okay to you?”
No, the greatest Red Dwarf line is:
Kryten: "Sir, they've taken Mr Rimmer!"
Cat: "Quick, let's get out of here before they bring him back!"
I don't know about that. I absolutely loved the
Rimmer: Step up to blue alert
Kryten: Are you sure sir that does mean changing the bulb
I was at the height of my interest in Red Dwarf around this time, I still think the idea of luck being a form of virus is brilliant.
This episode is why red dwarf is one of the best comedy shows ever.
A great combo of Sci Fi and comedy that has not and cannot be matched.
"He's gonna be OK? The luck virus must have worn off."
3:03 - 3:08 Love the way Mr. Flibble “dies”. Lmao
Corona has made mr flibble very cross.
🤣🤣🤣
(People ignore warnings and don't social distance or wear masks)
"They've been very naughty, haven't they Mr Flibble?"
You shouldn't have left your houses...
2:04
His face is one of the greatest moments about this scene
The side glance at 2:08
@@ZuluRomeo 2:12 I love that glare.
Mr. Flibble also stayed awake a little longer after Rimmer collapsed. He's tough!
Rimmer's hilarious in full villain mode. I can't decide which is my favourite, this or his scene in "Demons and Angels".
"Hello, my pretty."
"What do you want with me!"
"I want to hurt you."
"Why??"
"Because...I'm not a very nice person!"
"First, I'm going to whip you within an inch of your life, and then... I'm going to have you."
Taranshula! Funniest RD scene! This is a close second
Rimmer is by far the best character in red dwarf!
This spoof horror is actually more scary than a lot of today's genuine horror.
Ngl as a kid this actually did scare me
As iconic as Mr Flibble is, we must never against this bit: "There is a medium size fireaxe buried in my spinal column. That sort of thing can really put a crimp on your day"
Two and one half badgers please😂
"Game over boysh". Mr. Flibble's voice is pure excellence. Kinda slurry, yet brilliant. I named my new DeviantArt profile after him. XD
Proper British humor when I was a child. Happy days.
This episode absolutely destroys me everytime. I love red dwarf! I wish there was more shows like this i seriously do
Mr Flibble had the worlds saddest anime death

+Mr. Flibble There are seven people who have voted down this video. I imagine this might make you very cross.
how cross are you
The king of the potato people thumbs downed this video
My palm and five fingers are your ultimate controllers, how cross are you?
Yes that right mr flibble we do.....
Season 13 ... The Return of Mr Flibble
That look of rimmer when he was standing in the door and said mr flibble's very cross😂😂
I have a signed photo of Chris Barrie wearing this outfit.
"Two and one half badgers, please." 😅

Chris Barrie seems suspiciously good at controlling that puppet. I wonder if that skill is from working on Spitting Image?
The way he says Uncle Arnie fries them alive is so funny 😂 this was an amazing show they should make a new series
Lister: Kryton man are you okay?
Kryton: I have a medium sized fire axe buried in my spine. It could really put a crimp on your day.
Best british sitcom ever!
Star Trek has borg
Doctor who has the Daleks
Red Dwarf has Mr Flibble
The 7 people who dislike this video are very naughty boys.
*Gasp* We can't do that Mr Flibble!
Who'd clean up the mess?
+The Great Papyrus why I think that deserves two hours of WOO.
With Out Oxygen!
The Great Papyrus That'll teach you to be bread baskets!
And what happens to naughty boys who have been naughty, VikingLady219?
The noises robert makes always makes me smile :)
We can't possibly do that! Who’ll clean up the mess?
Brings back wonderful memories of sitting on the couch with my mom watching Red Dwarf on BBC.
The reason I came to watch this is that I was watching a new report on rollerderby training in Tasmania and the guys stage name was Mr Flibble...classic
For me this is the best Red Dwarf episode by some margin.
Mr Fibbles, the only time Rimmer gets to pick up a bird, he pppppicks up a penguin!
😂😂😂😂
Couple years ago i knitted a Mr Flibble puppet for my dad for his birthday. 🐧
"We can't possibly do that... who'd clean up the mess?"
Ah, that's better, maybe now I can WIN SELF-DETERMINATION FOR THE SOUTH MOLDAVIAN PEOPLE!
And the people of Rhodesia you too while you're at it
Two and one half badgers please
No I'll eat them here.
Always A CLASSIC line
Rimmer's like a more twisted Kray twins in one person in this one haha. Classic episode
1:33 - People from Moldavia are saying “We need self-determination?”
If people don't laugh at this they need to be disintegrated by Arnold's hex vision
Mr. Flibble would be very cross
How the hell did these guys make it through this episode without losing their minds? This stuff is hilarious; just imagining trying to play this all straight is laughable!

I used to wonder why people considered Chris Barrie the star of the show when Lister is set up as the protagonist. Then I saw this episode.
1:03 I expected him to end that with “Does it seem like I’m okay to you?”
Possibly one of the top ten eps ever. Especially the roller coaster ride.
Red Dwarf did a great line in comedy horror that was actually scary, because the writing and the performances were just so good. I'll always remember the triplicator episode with the evil version of Red Dwarf was very disturbing to watch as a kid.
My first born baby is being born october 1... I'm going as crazy rimmer and the baby will be mr. Fibble for Halloween, I've already decided 😂
this series cannot be recreated in any other country
Best Rimmer moment
Two and one half badgers please!
3:10 - The scary thing is that Mr Flibble is part of the holograpic projection. Meaning that he could well have had the ability to see the other crews members when he peeped around the corner, earlier, at 2:42.
Favourite episode by a long shot. Tried getting a replica of Mr. Flibble, got a Talkie Toaster instead.
Ah, so you're a crumpet man??
My mum said I was like Rimmer. I didn't understand what she meant.
Now I get why.
'Mr Rimmer can't have long to live.' He's already dead.
This is probably my favorite episode.
I like how madness has turned Rimmer slightly Liverpudlian. It's like a weird insult towards Lister.
I had an animated Mr flibbles mouse cursor back in the late 90s. The tail part was Mr flibbles body and the cursor part was him shooting eye beams.
''mr flibble is very cross!''LOL.
Undoubtedly the funniest episode I ever seen.
I like how Mr. Flibble has a Mancunian accent
Krytens lines after the axeing were priceless!
THIS IS THE BEST
one of the best episodes 😀
Just tripped over this clip and, several years after the fact, I now get that Project Binky gag.
What about the way Mr Flibble turns his head and looks at Rimmer?😂😂😂
I watched this episode earlier this year and I only find out NOW there was an official Mr Flibbel puppet?! I can't find it anywhere! ... Mr Flibble would be very cross.
How the hell they managed to get Chris Barrie into that dress I will never know!
He's a paid actor, so... they probably just paid him to do it.
Or are you saying he's fat?
Steff Brockley Eh? Weight had nothing to do with my earlier question!
The same way you make anything that's difficult fit... with money, Vaseline and a crowbar. And possibly holding loved ones as hostage.
I bet they had trouble convincing him to give it back.
I know it's been five years, but...
Chris apparently only agreed to wear the dress if the others did too at some point, which I think is why they appear in them at the end!
Mr. Flibble's very cross. 9 people shouldn't have disliked the video.
best episode of a classic program
1:15 I wonder how many times they had to redo this scene because someone started laughing uncontrollably.
The dated low budget special effects make it even funnier 🤣
Who the hell could dislike this?!

Yeah! Don't piss off Mr flibble

First of all, the superimposed eyeballs are creepy as hell.
Second, Mr. Flibble would easily win a fight against Hannibal Lecter.
The hex-vision used to creep me out as a kid. Still a great episode though.
When I was a little kid, it was just Low Rimmer that creeped me out, this part didn't. Chris Barrie does play crazy well in both instances.
THIS IS SOOOO AMAZING
