this is probably the friendliest bus driver I have ever seen
My favorite bus b26 and b65
I love this guy.He used to drive the B14 and B65 and always made everyone feel good about life
I am a UK bus driver and I preach the same idea as Mr Dean. I always wear a smile when people board, and disembark, and thank them or tell them to have a nice day/evening :D
People do say that it is great to have a driver who is positive as it is infectious and makes everyone else smile and feel good.
I like that. It is a power we all have access to ;)
I wish I could show my work ethnic and my skills just like you do Sir. I'm a bus Operator in a Small island name Barbados. I was voted the best bus driver by the people living on the island. And to see you doing your job the way it's suppose to be done, it makes me feel like I'm on the right path to success. I hope to become a MTA bus driver sometime in the near future.
Great job, God bless!!
Good job Mr. Dean for a being a well reputed professional driver...
For setting a great example...
I had the pleasure and honor to meet NYCT Bus Operator Mr. Jefrick Dean today at the NYC Bus Roadeo in Corona, Queens today. A conscientious, humble and mild-mannered individual and amongst New York City Transit's hometown heroes!
He's a gentleman
I Also Met Him, He Is A Great Driver!
I lived in NYC for three years in the late 90s. I took the bus and subway almost every day. After moving to another city and having to deal with their pathetic excuse for transit, I now see how good it is in NYC. I am willing to forgive a handful of insignificant disappointments if you'll excuse me for taking the other 99% of the time for granted. In my defense, it is easy to do that. Moreover, in this other city I frequently clashed with operators over their poor service - and even enjoyed doing it. if I ever failed to treat an NYC Bus operator with the same or greater courtesy that they showed to me, I deeply apologize and do not ask for forgiveness. They earned my respect many times over. It is my honor, pleasure, and privilege to use NYC Transit. thank you.
KillerKane0 As a bus operator in the city this means a lot and we appreciate great passengers like you.

I am glad to hear that and am happy to reciprocate. Will you admit that neither of us are perfect beings and mishaps may occur? In a city as large and as complex as NYC, all kinds of things -- weather, traffic, mechanical issues, or just crowds of people -- may influence the quality of service. in my experience with NYC Transit, I encountered very, very few issues with the service. In this other city, the problems were both chronic and persistent. Worse, no one seemed to care. You do, and it shows. Thank you again.
KillerKane0 I'm soooo curious , what city has the pathetic transit
Toronto, Canada. Absolutely unreliable service, worst operator attitude, a complete contrast to NYC's transit. After dealing with the TTC, I get down on my knees and apologize to the MTA for taking their hard work for granted.
I'm about to graduate college in 2018 and I would love to be an MTA bus driver. I think it's a cool job, I would love it.
Do it, they get great benefits and I think the salary's not bad either.
Ife's Voice me too!!
@@psan1618 they start at 31 a hour domethikg like that
Go for it! I hope you get to live out your dream! Many blessings to you, and the job has great stability and benefits! Especially, if you want to have and raise a family!

A true testament to what all transit operators should strive to be. From one transit operator to another transit operator......GREAT JOB Jefrick!

Mr.Jefrick.Dean,a true pro, inspiring, this is the kind of man young people can look up to,was in New York City in May 2012,as a bus operator in Canada, was able to ride the m.t.a. was impressed, operators were friendly, helpful, and safe drivers, well done mta,and congrats Mr.Dean.
My friend Jay Thomas, rest in peace was an MTA maintenance in New York. He was resident here in Maryland. If anyone in New York transit knew him. He was like a brother to me. We all miss him. God bless.
Wow!!!!......I'm currently a city worker and pushing 14 years...I don't know about working beyond 22 to 25 years, but this man is showing discipline, maturity and enthusiasm

Buses are a bit slow they get the job done its fast than walking but bus v normal car bus will lose but bus is still fast bus is slow cuz it has stops
Wow comment still here. I've had my CDL 5 years now. I live in UPSTATE NY.
Congratulations!!!
That’s a rough route b25 my uncle worked at that depot. Martin Dabney. RIP
oh oh good video thank you.. merci bien
Wow you are one great bus driver, unlike the bus driver which i have had for 3 times on the B11 bus that may have hearing impairments or is purposely not pressing the unlock door button for people to get off
The majority of Transperth drivers always are up for a chat with me. They are treated well by passengers because I am on board. I like sitting at the front near the driver to spark a conversation. However, knowing drivers can be distracted, I usually break my conversation down
At least he ain’t driving the hawk on the B4-Ever
Dean!!! My co worker out of ENY depot!!!!
come to Philly and drive for SEPTA
I always wanted to be. Bus driver
What do i need to have CDL Automatic or Manual license ?
MAN HOW DO U STAY STRESS FREE. IM ON SOME LINES PPL ARE RUDE.
I've been working for NYC buses for 25 years it is now one of the worst jobs to have. You, as the operator are blamed for EVERYTHING. You will get no help from the union, no help from management, no help from the cops. Just ask any senior member the union only takes care of the rookies. And the hell with the senior drivers
It takes a lot of skilled driving to get around traffic and doubled parked vehicles.
Nice
What bus do you drive
You are not wearing a seatbelt?
Back when the fare was $2.25
3 train ends in east new yirk

Being a bus driver is dangerous
I wanna be a bus operator how did you get the job
Alijah Rodriguez well, go on the MTA website and you should find a lot of info. From what I understand, there's a civil service exam, a drug test, and a LONG waiting list on average. You must also have a class B drivers license and a GED at minimum.
+A08041988 I've heard that the grace period from after taking the test for Bus Operator can span from 8 months to four years. Is that true or not?
I prefer Grumpy bus operators.
I wanna be a bus driver I wanna do the M4 bus route cause that bus is my favorite line anyways I wanna know how to become a bus driver because I want to do Manhattan routes
wow same here I also want to be a bus driver. I wanna drive in floridia though.
Milton R142A's and R143's I'm a bus operator I drove the M1 M7 M15 Sbs15 M31 M35 M116 for 5 years. now I'm in Staten Island on the express X1 from the island to the city ......Manhattan Is difficult for probationary operators. come to Staten Island the buses are better and the clientele is better.
Lee Jackson okay I mean that is true because manhattan Is always pack
That is my uncle
Fake. The bus isn't completely jammed with people because there hasn't been a bus for 30 minutes.
dang i remember him from when I use to take the bus in high school i hope he's doing well
