Could probably just.. sell your 330i and buy a clean ass 335is. You’d save a shit ton of time. Also you’d have an engine that was made for boost therefore has a higher power threshold. N52s are great cuz they’re reliable.. throwing boost at em just negates that fact.

@@dertmatyui Oh man no, even a boosted N52 is way more reliable, N54's are very unreliable, it's really because the N54 was the M3 F80 prototype engine and they decided to put it in the 335i to see how it goes over the years that people own it and they will improve it to be good enough for the M3 which is the S55 engine

Wow can this be done on the N53, basically the same engine but euro version, changed slightly as at the time in England we did not care about emissions as much.
Yes it spools slower than the .82 but pulls way harder than the .82 in upper RPM range. It no longer feels like its running out of breath on the highway.
devin schmelter no issues at below 19psi of boost. Been up to 24psi but cylinder head starts lifting. So needs head studs to hold more boost. So far no other issues.
Yes still running original manifold. I was doing some 25psi runs and the head gasket blew so replacing the head gasket at the moment. I'm going to post a video in the next week or so showing how the manifold looks as well as how the engine looks internally.

I have the same car bro but N53, personally this must be a built engine, rods, cams pistons cranks with different a head, but even then I think its only built for 1 or 2 pulls before going kaput, the N52/N53 engines are light weight magnisum engines and can't take excessive heat or compression, exactly whats going in here lol. Hats of to them though even this one pull is impressive.
The Airfuel ratio. Peak torque hits at around 13:1 afr when the boost comes in then it comes down to 12:1 afr when the computer catches up with the boost pressure reading. The car likes 13:1 afr better than 12:1 afr, i feel safer running 12:1 afr. Also timing is a big factor in the torque numbers as well. I have no control over timing, stock computer handles that at the moment. In actuality the torque is not that far off from Horsepower. Also have to remember those numbers are peak numbers which happen at different points in the range..
Yes very afraid, lol. I was planning on going higher boost but Its already lifting the head from the block at that boost. I have to upgrade the head bolts to studs. Then I will go back and see what happens next lol

Yep pretty quick. Have run a couple Ferraris, Maserati, and new NSX this weekend. They were not very happy with the outcome.

How did you go about tuning this car? or did you run a piggy back ecu, I can't find anything for these cars (n52) to let me adjust fuel tables.
Used AEM FIC piggyback ECU. DME flash tuning is now available for the stock DME now though, with modifications for reading boost pressure.

E85 tune. Don't think it would survive at these boost levels on 93 octane fuel.
