In recent years, our knowledge of life beneath the waves has been transformed. Using cutting-edge technology, One Ocean takes us on a journey from the intense heat of the tropics to our planet's frozen poles to reveal new worlds and extraordinary never-before-seen animal behaviours.
Starting in the tropical coral reefs - the most diverse ocean habitat - a baby dolphin is taught the secrets of a coral reef, as its family rubs against a particular gorgonian which may have medicinal properties. On another reef, a tusk fish demonstrates a surprising level of ingenuity - tool use - as it uses corals as an anvil to break open clams. In the Seychelles, half a million terns nest on an island. Fledglings must eventually take to the wing, but danger lurks beneath the waves - metre-long giant trevally fish leap clear out of the water to snatch the birds.

I have fished for trevally's for years and have never seen them do this. I will say they are some of the smartest fish in the ocean. Extremely hard to fool into taking the bait. Incredible footage.

The Trevally is truly one of the most underestimated and amazing fish of the oceans...which is why it is also known as the Kingfish in our waters here in South Africa. Pound for pound you won't find a stronger fighting, more intelligent, adrenaline-rush angling fish than the Kingie in any water around the world....and that footage is truly awesome, have never in my 40 years of fishing seen that....

When I worked at Pearl Harbor the employee eating area was on the docks and we would throw scraps of meat in and they would rush it somtimes we would buy a rotisserie chicken from Walmart and throw it in and watch them eat it in one gulp they are truly insane

Gt is a very popular fish among the anglers community in my country. They are known to be aggressive chasing top water lure and also at some cases broke the fishing rod. This fish is simply a beast!
