    It will be nice to see this video without the music. Thanks for sharing. I would like to see more details from this timing belt and water pump replacement. U didn't show us the torque specifications.

    Brilliant video!!! I have 2013 golf 1.4 tsi which looks like same engine! Hoping to do this job soon. You make it look easier than I expected! Thankyou!

    Thanks a lot for posting! I was looking for such a video for a long time. I read something about having to use a special measurement tool to set the timing again (VAS611007). I guess this is the case if you remove both cam sprockets and do not lock the cam shafts properly. If I read correctly there are versions of the TSI engine with variable timing on both cam shafts. Possibly it is harder there. My car is a Skoda Octavia with the 1.2 TSI (CJZ) engine and I bought the same tool kit as the one in the video. I am planning to buy new cam sprocket screws, as a VW mechanic told me it is critical to exchange for new. Do you think I can remove the aluminium cover, which is the engine mount essentially in order to avoid the removal of the camshaft sprocket? I will have to support the engine, but at least I won't have to remove the sprocket.

    Hello,
    I read that the replacement interval for the CJZD is 210,000 km. It is not specified in years, after how many years should it be replaced? I can't find information about this anywhere! Thanks!

    • @turbolali
      @turbolali  5 місяців тому

      6-8 years recommended... depending on use, sooner or later

      @@turbolali The interval, NOT! specified. Visual inspection of belt(s) on each service / inspection. If that is adequate, I do not know, I have a CJZD, that has done 110,000 km now. I will change the timing belt and the tensioner, at this point. Number of Teeth: 163
      Length [mm]: 1141, Width [mm]: 20. There is also a small belt with 28 teeth that drives the water pump, That can wait until 200,000 km, The engine will not be damaged if the small belt driving the water pump should fail. I take it for granted that the car will scream its "PLING! PLING!" -mercy if temperature exceeds specifications. 🙂

    would'nt have been easier to jack up the engine and remove the engine mount than squeezing in the tensioner to that small space?

    First of all the music is so annoying and loud and second what is the purpose of this video when you skip the most important part one of which is a how to put the belt back. Disassembly is always easier than assembly it needs skill experience and technic.
