We are thinking about this boat for our family and I had a few questions, hope its alright. What sort of fuel economy, on average, do you see? When you run into chop, can you still do 6 knots? Or are you thrown around too much? How easy would it be to install a large sunpad on the front? We are contemplating picking the boat up in Turkey and then trying for the river route up the Danube/Rhine and then back up to Norway, where we live. How does the boat handle in very tight spaces like a canal? Is there something you wish the boat had that it doesn't? Like a wind gauge or extra storage container on the roof?

Great questions. We did manage >6 knots into some chop but it all depended on the chop size and wave period. Our N41 weights > 20 tons with fuel and supplies so it is definitely not "thrown around". The movement is more up and down into chop with little side motion due to the great stabilisers. We have removable sun-pads for the front deck but you could easily customise a larger more permanent one - just remember that at anchor you might want to open the hatches for ventilation and the sun-pads would cover the hatches for the master and guest cabins. The N41 is very manoeuvrable in my opinion as it has twin engines and a bow thruster. I can basically pivot 360 in her own length and she will easily handle tight spaces. I will be installing a wind gauge that will plug in seamless to the Garmin chartplotter. I will also look at a store container on the roof and when causing more permanent, install a water maker - all fitting preinstalled. Let me know if you have any more questions - we will continue our cruising this weekend after a long break due to COVID challenges.

Most of the world’s best yachtsmen currently are from there. Haven’t worked on many superyachts that didn’t have a South African crew member.
