Just bought this bike used today from Laidlaw Los Angeles,,,,exactly the way yours is setup except for it has some cool backrest that folds back for passenger or the rider or passenger/luggage. Fricking LOVE IT!!
$19,000 with only 2,100 miles on it.

John thank you for ALL your videos. I just bought a 2018 Rgs and was wondering about the dreaded transmission clunk when shifting thru the gears..
Could you address this on a new video? I had heard Harley had removed that "clunk". . but my 2018 has it just as much as my previous 2013 RGS did...

Ape bars look retarded & definately take away from your ability to be able to control it in an emergency situation.
The drivers around here are so bad even the motorcycle cops are being ran over by them,so reaction time is critical here.

Have you ever seen the tender cable come wired backwards from the manufacturer? My buddy bought a 2017 Road Glide new last year and it was wired backwards. I dig the videos man keep it up!

+Tom A they are stage 1 speakers on the specials. Standard speakers on the standard models. I used iMovie for this video, but have since gotten Final Cut Pro. Thanks for watching!
Great Video's John, Just wondering what model Canon did you use for this video?
I use a canon 80d. I film in 1080p 30 frames per second. The shots of the bike in the parking lot I actually switched to 60fps and then went 1/2 speed in post. This was my first time using slow motion. Glad you're enjoying the videos. Thanks so much for watching!

As expensive as they HDs are, the other brands are just as expensive. A new Indian is insanely expensive.

Hell yeah I've been waiting for them to come out with all black touring bikes. I think I'm going to wait a little bit for the Milwaukee 8 to get the Kinks out of it. Hey John how is the Road Glide with beard lift? On my 14 Street Glide my beard is all over the place it is about your length they said they worked on the front fairing to eliminate that but it did not do shit. Just wondering because I will be picking up a Road Glide next and just wondering what your thoughts were on that. I do have the front fangs on the forks and the side deflectors on the fairing but I still get wind coming up from underneath not as bad but it's still blowing me around where the kids in a school bus get a good laugh. LOL... Thanks for the video brother they are great keep up the good work.
+Speedy Speed honestly I test ride all the bikes wearing a full face. Has to be DOT and all that fun stuff for work. So my take on the wind isn’t too accurate. The road glide is definitely a smooth motorcycle. Once you go fixed fairing, you never go back! Thanks for the positive feedback. More videos are definitely coming!
I have this bike----gotnit made in chrome as i love chrome. My question is what slip on exhaust do you recommend? Was thinking about going with 4inch Rinehart. ...used to have them on my road king

14 in apes what is best set for this bike
I have a FXDLS manufactured in 2016 and my dam cruise control doesn't always work its insane is this maybe normal? Or should I take this in for them to fix
+Michael Camacho if it’s under warranty, let them fix it. Couple of things to check is brake lights functioning correctly, and if you have a “get back whip” on the brake lever, I’ve seen them close the brake switch and cancel cruise. Let me know what you figure out!

Is the luggage rack mounted backwards? It looks kind of strange.
That’s the way the go. They look really weird, but it’s quick detach. So without a bag, you just remove it.

+H Smith most of the video happens off the clock. That’s why they aren’t super in depth while I’m working. Pretty much all parking lot shots are lunch break or after work. I️ still have to “make time” on the job. Was the heel/ toe shifter all stupid looking? I’m usually better about that!

Newer videos will include rides. I’ve just recently gotten a GoPro and helmet and all that stuff needed for the ride portion.
can i forego the dealer prep charge and remove the labels myself lol. i've had my eyes on the new road glides for awhile now and have been licking my chops ever since. been watching the reviews and haven't heard any bad comments yet. except for the whiney ones that don't ride much.
haha, it would be cool to save a couple hundred off the bike for you setting it up! We do a fair amount of technical stuff, too, though. I just had more fun showing off the label removal. The Road Glide is definitely my favorite touring bike. I've certainly ridden them all. Thanks for watching!
if you buy one make sure your audio is covered by warranty one of my brothers bought a 2017 and radio went out right after and HD told him tough shit
Matthew Clifford have a 2015 road glide special, my radio went out, harley replaced it under warranty. I don't know what your borther had an issue with.

They are the HD ones. Not entirely sure if there is even an option other than chrome vs black. I'll take a look once I'm back at work.
Are the bars the same bars as are on the standard Road Glide in terms of height?

Not a fan of the white. First thing that comes to mind is the popo. Then the second is a good humor logo on the side with a paper hat. VIVID BLACK. Bad ass.
