Hi! I just wanted to say, that changing your registry can give your computer damage. I personally don't recommend this, but if you want to try this out make sure to make a registry backup, so if it doesnt work you can change it back to it's original state. Also, the DNS server he typed in is the one from google, which won't make a difference. This means this video wasnt really helpful

I think it worked for me, I went from having 2k - 3k ping to 100 - 300 on my windows 10, but does it work on windows 7 ??? i just separated the seven from the question marks because the 7 sorta blends in with the them ;-;

There is really no way to actually lower your ping except for moving closer to the server of whatever game you are playing. A better internet connection such as fiber could lower ping by a small amount but distance from the servers is what makes your ping bad. If you are in NA and playing on EU servers there is absolutely nothing you can do to lower your ping. You are always going to have 6-10 times higher ping than anyone playing on that server so you have a huge disadvantage. Anyone who claims this actually works is a liar. People put videos up like this then buy paid services to boost the video having fake accounts post good comments and give the video thumbs up so they can attract other people to it. Do a little research about networking and you will find all the information you need about how ping works.

Your default dns is chosen by your internet service provider, which is dependent on where you live. So some people might get higher ping, some may get lower, because they maybe either farther away or closer to the dns server. He was using google's open dns server, which is optimized to operate different regions and territories. LinusTechTips explains DNS servers, so if this doesnt work for you go ahead and check that video.
1100 ping is the max ping. meaning that the reason you probably have bad ping is cuz of your internet. so you shouldn't have expected this to fix your internet.

i think in the newest version of windows they removed the parameters folder in msmq, considering the fact that the parameters folder in this video looks exactly like the msmq folder that most of u just see (has same default, REG_SZ), im not sure, but thats what i think, so maybe thats y its not showing up for anyone

Basically my problem is that I live in Portugal and have a constant ping of 60 - 120 ping even though I use a lan cable, which isn't that bad considering the ping of some people. It depends on the game some games force you to crap servers that your not close to so you get bad pings no matter what like pubg for instance it connecets me to virginia servers with 40-60 something ms ping ohio servers i get like 20-30ms ping but it picks virginia no matter what i do i made firewall rules blocking those other servers and I edited hosts files to block them nothing works.

If the "Parameters" folder isn't showing up in the "MSMQ" folder, simply right-click on the "MSMQ" and make a New "Key". Name it: "Parameters" and that should solve the issue. It sure did for me! :)

You don't know what you're doing. If you're connected via ethernet it's gonna create a new MAC for that adapter, which can make 2 folders (subkeys) with loads of data in it. To properly find this out open cmd and run the command "getmac" then compare the MAC adress and modify the one you're using currently

Hello everyone. So, I've been on forums and what not but that didn't resolve my problem one bit, so, here I am. Basically my problem is that I live in Portugal and have a constant ping of 60 - 120 ping even though I use a lan cable, which isn't that bad considering the ping of some people. All my friends and people I've talked to also have this problem. Is fibre optic cable what I should consider. It's really annoying and I hope you can help. Thank you, have a great day.

I have a question, i currently have my pc connected wireless and i keep getting low ping on games, im planning to buy a router and set it on my room so i can connect it via ethernet , will this make my ping lower or am i gonna be wasting my money?

It depends on the game some games force you to crap servers that your not close to so you get bad pings no matter what like pubg for instance it connecets me to virginia servers with 40-60 something ms ping ohio servers i get like 20-30ms ping but it picks virginia no matter what i do i made firewall rules blocking those other servers and I edited hosts files to block them nothing works.

If the "Parameters" folder isn't showing up in the "MSMQ" folder, simply right-click on the "MSMQ" and make a New "Key". Name it: "Parameters" and that should solve the issue. It sure did for me! :)

You don't know what you're doing. If you're connected via ethernet it's gonna create a new MAC for that adapter, which can make 2 folders (subkeys) with loads of data in it. To properly find this out open cmd and run the command "getmac" then compare the MAC adress and modify the one you're using currently
