“Welcome to Melbourne, it’s the middle of summer but it’s pouring rain and it’s cold” sums it up perfectly lol

All you need to know is Let's Ojj
It’s actually so great to see people like the Gym Owner and the Aboriginal Community Centre give these kids from disadvantaged areas a positive place to connect and grow.
And honestly, the people in the video seemed really nice. Says a lot about Melbourne when even the quote on quote most dangerous hood has a lot of smiling faces.
Yeah they just say that shit for clicks. I grew up in Dandenong and was always told how bad it was and people thought I was stabbed and shot. It was bad but never as bad as what people say.
Yeah Dandy is more dangerous than most of Melbourne but that's a pretty high bar. Nowhere near as dangerous as people think.
There is nothing I saw on this video that makes me think Dendenong is dangerous. Its just a click bait title.
@@timothykahil8007 Yeah true, Dandy and Doveton were BAD in the 70's. Now meh.
You find in the hoods some of the best people on the planet. They’ve lived a hard life and went through so much in their lives that they are respectful and don’t judge people on face value but look for trouble and you can find it very easily. The togetherness in rough communities is second to none.
Whenever i meet rich people, they are so entitled its not even funny. But in the hood, you'll meet some interesting people l
This is a double sided blade, some act like they are good people just to fuck you while usually the "good" ones you dont see on the streets
I grew up in Doveton and Dandenong - went to Dandy High in the 90's... I used to walk home from Dandy station home to Doveton at night, as a young teenager - I learnt to be stealth! I came from shit home life - both parents always in trouble with the cops, in and out of jail for my mum... but I kept to myself, head down, and worked my arse off to get out of the cycle of poverty, and I did but it took hard work to prove I was not a product of my environment. Growing up in these suburbs teaches you to be resilient and you never forget where you come from, and pushes you to work harder to ensure you never return. Thank you Spanian and hopefully you can help those realise Crime is never the answer!
good stuff bro. yeah, sold out house in dovey a few years back and just sold my dandy house in december, waiting for setttlement and then i'm finally outta here baby. this vid is depressing to me but at the same time i couldn't stop watching it.
Good job! But I am woman... more reasons to be stealth! But I never encountered any issues... maybe whatever my mother did - had me pinned not to be touched by anyone haha. Good luck with the move!
So true mate
I also hung around slums of doveton .
And many guys ended up in either jail or died from drug overdoses .
But so many also became very successful business people and hard workers that went in to have amazing lives.
But I don’t see this generation having as many people leading good lives in the future or becoming good citizens or role models to their own kids .
Good on you!! It's people like YOU who need to be this new generations role models. You should be so proud of yourself. I was very lucky to grow up in a rural area so there wasn't much trouble I could get into.....cow tipping??!! You are a bloody legend and make this world a better place! Peace and Love

I love how no matter what hood he goes to he always has a crowd following him no matter how far they walk thats respect 💯
just putting an eye on these places and have everyone be seen and heard is a powerful thing because nobody else wants to hear or see. big respect.
It doesn't make any positive changes so it's pointless unfortunately
It's for views, clicks and money 😂. Much respect? Okay

@@longpal times like that l wish l had something other than an iphone cause half the times l forget my card 😂

To be fair; the other East Coast states are bank card based these days. The tap on cards are very pre 2010...
but you have to pay for the card again, thats shit. Opal cards in sydney are free, just gotta pay to throw money on there and can do the same thing if it gets into negatives@@bradleydrew2013

Well said Lucy👌

Why is it hard sitting at home on the dol, not cleaning or looking after anything
@@davidl3864 uneducated, ignorant comments like this are the exact point of my comment. You have NO IDEA what traumas people have been through, especially within a family unit, the only home a child has. You also clearly have no idea of the affects this has on the mental health and the experiences other people deal with. People don’t want to be in a cycle of suffering. It’s exactly this kind of judgement that makes change seem impossible.
I was born in dandy and lived and worked there for years. Never a dull moment in my old home town. 😂
Were you there when the old Walting Matilda pub and the underpass near Dandy station were there. That place was BAAAD then, the underpass used to have so many bashings, robberies and rapes. They had to clean that place up.
Your videos really touch my heart. Thanks for showing the connection in the community and how the street life is filled with genuine people. Love your videos
I enjoy these videos more than any TV show or anything on Netflix ect, legend lad
This lads channel is cooked 😂
As do I. The lesson here is that if you want respect from society, you need to become an unrepentant violent criminal, do your time in prison and then build up your social profile and following by telling stories about how you terrorised innocent people.
Un-ironically I have more respect for Spanian than I do towards those who arrested him.
@@brendonlowndes22respect comes from hard work without bitching not taking from innocent people.

@@Dave-ss5pk In an ideal world a person who puts their life on the line in serving their country should be respected more than anyone. Your such an inspiration span. From where you came from to where you are now brother. That's solid. The amount of people who follow you and know who you are is mad respect.

I love to see a community that holds its self accountable.
Boxing & mma is great for boys to start while young! It builds strength, character, confidence, discipline, and lots more. Good to see young boys enjoying themselves & working hard!
I grew up in Dandenong and the street we lived in was known for Drugs…so many drug houses and cops in the street constantly, but our street had some of the nicest people too, community just trying to keep everyone safe and even try to help some of the addicts get clean and try to do better, no judgement.
I’ll always have fond memories of Dandy. Being so multicultural, kind and funny people , shout out Dandy Primary School and Dandy High, the market, the weirdos and the bums outside the plaza, the hidden food spots, etc etc Dandy has character (bad and good), Dandenong represent 😆🙌🏾
Jimmy's kebabs with the 16 buck massive HSPs haha
But yeah my nan lives on Menzies. Has for 60 years. Commission too. Her house is in the video but I won't say which.
I also currently live in one of the bording houses in this video too. Not the one shown but the same owner and I have friends at that one.
But ya dead right. Bunch of people legit banding together through rough times. Most of the people not on Ice are solid. And nearly all of the weed smokers are chill.
Even that guy who asked for a light. He's a character. He was born in the south of America during Segregation. Like Lousisiana/New Orleans
He is disabled and lives at an assisted living place on the street they walked down.
He actually smokes weed like a MFer and everytime he sees me asks if I got some.
I occasionally roll a joint and chill with him. He's a super nice guy. His name is Flowers lol
He's seen a whole other world to us man. He talk about Dandenong like its paradise compared to where he come from.

Dandenong is a shell of itself 80s 90s was rocking and rolling
100%
South Melbourne and Port Melbourne, in particular Garden City had mad crews in those days too. The Oakleigh W@&$ too. Times have changed. Everyone respected 3174 & 3175 in those days though.
It's like that in most former places like Dandenong. Nothing comes close to the 1980's & 90's, everywhere it was pumping. Plenty work of all sorts, earning was easier, lots of cash everywhere as everything was cash based, les coppers, less technology, no camera's & CCTV everywhere, less alarms & security, less restrictive laws, people punched on instead of stab or shoot, there was still a criminal code of ethics that every crim learnt first & then lived by. Crews stuck solid & could trust each other, & had each other's back without saying. There was no crack or bupe back then , that makes shells of former good men like today. It was a different time & completely different men back then. Now the ice & bupe epidemic & it's mental health partner have pervaded all aspects of community, society, humanity & life. Now it seems that everywhere you look we are dealing with & nursing some spinner in psychosis or a crackhead who think's he's God or some devil, a good earn today is sneako - ing an old lady & snatching her handbag or Peter thieving from your best mate, or back door him😳. Or bashing your missus or mother, these crimes are sweet today, & even a putrid teller or scotcher is ok if he's whacking up!!. Still in the 70's, 80's & 90's that sort of shit did not fly , the shit men were found out quickly & the rest left were all good solid men, most of the time!. A gangster was a gentleman, not a crack head or hard talking face tattooed 40 kg skeleton who walks with a bigger bridge than Sydney Harbour bridge & tells the whole world how he has killed a hundred people & bashed everyone from Mike Tyson to every champion in every field , he has got them all😂. That's today, compared to the 80's & 90's, different world & different people!!. Them two decades were definitely the last of the Mohicans, shout out to all the boys who run in the 80's & 90's👍❤️.

Doveton was so different back in the 70's and 80's. Changing so much now, the old houses are being knocked down. Looking better bit by bit but erasing the memories of old neighbours that used to live there. I found out a few years back where Mr Baldy lived, Ti Tree Drive in Doveton, I used to walk past his house in the 70's, dam I shudder to think how close I possibly came to being a victim of his.......

Hes a real G for admitting his truths and acknowledging his addiction. Hope you get clean one day bro i hope next time I see you you're doing a lot better 🙏
Me too. I respect that he told it like it is. Those brick homes are really nice for govt homes. Our First Nations are given more than enough money to fix all those issues themselves! Their living in squalor is a choice plain and simple.
We know how lucky we are that's why in Aussie society we dunk on old mates who don't pay taxes it's seen as unmanly you can't pay any money for better roads, parks, schools and helping bush fire animals that got burnt not saying it's good system but it mostly holds together it seems like tax dollars are being misappropriated more in other countries definitely still happens in Aus though aswell
