And it all began with "I wondered if you could use a chain stitch with a singer zigzagger..." 🙂 I really like the way your mind works. Very interesting video! Thanks for sharing your adventures!
This makes me think of old-fashioned "samplers". The number of combinations you'd be able to get out of that must huge - especially if you have all 16 stitch pattern cams for the zigzagger... It would be one very large sampler indeed if you tried out every combination! I can't help but be curious what else it might do. :-)
Hello! I have a question about the Singer 431G that you might know. I am not able to control the speed in a good way. It goes from 0 to 100 too fast. Do you recommend to change the foot control or could it be something else (the motor?). Appreciate your videos. :)
There is a capacitor in some of the foot controllers which fails over time. Changing the foot controller and/or removing the capacitor will help. In youtube, type in Sewing Machine Running by Itself - Singer Foot Controller Fix and it will show you the capacitor. Or you can buy one of the electronic foot controllers and change it over.

Brilliant! You've basically made a Vigorelli Fantasy out of a Singer 431 plus zigzagger.

Hi James, Thank you for showing this, I am going to look and see if the Singer Zigzagger I have is a slant model or not to try this,
