It's funny this video comes up today. Earlier I was at the pasture I rent pumping water for my cattle. And a pickup comes flying by towing a large dump trailer. It sounded like he was hauling a giant squirrel that was chirping. I said to myself he isn't going to make it very far with wheel bearings squeaking that loud.
@@warrenmichael918 yeah he’s trying to rebuild his old subscribers base but I don’t think 🤔 he’s going to make it work second time around!!!! I watched him on last channel coming apart!!!
@@vernt4583 I think if he keeps the political stuff out of it, he might be ok. People liked his channel but he kinda went off the edge with his political stuff and that turns people and youtube off. I say political but i think it was a little deeper stuff he was ranting on about. I think i see where he was going and what a few of his beliefs are and as much as i dont align with that side of him, i still like his videos.
It might only go a few miles an hour, but it does it for 8-12 hours a day, for weeks on end, carrying 1,000's of pounds, over rough terrain... So yeah, proper maintenance counts.
Large round wood dowel, or fresh cut end of an old hickory axe handle. Poke through front of hub and knock bearing and seal out through the back. If you do it right, you can re-use the seal,,, if it's in good shape. Just use a thin coating of gasket sealer, for the outer part of seal, to hub.🎯😎☕
Most Ag hubs I’ve dealt with all have a grease fitting on the outside of the hub so you don’t have to spend an hour repacking the hub and replacing the seal. Should’ve drilled and tapped a hole in the hub between the bearings and grease it up.
When you do it the way he did it in the video, you clean out all the nasty crap in the bearing and get it nice and clean. If you just grease the bearing buddys, you just add more grease to the filthy grease. Bearing buddys are great but also, wheel assemblies should be taken apart and cleaned like this once in a while. But definitely nothing wrong with the grease fitting to keep it nice and lubricated over time.

That JT6 grease is good stuff.
Thank you, this is exactly what I needed!

you need to get a parts washer like steve has
Repacked hundreds of old style auto wheel bearings like this using a bearing repacker so much easier and less messy.
💯👍
It’s easier to leave the tire on and just pull the nut off and pound out bearings from front side
🌎🌞😊👍👍👍
Get a grease needle. Just stick it between roller bearings and pump grease in the hub
I'm from the future...Your bumper mount ruins his truck...b
Non chlorinated brake clean, green can.
Red can is chlorinated, makes poison gas. Mustered. When welding.
I have the same exact tire inflator till with the same black zip tie to hold fuel the lever!!!
