I have one of those “pod” shaped carriers. I completely disagree on several accounts. They have ventilation on the front entrance, the back and top also windows which have privacy flaps as does the front “entrance”. They are not heavy. The shell is rip stop nylon the ribs are made of nylon and flexible. There is a base made of a rigid foam and a soft foam egg crate pad inside. It also has loops on either side which can be used to secure the carrier with a seatbelt in the car. It has short loop straps to carry with your hand and a removable shoulder strap as well. It also has a clasp that can be used to prevent the zipper opening from being opened if you have a little Houdini. 😊
Hi, nice video. I was actually thinking about buying a backpack for my cat. Reasons for that is that my cat feels more secure when higher up. Having his carrier securely fixed on top of my carry-on would be a good option, too. I could wheel it and would just have to take it apart on security and when boarding. Lika a beauty case that is slipped over the handle bars, but I haven't seen any construction like that and doubt there is one on the market.
Many pet carriers designed for cats have a luggage strap that can be put ontop of your wheeled carryon. No disassembly required. The BurgeonNest and Sherpa bags for example have luggage straps
Do you use the large BurgeonNest one? We’re getting ready for fly with our pup soon. He’s only 10lbs, but pretty tall (and long.) I got the Sherpa Large to try, and while I can tell he’s comfortable, I’m afraid they’re going to say he doesn’t fit. He refuses to stand up fully inside of it. We’re flying Alaska, so I’m curious about taller options like the BurgeonNest, or possibly the Katziela.
Awesome info thank you ❤
I agree with everything you've said. Thank you.

hi. have you tried using ibiyaya jet paw 3 in 1 pet carriers for long flights?

Also, what carrier is the last one you show in the video with the pupper in the red sweater going to Vermont? Thanks!
@@jessib3202 you will not have any problems with these carriers on Alaska Airlines. But if want a bit more room the Large BurgeoNest is a great option
@@jessib3202 that is the Katziela
@@purplepup Awesome! Thanks so much for your videos and help.
