Well if it's on duty then yeah, they kinda have a right if they need too. Off duty, idk they might be doing drills in the store, like training. But you never know really

K. Mun yes but most people are unaware of what a service dog even is. For me I was lucky to learn about it in school but I was basically told that service dogs were only for the blind and only years later I learn that there’s so much more than that after going around UA-cam which I only discovered all of this by coincidence because I’m obsessed with dogs then I got more and more into it and now I’m realizing that I need to shut up because nobody cares.

I had a security guard at a hospital tell me my son couldn’t take his dog in. Uhhh, yes he can and yes we are. Mind you this guy was a supervise and he said he was told by his boss. I told him his boss was WRONG and I handed him a card with the law on it. Come to find out this guy had did the same thing to our trainer and her dog. @@Ducky2964 Ooh gosh sorry that y'all had to have that happen to you especially to you son. When will people find the time to atleasst learn a litte about service dogs.
Dragon Eye Lunar thank you. I think the important thing is that strong handlers/teams like Lexi continue to educate. The way that she and her other friends who have SD will go to various places and educate is very important. Kinda like the Wal-Mart access issue her one friend had several times. It was good that as a group they went and the even bigger is that Lexi is so strong and she wasn’t afraid to speak up and educate. Absolutely no disrespect to her friend that kept having the access issue.
Walkie talkie Noah & Amanda Rose. Correct, that is discrimination, malls are not above any law, not even the police are above the law for any given reason if you didn’t know that already. Service Dogs are important for many reasons, to being blind, or for seizures, or emotional support. Not letting any service dogs in your mall would be 1. Disgusting 2. Rude 3. (Bad for business, and 4. Just overall dumb, if you didn’t get the *hint* already. :/
@@walkietalkienoah That is so discriminatory! Blind people have seeing eye dogs so they can get around safely and people with anxiety need support dogs/animals so they don't have serious anxiety attacks. These people NEED the dogs so they are safe and healthy just because no dogs is a rule doesn't mean there aren't exceptions. Like you should keep a promise/secret is a general rule but if the promise/secret is unsafe then you need to tell someone if you can't help yourself. If your mother tells you to stay in the house until she gets back from the store, well what if there is danger in the house should you still stay inside the house? No you should get out and call someone that is able to help sure it is unlikely something dangerous does happen or get in but that is still an exception. There are ALWAYS exceptions to rules
@@walkietalkienoah not necessarily some dogs need to be trained a lot more then others and just because they are in training doesn't mean the person does not need the dog.
This is meant as no disrespect at all. I am disabled veteran with a service dog. I need Diesel as much as he needs me. I wonder if some of the employees questioned about the dog because the girl with the long black hair. Picked up her service dog and ran down the aisle. That could draw unwanted questions as to why this person needs a dog and if it's a real SD.i know I'll get blasted for this. I'm use to it I have a 80lbs grey Pitbull service dog
yea when me and my service dog are working she is NOT allowed to mess around she must be on task until we get home and its annoying when their service dog plays with vests on. off vest I understand but this is why they seem fake
This is it. In some of her videos her and her friends are goofing off with their service dogs. I don’t think we’re given the full story 👎 People have called her out before for this. I think some places don’t see them as being real service dogs because they aren’t treating their dogs as such.
Hello, I have a question for all of you that have service dogs .. do other dogs (non-service dogs) distract your service dog? I don't have one nor do I need one, but I'm just curious.
In the uk the legislation basically goes like this- dogs have no access rights but a person with a disability has the right to take medical equipment (I.e. a dog) anywhere they go, with the exception of sterile areas (surgical theatre) and areas of food preparation (restaurant kitchens). My dogs training harness/vest is small (she’s nearly outgrown it and am getting her one to fit her now she’s fully grown) and a couple times staff have approached (nicely) seen her vest/lead and then been nice and apologised for interrupting me and been like “I didn’t see the vest from over there, but I can now, sorry to bother you” our local supermarket door guy knows us and always says hi, which is nice and lessens my anxiety about other (new) staff access issues I know I can say the security guy knows us. First time he met us he approached us, not with access issues but to chat, ask what she was training for, and asked what to do if she got help/attention. Really nice bloke
Hey guys, glad you are enjoying the video, I’ve been seeing a lot of comments regarding me playing with the dogs and how that is not okay. While I understand all of your points, what we were doing was part of the training. All of the dog except Dakota were in training in the video. That being said (I forgot to add text describing what we were doing I was in a rush to get the video out) we were practicing getting the dogs excited and then having them snap back into work mode. We had just spoken to security about the access issue and had asked. This was also done while the mall was closing. For those of you that don’t understand why what we were practicing with the dogs in that clip is important, please allow me to explain. Every now and then handlers do allow their dogs to play, whether that be indoors or outdoors. Teaching the dog that it’s okay to play and get crazy, but as soon as the handler wants them to get back into work mode they need to do so. This way they learn better self control. This is not done all the time. This was the one and I toy time they were allowed to do this in a non pet friendly place. It is all about teaching those puppies (yes all are 2 years or younger) better self control while in that type of setting. I hope you guys understand better now. 💞 as for Dakota “misbehaving” it was all for fun for the vlog. It was a skit. We were outside. I allowed her to have a bit of fun and be her spunky self. If I were to change my tone while commanding her, she would have come immediately. That was just us messing around. 😊
is this about your shopping adventure or the service of your dogs? starting to think that you have undermined the value ; INTEGRITY and respect of your dogs by just behaving like THIS::: EVEN AFTER YOUR COMMENT
I am starting to see a lot of people "switch dogs". I have a service dog. He has a few backup handlers that are safe for him to listen to. And no I would never just go here is my dog; Walk him around the store. Let's switch for funsies... in an emergency If I am unconscious if you took my dog's leash he won't bite, jump, or anything bad. But he doesn't need a flawless heel or need to "work" for the stranger... so I don't understand wanting someone else to give commands to your service dog. think it was inappropriate to let the other girl's dog jump all over you inside the mall.. I'm all for letting service dogs have off duty time and play time.. but that honeslty looked really bad in the mall.. you have a lot of followers and that behavior is NOT okay in public and people will copy that and start saying "oh yeah my dog is jumping all over me knocking me on the floor but he's working dont worry".
I think they are faking a lot of this because I 100% agree switching dogs is not okay. A dog is tasked to one handler. If backup handler like in your situation knows the commands and it's an emergency, ablsolutely no problem. However in this situation being in the mall and having a dog jump around is wrong because if it was real, she would know that they are to be on duty at all times when in public. Job is to be invisible to public, visible to the handler. This puts a bad name on all those who truly need them because if they see something like this as you say they begin questioning.
@@ActualReality86 lol yes. And my backups honeslty only know how to walk my dog and give him food. Since he is poison proofed to not eat from strangers... so he only knows how to walk on a Leash with them, not run away, get in the car, and not act a fool. Lol but he certainly won't "work" for them. He is my service dog.. so it just really makes no sense to me what these people are doing. Why would you want YOUR service dog to listen to anyone but you? Makes no sense to me.
@Angels Forever here the dog was anything but calm. It knocked her onto the ground... it was jumping all over the place. My SD is trained not to jump on people and not to pull on a leash. In an emergency a stranger could walk up and grab his leash and he wouldn't freak out. But I don't want a stranger to walk up when my dog is in a down/stay and them recall him and steal him. Or command him to sit. Or give him food and him take it. He is trained to ignore people not listen to them.
@Angels Forever here Not to mention anything but calm she was running with the dog acting like a fool. She also left her dog and cursed WHEN there were children there. Another thing: If there is an emergency they are NOT to go grab the leash they are to follow.
@Angels Forever here if I fall, my service dog is trained by voice command to "find help". If I hit my head and cannot speak. His default is a down/stay on top of my body... not sure how many people you know passing out on busy roads... I tend not to walk in the middle of the road though?? Also.. he is not spooked by traffic. It is part of their training to be calm around traffic... Also.. she was in a mall/store. Not the road. So where is the road scenario coming from? 😂
To be fair though 18:14 a service dog is there to do a job and when you're in a store, they are on duty. Acting like this is just wrong for both the establishment and the dog
I completely agree and it's awful what they're doing to the poor dogs. They must be so confused about their training if you let them play in the middle of a store like that
The dog is in training and has rights in public to train under Florida law. He is learning how to re-engage after a fun/exciting encounter. And permission was granted from security, and it was in a slow area right before closing.
Hayley Cook A big thing is the public perception and the blatant hypocrisy of her. She blasts essentially anyone in public with a dog while her and her banshee friends can make whatever spectacle with their dogs. The amount of entitlement is insane. There is a reason an insane amount of her videos are of public access issues - because she is looking for issues.
I have not seen a comment about this, we didn’t really put it in the video, but it was closing time, we wanted to practice, goofing off, and then switching back into work mode. The Newfie was a very good example!
So im a 7th grader with PTSD so i need my service dog because he alerts me when i pass out sooo i walked into this store, and i have you know that my dog has her vest on that says service dog. Please dont pet. Trained dog. Things Liked that. So the place said i cant bring dogs in here. I said its my service dog they said you still cant bring dogs in here still. So i was like i need this dog to live, so i dont pass out, so i got an attitude, saying fine ill take my dog out and ill stay here without her but if i die, than my family will make sure to charge you! So they let me have my dog ;-; im never saying you should get an attitude but i mean Oh I sometimes do because I feel offended when I can’t bring a service dog that is trained into a building so that’s the only reason why I got an attitude. But Seriously people really need to educate their selves on service dogs because one day they’re going to tell a service dog to get out then the person’s gonna have like some type of an attack or medical problem and they’re going to be like oh I didn’t know when they were trying to tell them and it’s going to end out in a lawsuit.
Hey Lexie, it’s Jojo from Snoodle Noodle Doodles!! I emailed you about your stickers shipping out and haven’t heard from you to confirm they made it to you. I’m thinking the email got moved out of your inbox somehow so I thought the next best method of contacting you would probably be commenting lol. Working with you on this line of stickers has been so much fun!!
Hey question about when you were letting them play in the store, no judgement just trying to educate/clarify. I was under the impression that service dogs have to be on their best behaviour in public/while working so I was just a bit curious why you were encouraging the play in the store and the zoomies in the mall as oppose to correcting the behaviour? I mean don’t get me wrong I know you have to let them be dogs sometimes but is it appropriate in that setting?
Aimi Dej no its not. Do not under any circumstances follow her example of how a sd should act. They always need to be behaved and immediately corrected if they do that. Stuff like that should be done at a dog park or something.
Aimi Dej the dogs that were playing around had their vests of so technically they weren’t working and they were in a dog store which they generally allows dogs to play around with the toys and each other
@@madisonriley6081 no they didnt. when that newfie was jumping around in the mall it still had its working harness on and even if it was off if its in a public space where only sd's are allowed they shouldnt be doing that anyways
Technically they shouldn’t let them act like that but in an instant any of them could have said a single command and they would be heeling at their side and attentive.
Am I just the luckiest person ever when it comes to Walmart? I work my dog unvested and sometimes with no leash wraps or indication of being a service dog, and I don't ever get crap from my local Walmart. And my SD is a pit. lol Sure I've seen my fair share of ESA out and about there, but that's pretty much it.
Am I the only one really confused? Although I know they’re real service dogs SHE has multiple videos calling out other people for their service dogs while she’s screaming and playing with hers ? Like I understand service dogs are dogs too but not in a public place like a mall !? She just contradicts herself imo
I think she just likes to confront people to get attention. How sad. But she seriously needs to learn to be considerate of others in public. Hogging a one stall restroom so she can show her level of entitlement, while some poor woman could be having a serious problem beyond making a snobby video or applying cheap mascara is not only narcissistic, its downright rude. Then acting like a moron with a bunch of other screaming idiots in the mall, all while saying, it's a service dog is the most anti service dog thing I have ever seen. I see dogs in my local WalMart sometimes by the dozens, and I never complain that they aren't service dogs. Why? Because they are well behaved dogs that are not jumping all over the place. In this video, the Pit Bull was the only calm dog in the bunch! These girls give service dogs everywhere a bad name. They should do another video. One that contains an apology to every TRUE service dog owner. Just because you bought a vest that says "Service Dog" on it, doesn't means you are qualified to take your pets in public. And yes, I do think these dogs are pets, but the Pit Bull, and it's owner are much more believable. Well done for them both!
Because if someone else in public has a service dog Trying to play with hers then it's not a fucking Service dog. It's a pet Trying to be passed off as one. Service dogs don't play unless commanded to. She can get mad all she wants Because her dog is Medical Alert and if another bitches dog makes max miss an alert Because it's fucking barking at him then Lexie gets hurt. She has every right to be pissed.
Nah Im confused too, like I get it that service dogs are allowed 'anywhere' but like you can't just go into a store and be like "no its allowed its allowed." Its kinda just stright up entitlement. [If what im saying doesnt make sense im sorry]
Streamy Sudz But she’s the one following them? I’ve seen 1 video of her where a dog clearly wasn’t a service dog. The rest she got annoyed for no reason other then it being small or something childish like that?
Honestly, the absolute GALL of some people. My mom works with a lady who thinks it's okay to harass and ridicule people with disabilities because her son is disabled (cerebral palsy). She's known for harassing people with service dogs even after being told they're allowed on many different occasions. She acts like she knows everything about every disability, and ridicules people for their equipment without even knowing them. I'm surprised she hasn't been fired tbh.
Does anybody else get really annoyed when someone chews gum with their mouth opened and it’s super loud...😑 The entire time during the video and it bugged me so much
Ooh yikes I do that... But mostly to distract myself... Idk why I do it. I guess its a habit. Even though I don't know you and I e never done it to you, I'm sorry lol. 🤦
The only thing about it that bothered me was the chewing sounds... I have sensitive ears and "eating" sounds ring loudly in my ears so whenever someome chews their gum or eats with a chewing/wet sound it literally drives me insane
I get bothered with any to do with mouths- saliva, tounges, teeth, and it's extremely disturbing to me when someone chews with their mouth open. It's rude and disgusting. My whole class does and my mom.
That lady that she was talking to is only a manager not an owner and either way owners or managers have no right to not allow service dogs like she said she will be sued if something happened and the dog was no where around and go to jail cuz it’s illegal to not allow the dogs
Maybe pin your explanation so everyone can see it easier? I was a little upset before you did the explanation, and it totally makes sense now. I will say tho that I don't think you should be letting the dogs play with each other in the mall.
@@sayge6668 Agreed. But maybe not in public. I see them let the dogs play in the store in the video. As much as we want people to respect service dogs and the handlers (I have a service dog as well), we also need to be mindful to other people who might not like dogs or allergic to fur.
If you saw others horsing around with their dog like that in public you would say "fake service dog", you seem to choose when and where the circumstances suit you. Home is where they should play. Not ok. I also have a service dog and people like you make it difficult for the rest of us.

Hey Lexie! Can you do a updated service dog gear haul video? I would LOVE that!!! 💕I have a SD and I’m trying to find more gear for her and I watched your last gear haul, but I would love to see an updated version!💕. Your amazing!
I’m sorry but the romping around in public, switching service dogs, and allowing someone else's SD to jump around and rough house play in the mall while supposedly on duty is unacceptable! I am a retired professional service dog trainer and a service dog handler myself and I would have absolutely confronted you on this behavior and I would have had to question whether your SD’s were real because of this behavior. Behavior like this makes SD handlers like myself look bad. If your service dogs are real you should be setting an example and letting you ”so-called” service dogs romp around with each other in public is outrageous! Honestly, I don't blame this woman for telling you that they didn't allow dogs in their store just because of how you girls are behaving with your ”service dogs” and you will continue to have this issue until you change your behavior! I’ve had my service dog for 6 years now and only once have I ever had a public access issue. So that tells me you are behaving inappropriately in public. Please, stop this behavior and start acting like real SD teams or leave your dogs at home!
Emery & Titus-GSD Service dogs Florida allows in training dogs access. Training to re-engage after an exciting experience is part of their training and mall security was on our side and allowed us to do this training :) you could have approached us and questioned us, that’s your right. All of your dogs are beautiful... but that landseer newfoundland is just stunning... I have a st bernard and a German shepherd puppy... It's good that you educate ignorant people... I know you dont need to carry the laws of service dogs but maybe its be less confrontational... but I do see your point of view... x
Ok, yelling f you and skank around a small kid, is not ok... and as a service dog handler, your dog should have listened to both the "high five" command that you had to give 3 times before she listened, and when she was refusing to come off the play equipment. Plus switching dogs with another handler and running down the sidewalk? That effectively stops both dogs from properly doing their jobs... Not trying to hate, but I also have a service dog, and your guy's actions reflect badly on all handlers. Sorry you had access issues, you handled them very well.
Harley Carsten it was all a joke for the vlog, a lot of people don’t get that. We were just playing around. And by switching dogs we practice training if the dog needs to be handled by someone else. The other handler wouldn’t agree if they were feeling bad.
@@lexiegodbout I.., kinda have to agree with OP on this one; from an onlooker's standpoint, it looked really bad for your whole group :/ Like, yeah, maybe you had your reasons for most of what you did, but I don't think any of that *couldn't* have been done away from the eyes of the public. "There's a time and a place for everything," right? If you're going to give your SDs some off-time to play and wrestle, do it outside or at home. Someone could have an anxiety disorder and a fear of dogs, so they don't *have* a SD, and they could mistake the play-wrestling for actual aggression. You never know. If you need to train each other's dogs to be handled by someone else, again, outside would be the best place. It would decrease the stress on you all, it would likely decrease the stress on your dogs, and it would decrease the stress of onlookers. If you want your SDs to be treated as a necessity, make people see that *you* see them as a necessity. They're allowed to be dogs, but not in busy places like that where they need to be alert and on-task... If you make them look like "regular dogs", people may unknowingly approach them as if they were "regular dogs". I'm sure a lot of your viewers would be kinda upset if you flipped the script and snapped, "Um, nO sOrRy tHiS Is mY SeRvIcE DoG!! YoU CaN't pEt tHeM!!" when you were just letting them wrestle and knock their handlers over. Idk. That's just my opinion. Food for thought. My two cents. But what do I know, right? ^^|||
@@lexiegodbout Also, hate to be "that person" buuuut.., it's not a joke if no one's laughing. 🤷♀️ If "a lot of people" missed the joke, then maybe it wasn't a good enough "joke" to qualify as one? All that's left is the action itself at that point...
And y’all wonder why handlers have access issues at Walmart. You went in for a plunger and it took 45 minutes and a bunch of shit you DIDN’T BUY getting hucked around. You want respect, give it - to the employees, the venues, the merch, and YOURSELVES, wtf.
as some allergic to dogs, i have had allergic encounters with service dogs and you know what, we went to the other side of the walkway thing and i was ok. the dog was completely under control and the dog was super sweet. like if youre allergic AVOID THE DOG.
Lexie, I wanted to tell you next time a dog is off-leash and comes to attack your service dog, carry an umbrella that has a push button and point it at the dog, the action of the umbrella opening usually startles the dog and it will snap the dog out of their state of mind. then you can keep the dog from attacking you and your dog. This has helped me very much. Make sure the umbrella is a good one, not those fold-up small umbrellas. I don't have a service dog but used this while taking a walk when I've had an aggressive unleashed dog roaming the neighborhood.

Walkie talkie Noah then that’s not fair to people who could die without the service dog, or to blind people with guide dogs. That’s discrimination.
Walkie talkie Noah Srvice dogs keep people alive! They are aloud,
@@walkietalkienoah That is so discriminatory!
I totally agree with you sir. "Service dog" SMH.... Thank you for your service ❤️
Jade Richardson it doesn’t matter weather you are a teenager or not there is NO excuse and so making up excuses
My dogs training harness/vest is small (she’s nearly outgrown it and am getting her one to fit her now she’s fully grown) and a couple times staff have approached (nicely) seen her vest/lead and then been nice and apologised for interrupting me and been like “I didn’t see the vest from over there, but I can now, sorry to bother you”
our local supermarket door guy knows us and always says hi, which is nice and lessens my anxiety about other (new) staff access issues I know I can say the security guy knows us. First time he met us he approached us, not with access issues but to chat, ask what she was training for, and asked what to do if she got help/attention. Really nice bloke
that’s awesome glad to hear you have a good experience with a place you visit often :)
Hey there, I’m also in the uk and have a (now retired) assistance dog.
They must be so confused about their training if you let them play in the middle of a store like that
I agree I always thought they aren’t suppose to break out of training and get distracted ..
It’s also not a very good representation for other Service Dog handlers. Even when I am in a pet store my SD is in harness.
You can see where the big floof goes from PLAY with Lexie. To SERVICE MAMA as soon as they're told by their owner.
I have not seen a comment about this, we didn’t really put it in the video, but it was closing time, we wanted to practice, goofing off, and then switching back into work mode. The Newfie was a very good example!

ahhhh that’s amazing!! congrats, i hope you and your family are doing well!!
Sometimes you gotta give a bit of attitude!

Although I know they’re real service dogs SHE has multiple videos calling out other people for their service dogs while she’s screaming and playing with hers ?
Like I understand service dogs are dogs too but not in a public place like a mall !? She just contradicts herself imo
no she is ridiculous
"Hungry? Treat? Water?" Leigit how I get my dog to look at me for pictures🤣
Hold a treat in front of them make sure it's off camera
You know its a true service dog when they can go from playing to immediate work mode with no problem.
Who else watched ONLY for the drama in this?(like the parts where people are being stupid and r saying things about the Service animal))
Glossy Panda yesss it’s so annoying
No not really

I know you don't have to answer this but what is it your service dog is specialized in? Anxiety reasons panic attacks? I don't watch often as I should and I'm thinking of getting a service dog when I'm an adult bc nobody is taking the service dog thing seriously for me as a 16 yr old
Lexie has a PTSD service dog
@@crawlingdreams3107 ok great to know! I don't believe I have PTSD but I do have social anxiety like most people and have trouble talking at a high voice and I think that's bc of anxiety I only seem to be good at speaking up when I'm around someone I'm close with or feel comfy with aka my bf and my two friends at school I'm close with in my eyes at least
You guys are to funny. Have a great week. I have missed your videos
I own a service husky and we are so ready for PA. Honestly watching videos of harassment compilations for us handlers so i can prepare myself and my partner for the worst
Hi I remember waching ur feirst vid I just now sub ur so amazing keep doing what u do best thx for making a difference ❤
18:57 IM DYIIIIING my pup throat punches me all the time- we are working on DPT while I’m sitting in a chair but sometimes he gets confused and just socks me in the face 😂😂😂
@@sakuraRyn I was laughing
@@FaybayandRemi You're apparently one of the few. Hope you're proud of yourself 👏👏👏
And y’all wonder why handlers have access issues at Walmart. You went in for a plunger and it took 45 minutes and a bunch of shit you DIDN’T BUY getting hucked around. You want respect, give it - to the employees, the venues, the merch, and YOURSELVES, wtf.
The two dislikes are probably the two people who were harassing them and their service dogs
Love you lexie ,max and Dakota
❤❤❤
Love the intro Lexie! Maxy boy is getting so big, I remember when he was a lil pup🥰
I love watching your videos and the dogs are so beautiful cannot wait for your next video you guys have a great day
Why are you playing around with them and stuff if they are working? I thought service dogs was never supposed to be distracted when working
When its with their owner than even during play they can tell a change.
Dakota is a mood 🤣
as some allergic to dogs, i have had allergic encounters with service dogs and you know what, we went to the other side of the walkway thing and i was ok. the dog was completely under control and the dog was super sweet. like if youre allergic AVOID THE DOG.
Yayy you finally uploaded ❤️
Lexie, I wanted to tell you next time a dog is off-leash and comes to attack your service dog, carry an umbrella that has a push button and point it at the dog, the action of the umbrella opening usually startles the dog and it will snap the dog out of their state of mind. then you can keep the dog from attacking you and your dog. This has helped me very much. Make sure the umbrella is a good one, not those fold-up small umbrellas. I don't have a service dog but used this while taking a walk when I've had an aggressive unleashed dog roaming the neighborhood.
That was a long ass intro but I love it
Casually watching this while making dinner. I’ll finish watching it before I go to bed ☺️ oh my god “that you shouldn’t follow” 😂 I fricken love y’all and y’all’s sarcasm and just... I love y’all 😂
The fact Dakota’s nickname is Kody and my name is Kody is such a huge coincidence-
.
No it's not, lol. There are a bunch of people with names/nicknames/middle names/last names of Kody. This channel is very big, I'm sure there's a lot moe other Kody's in here.
However, ¡I still think it's cute y'all share the same name! 💕
I love how you include clips of them just being dogs. Playing and goofing alot of people always assume that service dogs have poor quality of life all work no play pole up butt. Loved seeing both sides in this video!!!
