Oh to dream about a sandbox mode where I can test any character with any gear lvl, relic lvl, mods, no mods, omega's , no omega's, zeta's, no zeta's, omicrons, no omicrons, yknow, the works. And the grand jewel of never having to deal with any type of modifier. The thought of it being permanent and not locked behind energy use. But sadly, they can't make money off such a mode, soo....we're condemned to only ever dream about it.
The game is almost 10 years old and were just now getting this. Guess we gotta wait another 10 years for a friends/inter-guild vs feature.

I've been playing the game since nearly the start and I was hoping the video was about them adding a sandbox mode :(
Unless they can figure out a way how that will make them money I have accepted that is never going to happen. Will be very surprised if a sandbox happens in this game. They've already said in the past they thought about it and they don't want to do stuff that makes no sense financially for them. :(

Easy solution for making money off sandbox. Small xtal fee for each battle. 10 xtals for example. People will treat that as basically free, but it will add up over time to deplete xtals so they buy more. That's why micro transactions make so much money. They feel relatively painless to consumer but add up over time.
As a streamer of GAC, specially one who has suffered so many BlueStacks crashes and decided to play GAC using my phone, I'm SO grateful about this. This can help us, the SWGOH Community, have a better experience if we're playing on PC and hopefully we won't have to worry about an emulator crashing or anything like this

@@AhnaldT101the only way I'd see them implementing sandbox mode would be a 300~crystals per attempt. So you can test a character a few times for a fraction of the price before doubling down on the character

now *natively* remains to be seen. It genuinely would not surprise me if they just emulate it on their end and publish it on PC. I would personally be surprised if it is a native port, that takes a lot more effort, and that effort doesn't seem justified considering just how small the PC demand for this game probably is.
Imagine if there is a bug which wipes your progress if you use this and a mobile client. Actually don't need to imagine it, I bet that bug already exists.

Despite not playing for a week I am looking forward to seeing this because then I could just slap the game on my second desktop page(?) and flip to it randomly when I feel like it without it hindering anything (aka having to load it between checking my todo list on my phone)
We'll see if it allows me to enjoy the game again.

I thought the title was hinting at a sandbox mode, I guess one step at the time.
If things just show up cuz we're talking about it, how about some store refreshing. Being able to refresh characters in the different stores would be a nice help
I'm glad I don't need bluestacks anymore. The game is in need of a graphics update but this is a step in the right direction with higher resolution. I wonder if the webstore will be integrated into the PC version so I don't constantly have to log in on the website!

2 things that still need to come to make this game better and not an absolute drag.
1. A open x amount slider for bronzium packs especially when you have too many ally’s points to know what to do with.
2. Ships need to be 2x (apart from new ships) how can mods, characters be 2x to sim but they’ll never touch ships to make them easier farmable.
The reason they won't do that because it will ruin the game They made characters 2x farmable because there's over 200 characters or 264 to be exact compare that to having only 60+ ships in the game,everyone would unlock every ship in the game fairly quickly,you have to remember there's close to 5x more characters than they were ships,I can only see this being plausible if we had 150-200 ships then they can accelerate ships as well

My dream additions to the game would be the Republic Commandos Delta squad, Bomo Greenbark and Dass Jennir, Cade Skywalker, Jerriah Syn, Deliah Blue, and episode 1 and 2 Anakin.
So if you get the beta and want to sign in to play on PC will it log you out of your phone version? Because the benefit of the phone version is that its alot more portable obviously. Will we be able to switch freely between the two you think?

So a great idea for an expansion of this game in the future would be to add some RTS type concepts where we also utilize our rosters. If you know about era of conquest it does this but also falls flat which is why I'd point to them and also halo wars 2. So as a guild it would be super cool to take ownership of a planet in a galaxy and then fight other guilds in a week long campaign on attack or defense. So this would also take advantage of our rosters cause we can get tags on characters for general and just like halo wars 2 each leader has effects and different units you can build under them as well as defenses. So as a guild you can use resources to upgrade planetary defenses as well as means of attack. The campaign can start with a battle in orbit around the enemy guilds planet and to get to the ground and plunder their cities. you have to defeat fleets and planet defenses.
After the space battle it’ll lead into ground wars where you can have assortments of troops and generals attacking different regions on the planet. So you can have darth revan pushing someone's shit in with an army of sith and tanks and see it. You can have upgrades on them that'll effect each general's individual units and the more you progress the more officers ( other characters in your roster) to that generals army.
For the planet your guild holds you can have cities and resources with city defenses with outposts and what not. They kinda do a small version of this in era of conquest but in terms of mechanics I feel like halo wars 2 mechanics would be best in that regard. So with this we can use our rosters and then get access to do ground battles with tanks and other units that we'd love to see and play around with. Tanks, snipers, artillery, air and other specialized units depending on the general you pick.
And the more you upgrade certain things the more army's you can build.
For the planet your guild holds you can have cities and resources with city defenses with outposts and what not. on that you can have power plants and other buildings within these cities to develop these technologies to do these upgrades as well as buildings to mine resources for them. The outposts can also be positions you place and develop to post up watch towers and units for extra defense and visibility during the events.
We can also have buildings in the city that would be like R&D for ships and tanks so we can add parts or mods to our ships vehicles and capital ships as upgrades. And also have a factory for troop training and development for better armor, weapons and skills / experience for individual troops
over all as you build up your planet and resources you can build more cities, defenses and other stuff to make it harder for plundering but also give officers a more prominent roll within their guilds. On the attack if the attacking guilds get through orbital defenses they can set up a station like in episode 1 where they set up the blockade for Naboo. And from there that sets up their command station which again can be something developed from the home planet outside of events so attacking becomes easier. So you'll have things for home defenses to develop and offense command posts to develop and as a guild you have to develop those individually which makes people more committed to a guild when they spent a lot of time and resources developing these attributes.
This would make this game way more playable more often instead of just sitting waiting for energy to refill or to have enough tokens to do a raid. You can be developing whole cities and planets with resources and research tech and weapons along with skills. Also adds a real time strategy aspect so if you make good choices you can win against stronger opponents.
I was literally downloading Blue Stacks earlier today to play on my Mac (although I decided not to because mac can only play through the browser) today, wow. What a coincidence.
I was hopeful that this was a friendly PvP mode outside of GAC with your friends.

PC client is huge. This means they certainly plan on the game sticking around for several more years. I've had my ups and downs with this game, quit and came back probably half a dozen times, and it's still my favorite mobile game. No more BlueStacks is fire 🔥

Curious if there will be an airplane mode option when you're doing those pesky battles you don't wanna risk load the tm of a team. I think that will end up being one of the biggest factors to this being a success or a failure in the eyes of the more competitive players.
I think this also adds another layer of how good the company is going since they’re adding this as well.

I have not really trusted BlueStacks and I have been wanting to create different content related to SWGOH, but it is finally here. I was hoping for something like this soon.
I have a feeling blue stacks will work better.
Would love this, SWGOH is fine on my phone, but my 2nd account is on my tablet which is fairly big and therefore annoying to pick up and put down to play SWGOH for 5 minutes, but Bluestacks just doesn't like my PC. Being able to open up my 2nd account on my PC would be awesome, ESPECIALLY if they bother to allow easy account swapping/instances like Bluestacks.
Will they still let you have airplane mode on the PC version as an option?

Looks like it wont be on Mac OS … when they list “PC, iOS & Android” … that implies it wont be on Mac OS (at least not initially) …
Hopefully they have multi instance capabilities similar to bluestacks for people that have multiple accounts, you'd think they would be aware of people having multiple accounts
