Okay everyone, let me explain this easily: There are no naturalized Filipino players; rather, a lot of our players like Phil Younghusband is half Filipino. Meaning, that his dad is British and his mom is Filipino.
We also have full blood Filipinos. Like rising star defender Aguinaldo.
To conclude, we have no naturalized players. We have players with Filipino blood.
Let's just say that our women our beautiful that's why a lot of foreigners marry them and have children with them.
I respect the Indonesians who said before the game that will lose around 10 - 0 scores. I believe that's what sport is. We take sides and we mock our opponents. I clearly respect that. And I am not mad. And for me it's okay because we all take pride and show our love for our country. So I respect all of you. I just explained what everybody needs to know so that there are no misunderstandings.

I was stunned reading some of the comments here. Why is it a big deal if players are not pure filipinos, as long as they have filipino blood, even a drop, they can play. Is it really that much of a big deal guys? Yao ming is a chinese but played in an american basketball team. Its called strategy guys! Philippine team management found strong players, not pure but mixed, put them in the team, performed well, thats a good strategy if you'd ask me. Accept the fact that they made an amazing performance, regardless of race. We all came here to watch the match, not to debate on which race they belong to.
It's probably a "WE / US-first" mentality that's plaguing our ASEAN neighbors. We've had this, too, back in the 50s until the 90s. It's thankfully more or less dissolved now.

Great win, especially over a country where football is truly in their daily routine. Azkals football quality has increased tremendously. I knew we would be ready by this year, if you look at the way we played in the past couple Suzuki cups, we were all over the place. Now, finally beating Indonesia (I was shocked we could even win by that much goals!), it's going to be exciting to see them progress even more. PS, gw hormat bgt dengan Indonesia. Also ajority of mother club teams on our league were so selfish to lend their best players for international game and only think of having league championship trophy.
James Yap Lolong i don't know man,,, almost Indonesian people feels that PSSI don't know how to build more friendly league for players,,, i mean, too much interruption situation for the league over here, like when presidential or parliament election come, the league must be stopped for a while. Police not give permission because too risk. From that, we wasting time too much. And about PSSI situation from reunion after split into two group, from this problem the league must accomodating the clubs from two side, so the league schedule becomes very dense. And from 2012 squad only two players i think, Maitimo and Syamsul Arif joint in this tournament. If you want to play for a certain country so be it. Look at Germany, the world cup winners. Their squad are full of players from immigrant families from other countries, or half-breeds, none of the starting eleven that night was even a pure german in the sense of the word. Boateng, Ozil, Aogo, Tasci, Khedira, tell me they look 100% Germanic to you? This is the world we live in now. Diverse and dynamic. We just happen to have these resources that we could tap into and help the game of Football escalate itself within our country. I'm starting to doubt the Educational System of Indonesia. It's 2014 already and most of its people still don't know what Naturalization is or applying it on a different context. I used to have such high regard for Indonesians as a people, but from what I've seen from reading comments here on UA-cam and on Facebook, most of them are acting like complete illiterates. I feel sorry for those Indonesians who show class and act professionally here because they get dragged by their countrymen. If you (Indonesians) can't accept the fact that countries from our sub-continent are mostly multi-ethnic (e.g. Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia), then don't watch the AFF Suzuki Cup because you will only be disappointed. If you look at world football in general, especially in the recent World Cup in Brazil, most countries who participated are Multi-Ethnic. Even the Champions ,Germany, are composed of multi-ethnic players such as Podolski, Ozil,Khaderia, Gomez, Boateng etc... and there is nothing wrong with that because it's 2014 already and not 1800s anymore.
Please let's stop this nonesense and enjoy the rest of the tournament instead.

Indonesia team deliberately lost the match against Malaysia in the final because some Indonesian players were said to earn some money after the match (the first final match) from someone. The problem with Indonesia is the corruption in football federation and immorality of some players. Nowadays I've witnessed a significant improvement in their younger generation, but the national team still sucks. Hopefully these future children will help.

They keep on telling PHILIPPINES has import players well in fact they are half filipino coz of their mother. The real naturalized players are in their team like Gonzales from Uraguay (Pure Uruguayan). And now look at these score.. Nil?? That's ridiculous! Undeniably ridiculous! i'm agree with that, no naturalized player in Phillipines but not in Singapore. Indonesian must know the difference between naturalized player and half blood player. Naturalized player such as Gonzales and Igbonefo, half blood player such as Bachdim and Maitimo.

Togar Claudio yes, philippines allows multiple citizenship; it is allowed in our constitution. our citizenship is based on blood like indonesia but we are allowed to have multiple citizenship which is reflective of our culture and history of being a melting pot of different ethnicity and culture. as long as either one of your mother or father is filipino when you were born, our laws recognizes you as a filipino. also, when a filipino marries a foreigner, he/she retains filipino citizenship even if he/she acquires the foreign citizenship of his/her spouse. that is why children from abroad are considered filipinos as long as their mother or father is filipino. that is why filipinos are angry when you call them naturalized players because because they are not; they are filipinos from birth. no need for them to undergo legal process to attain citizenship or naturalization.
Welcome Phillipines to The Big Five. The other four (Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia) were all champion in AFF Suzuki Cup before. Maybe Azkals can be the next one. From my opinion, Indonesia was a very good team in the past but recently I think they couldn't keep up with the development of others. How can the referee allow the indirect free kick like that? The players still complaining. Complete rubbish refereeing. From a Malaysian that sad to see how referee at international level behave like that. So sad
happens in the premiere league, happens in international football. Players complaining is counter-intuitive on the pitch given a referees decision is final. Everybody knows that. Get the job done, then express your opinion. Not the other way around. After all this is a game with rules, and it can be harshest at time. I do feel sorry for the Indonesian team but they should not have been napping when they were chasing the game.

paolo diano yeah im playing. in a right way referee should be penalizing the player that wasting time rather than go on with the freekick. it just kill the game dude. best example is when the referee should give a stern warning to a player that already have yellow card but instead giving another yellow just for a body contact. Dont be too excited dude. when it happen to your team you will fill the injustice being done. Im just being frank here.
FIFA Supposed to punish the referee and we were lucky if we didnt make because I know we will meet Thailand because Thailand os so Unbeateble at semifinal the last time we had this experience is at 2008.
