@crazyedswonderfulworldofso9370 I don't think you'll regret it if you do decide to 'make the move' my friend. You can sideload Apps just as easily, but you'd need to switch off Google Protect in the Settings to be able to do this or Google Protect will simply block the installation of files that it hasn't got in their 'library'. 😉

If they change it from android, I'm sure they will lose a lot of people. I know they will lose me, because that was my only reason for buying firesticks and fire tvs over roku and I own a lot of these tvs and devices.

@@TheBigb1973 yep I have 3 firetvs and about 5 firetv sticks I use with other tvs and car entertainment system., also have 70" firetv sitting on my dining room table that lasted about long enough for warranty to go out, Ive had more sticks but gave them away.. Have some of the earlier gen firesticks thrown in a drawer . I just like playing with them

That's good to hear that they are finally going to have 64 bit support again. I want to try to sideload the Dolphin emulator on a 4th Gen. Fire TV Cube. It should have at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage to better compete with an Apple TV. It's a shame you can't sideload on Apple TVs easily. The Socs in those are really great for the price.

Amazon fire TV, is the worst tv, that you can buy. You have to clean the cache on the fire tv, you can't load third party apps on the fire TV, only on the fire sticks.
