I also have renters with small children so I don’t want to have my volume to where it bothers them. I wanted to connect my headphones to my tv but didn’t realize that the fire stick did that. It plays on my phone and tablet using same internet, but when I try to plan on either in my firestick I get an internet connections error. I've tried different things online but none work. Everytime is updated. All other apps...UA-cam, Britbox, Paramount, etc... work fine. Any ideas. Ron
Yes I do have a VPN. I have done all the updates. Even restored my 4K firestick. Prime works on my phone and tablet with my VPN, just not my firestick. It actually worked on the firestick until a few months ago.
Turn off the vpn and you will know that's the issue. Change locations will help as well if you have expressvpn. Not all servers will work. Very common thing

That sounds like a very old first gen. You can get a 4k for just $19 right now on amazon. I would just get it replaced in my opinion. The first gen wont work with the new apps

So it's hard to say, but more than likely it's something with your wifi, not the stick. Try hard wiring it with ethernet, or a different router. Are you using the one the internet company gave you?

Watch our remote reset video we posted about a week ago. It will fix your issue in just a couple minutes. To be honest though you just have the wrong tv selected in the equipment section of settings on the firestick. Easy stuff. If you need a private video, reach out on Patreon.

My fire sticks (all of them after time) need to be reset constantly. It will either endlessly load with the white dots spiraling, or it will silently play videos really fast. I’m slowly moving to Roku because these things are junk!
I’m sorry that’s happened to you. There are things you can do to avoid this. Amazon does not tell you which is why I do these videos. None of our sticks have done this. App closing, cache clearing, and shutting the stick down when not using it is the way to go and 99% of people do none of that.

In more than 20 firestick we’ve had, that’s never been an issue. You have something running in the background. Hopefully you close all your apps and not just turn the tv off

No, it just give it a good restart. Needs to be done regularly. Nothing is erased

Depends. Are they Amazon apps or 3rd party side loaded? All Amazon apps will be there on your new device. Not the side loaded ones
