I personally don't think a remaster of the first 2 games would be very necessary. I'd just want the campaigns and the characters to be included in the 3rd title (just like L4D1 was basically included in L4D2).
favorite part of L4D2: Karmacharger. lemme set the scene for you. you're playing multiplayer with friends, you get to that point in almost every campaign where you have to activate something like a lift or whatever to clear the way, and then run like hell before the Horde overwhelms you. at this point, your "Friend" decideds to be the douchebag character from every zombie film, and shotguns you, leaving you on the ground as a diversion for the skullchewing undead while he books it. he starts to run off and before you can even finish cursing his name, charger comes out of nowhere and slams that asshole with a quickness, as if the AI saw his BS and delivered justice on your behalf. this happened EVERY time my dick friend did this. betrayal swiftly followed by charger. EVERY TIME. KARMA-CHARGER
It's even better because in a wide open area, Chargers are easy to avoid if you can see/hear them coming. In a narrow corridor, though, like most of those running sections, he's almost impossible to avoid.

L4D is quite a bit different from L4D2... not only how the director operates, but how maps are changed and the weapons are utilized. And that's not including the fact that there aren't the L4D2 special infected (which is a good thing, believe me).

Ellis is my favorite for the sole reason of his stereotyipcal southern style, the cap, the accent, his buddy Keith and that one mission when you take the NASCAR racecar

You must of missed the earliest version of arma 2 dayZ, when no one actually hacked the game, I will say I only have good memories of l4d however. No frustration or anything due to bugs.(which existed but you'd laugh about rather than get annoyed)

Literally the first PC games I was introduced to when I was like 12, played the shit out of this game. This is why I'm so comfortable with seeing blood and, even why I play PC games today. 450 hours of Left 4 Dead 2.

+silent saucepan It's just plain fun to play. L4D2 is fun mostly because of the mods, and in L4D1 is the gameplay better. Both games are really dynamic as well. The AI Director spawns everything (i.e. items, guns, infected, special infected) in different places everytime you play. So with that it tries to keep the gameplay fresh. I also love that you HAVE to use teamwork to progress. This is especially true for L4D2, because that game punishes you a bit harder than the first if you go alone. Killing zombies always stays fun. It feels really satisfying when you shoot a limb off of a zombie. L4D is a classic and never gets old. L4D1 > L4D2
I love playing the Left 4 Dead games with my friend. She's one of those "charge ahead" players, and since she's got a better head for maps than me AND has played both games so many times, she's usually always way ahead while I'm struggling to keep up or remove myself from a zombie dog pile. Sometimes she just straight up ditches me and the AIs to go running ahead. The best part about that though is the last couple times she's done that she's wound up getting jumped by a group of zombies and killed, while meanwhile me and the AIs finally break free from the hordes and have to continue on with the missions without her XD Occasionally I find her in the closets. It's just such a great time, and we don't always play it as often as I'd like to.
yeah my dude i got it back on xbox (my 2 hardest achievements was crowned and tanked both of witch are hard as hell to get) but its fun cause every playthough is different to an extent and you never know what you might encounter first
My favorite thing from left4dead/left4dead2, was probably the tank. x3 Funny story, when me and my sister were playing the second one, we were in dark carnival, and then a tank was around a corner, and I was the first one to go around the corner, sooo... I freaked out and almost died. 😂😂
I had one hiding in a corner, too, but I spotted it (because its big ass arm was sticking out) so I filled it with lead. It got pissed and came chasing after me, but it was totally worth it
the funniest one for me is when I was looking for the tank, and when me and the rest of the team turned around, we got smacked straight into the water and died 😂
Well watching a friend of mine play it at school on his laptop, my buddy on the other side made the comment "Man, Chargers are tanks that get like... no sex." to which I responded, "Yeah, it's why their single arm is so big."
Damn, really miss this hell of a game, I got an xb1 but don’t have internet on it and don’t have Xbox 360 anymore and miss the fun, stressful sessions playing this day and night. This will go down as best game for me🤧💯

what I love most about left 4 dead 2..... that it is one of the many Valve games I have never bought or played, but was able to be 'great' enough to stick around this long for me to have a chance to not only play it, but for there to still be an active multiplayer and mod community behind it. Something that VERY few games can lay claim to.
I loved how advanced the AI is. I loved that I could go through any level and it would never play the same. One minute you and your friends are killing zombies like a boss, the next minute a Tank spawns out of nowhere at the worst moment.

According to an interview I read from a valve employee (anonymous) they have about ten people on the game because they don't want it released from fear of being like Mass Effect where the ending made a terrible backlash against the creators.
Oh man I remember playing L4D in my uncle's xbox with my cousin and we struggle a lot with the split screen thing because we always look at each other's screens and mess up. But the fun part is that we're both playing it together and we have fun all the time, especially the witch-hunting (where i play as the bait) Good old times.

There's a reason the ESRB lost their shit at the 2 chewed off fingers and not the thumb. In the UK and most european countries, sticking to fingers up basically means "up yours", so the chewed off fingers made it look like the game was essentially flipping the person off.

Feedback is welcome:* 😄 *Intro- Immediately following L4D 2, government-prepared cruise ships are carrying survivors from around the country to a Quarantine zone in the Caribbean where a rumored vaccine awaits. Soon enough however, a storm knocks out one of the ships’ power and a fresh outbreak begins in the compromised infirmary. Now, four new characters of random backgrounds immune to the symptoms (VIP passengers dubbed “carriers”) will either cooperate to reach salvation or die alone.* *Cruise Ship- Lights are flickering, screams of slaughter echo from the decks above, and there's nowhere to go but up.* *1. Cabins and infirmary-* Below deck (Starting near the stern). *2. Middle deck-* Shops, spas, restaurants, dine-in theater, Captain's quarters. Find Captain's body for S.O.S. radio code. *3. You must parachute down and navigate the harbor while fighting infected to reach the boat and escape the fiery plane crash to safety. *Railroaded- The maritime pilot drops you off days later, telling you to follow the road to a nearby Amish village for help.* *1. Forested streets-* Infested woods, crashed cars, broken down carriages and tractors. *2. Amish community-* Farmhouses, automated reapers, woodland homes, church. You find a surviving farmer who suggests you head to the train station past a museum where he saw an abandoned train last time he went on a supply run. *3. Museum-* Exhibits, exotic antique weapons, colonial underground tunnel leading to the railroad miles away outside. *4. Railroad-* Follow the tracks through an infested town until you reach the station. *5. Train station finale-* One of you must get the train working while the other three hold off infected. Board the train once it starts moving and watch infected get mowed down on the tracks as you escape to the next state. *Military controlled CDC- This one ends with a tank.* *1. Fire station-* Garage, hose storage (usable against infected), work-spaces, kitchen, medical supply, training room, fire pole. Fuel up a truck to power-hose infected as you drive to the military safe-house near the CDC facility. *2. CDC-* You are captured and held in containment where the military reveals the government’s plans to weaponize infected for biological warfare using special chemical properties within the brains of carriers. Escape your cells, fight past the chemical-controlled infected and soldiers waiting outside, escape to the next wing. *3. Closed off infested wing-* Observation deck, open labs, engine rooms, freezer chambers, stairs to lower floor. *4. Experimentation chambers-* You discover that the vaccines are a cover-up for experimentation on carriers to enhance them into super-infected soldiers, but there is data that may lead to a legitimate cure. Reach the military’s armory. *5. Tank finale-* Commandeer an army tank, destroy the remaining military and super-infected to reach the helicopter, escape with evidence to expose the experimentation conspiracy worldwide as well as the research for a cure.
Back in 2009 while I was still serving in the Navy, i had my zune hooked up to my 360 and my John Williams collection playing, when i was down in the sewers, Hook theme popped on and remember if you had a Zune hooked up playing music through the TV, it overrides the audio of the game. So with this blasting theme, and a "YAH HAH!" I went through hordes jumping around with a sword easily hacking and slashing up zombies untouched all the way to the end of the stage. It is simply one of my favorite moments.
my least favourite is how there is 2 types of normal pistol(not magnum)and when u pick the one with no flashlight a flashlight one comes up and if u pick 2 flashlights then only one comes up and i nolike that is kinda bothering me a little
Tip: look for different places to hold out at the finales. My favourites are; L4D1: The upper floor of the barn at the end of Blood Harvest (ammo pile, easy access to the vehicle, two entrances) and under the helipad at the end of No Mercy. (two entrances, easy access to the vehicle) L4D2: At the gates of the plantation in Swamp Fever. (Ammo pile, easy access to the vehicle) I also keep a pipe bomb/boomer bile for the end so that my team (all AIs) doesn't get swamped. Hope this helps.

I got the game as part of Valve's Complete Pack which contains all of their released games. That pack was on sale for 20 bucks last Christmas. I didn't even really notice it in the pack until I was browsing my library and decided to install it.
Firm Clock It was great but come on dude, there is many great zombie games that are better than this. Dying Light, Dead Island 3 (hasn't been released but it looks badass), and the list goes on and on.

I got into left 4 dead when I got the second one back in 2009 and to this day, it’s still my favourite game of all time! Still hanging on to hope for a third but maybe not, still a sick game!!
my favorite thing about left for dead 2 on pc is the mods because i have a few mods with the hunter making michael jackson sounds and the tank is a mr krabs and stuff like that but i mostly like how ellis has a big crush on zoey in the passing, its so cute

I've had a horde come solely out of the safe room. But then, who says they wouldn't attack from behind? They're not exactly mushy brained corpses, they're just extremely aggressive, like a rabid dog.

The AI Director spawns everything (i.e. items, guns, infected, special infected) in different places everytime you play. So with that it tries to keep the gameplay fresh. I also love that you HAVE to use teamwork to progress. This is especially true for L4D2, because that game punishes you a bit harder than the first if you go alone. Killing zombies always stays fun. It feels really satisfying when you shoot a limb off of a zombie. L4D is a classic and never gets old.

I love playing the Left 4 Dead games with my friend. She's one of those "charge ahead" players, and since she's got a better head for maps than me AND has played both games so many times, she's usually always way ahead while I'm struggling to keep up or remove myself from a zombie dog pile. Sometimes she just straight up ditches me and the AIs to go running ahead. The best part about that though is the last couple times she's done that she's wound up getting jumped by a group of zombies and killed, while meanwhile me and the AIs finally break free from the hordes and have to continue on with the missions without her XD Occasionally I find her in the closets. It's just such a great time, and we don't always play it as often as I'd like to.

what I love most about left 4 dead 2.....
that it is one of the many Valve games I have never bought or played, but was able to be 'great' enough to stick around this long for me to have a chance to not only play it, but for there to still be an active multiplayer and mod community behind it. Something that VERY few games can lay claim to.

I loved how advanced the AI is. I loved that I could go through any level and it would never play the same. One minute you and your friends are killing zombies like a boss, the next minute a Tank spawns out of nowhere at the worst moment.

According to an interview I read from a valve employee (anonymous) they have about ten people on the game because they don't want it released from fear of being like Mass Effect where the ending made a terrible backlash against the creators.

I just got into L4D2 because of the beautiful Steam sales, and its just AMAZING. I love the online campaign and replay value of the game.
Oh man I remember playing L4D in my uncle's xbox with my cousin and we struggle a lot with the split screen thing because we always look at each other's screens and mess up. But the fun part is that we're both playing it together and we have fun all the time, especially the witch-hunting (where i play as the bait)

There's a reason the ESRB lost their shit at the 2 chewed off fingers and not the thumb. In the UK and most european countries, sticking to fingers up basically means "up yours", so the chewed off fingers made it look like the game was essentially flipping the person off.

Soon enough however, a storm knocks out one of the ships’ power and a fresh outbreak begins in the compromised infirmary. Now, four new characters of random backgrounds immune to the symptoms (VIP passengers dubbed “carriers”) will either cooperate to reach salvation or die alone.*
*Cruise Ship- Lights are flickering, screams of slaughter echo from the decks above, and there's nowhere to go but up.*
*1. Cabins and infirmary-* Below deck (Starting near the stern).
*2. Middle deck-* Shops, spas, restaurants, dine-in theater, Captain's quarters. Find Captain's body for S.O.S. radio code.

*3. Aircraft cabin-* The pilot reveals that he was bitten and his copilot was killed. He's the only one flying.
*4. Cockpit-* Defend the pilot from infected until he starts descent, he won't last long enough to land safely.
*5. Parachute finale-* Spotting a vessel in the river below, you radio a surviving maritime pilot. You must parachute down and navigate the harbor while fighting infected to reach the boat and escape the fiery plane crash to safety.
*Railroaded- The maritime pilot drops you off days later, telling you to follow the road to a nearby Amish village for help.*
*1. Forested streets-* Infested woods, crashed cars, broken down carriages and tractors.
*2. Amish community-* Farmhouses, automated reapers, woodland homes, church. You find a surviving farmer who suggests you head to the train station past a museum where he saw an abandoned train last time he went on a supply run.
*3. Museum-* Exhibits, exotic antique weapons, colonial underground tunnel leading to the railroad miles away outside.
*4. Railroad-* Follow the tracks through an infested town until you reach the station.
*5. Train station finale-* One of you must get the train working while the other three hold off infected. Board the train once it starts moving and watch infected get mowed down on the tracks as you escape to the next state.
*Military controlled CDC- This one ends with a tank.*
*1. Fire station-* Garage, hose storage (usable against infected), work-spaces, kitchen, medical supply, training room, fire pole. Fuel up a truck to power-hose infected as you drive to the military safe-house near the CDC facility.
*2. CDC-* You are captured and held in containment where the military reveals the government’s plans to weaponize infected for biological warfare using special chemical properties within the brains of carriers. Escape your cells, fight past the chemical-controlled infected and soldiers waiting outside, escape to the next wing.
*3. Closed off infested wing-* Observation deck, open labs, engine rooms, freezer chambers, stairs to lower floor.
*4. Experimentation chambers-* You discover that the vaccines are a cover-up for experimentation on carriers to enhance them into super-infected soldiers, but there is data that may lead to a legitimate cure. Reach the military’s armory.
*5. Tank finale-* Commandeer an army tank, destroy the remaining military and super-infected to reach the helicopter, escape with evidence to expose the experimentation conspiracy worldwide as well as the research for a cure.

Back in 2009 while I was still serving in the Navy, i had my zune hooked up to my 360 and my John Williams collection playing, when i was down in the sewers, Hook theme popped on and remember if you had a Zune hooked up playing music through the TV, it overrides the audio of the game. So with this blasting theme, and a "YAH HAH!" I went through hordes jumping around with a sword easily hacking and slashing up zombies untouched all the way to the end of the stage. It is simply one of my favorite moments.
I've played this game for over 5300 hours, will l4d3 still come? :(

One of my fav games, of all time. never gets old, still playing it till today.
Tip: look for different places to hold out at the finales. My favourites are;
L4D1: The upper floor of the barn at the end of Blood Harvest (ammo pile, easy access to the vehicle, two entrances) and under the helipad at the end of No Mercy. (two entrances, easy access to the vehicle)
L4D2: At the gates of the plantation in Swamp Fever. (Ammo pile, easy access to the vehicle)
I also keep a pipe bomb/boomer bile for the end so that my team (all AIs) doesn't get swamped.

I got the game as part of Valve's Complete Pack which contains all of their released games. That pack was on sale for 20 bucks last Christmas. I didn't even really notice it in the pack until I was browsing my library and decided to install it.

But then, who says they wouldn't attack from behind? They're not exactly mushy brained corpses, they're just extremely aggressive, like a rabid dog.
Kellen Anthoney a fucking smoker got spawned right next to me once and before I could kill it it disarmed me instantly (apparently just being next to it activates his choke ability instantly without giving you any chance to shoot back when tangled). Also fuck the constant zombie respawning in dark carnival making the finale look like a joke compared to it
