my guess is that those who have been playing forza horizon 5 for ages now and have already gotten bored of it, they will not come back, as they have already experienced everything and gotten all the cars they wanted. when this releases on PS5 i would not be at all surprised to see 90 percent of the playerbase or more playing on PS5.
Agreed, for me Forza was the only game that kept me from switching to playstation when i decided to upgrade to a next gen console, now i'll probably switch to a ps5 pro whenever gta 6 releases (eventually)

Last year Xbox stated that no game is off the table for other consoles. Even Gears of War and Halo. This was pretty easy to see coming. Xbox does not care about exclusivity and, as much as they'll state otherwise, do not care about the hardware
I feel like with FH5 coming to PlayStation, it’s like an extension in the wait for FH6…
Maybe they are also doing this to give PlayStation players a taste of forza so that when the next game comes out as an exclusive players will want more to buy an Xbox to play it

I can see horizon 6 still launching this year but as a timed exclusive for pc and Xbox. Get the ps5 users feet wet with fh5 and hype fh6 as much as possible. Kinda similar to Indiana jones
This is what I think they’re doing. Whether or not exclusive, that is certainly the idea.
I truly believe this is what going to happen, FH5 releasing on ps5 is an introduction to the Forza horizon for ps5 players to get them hooked and hyped for FH6

That's why I hope the Xbox version and PS5 are two separate entities... Same game but different users and servers. One of the few times crossplay will be a nightmare!
I don't know if I told you before, but I see it as a good move, not just for the PlayStation community, who will finally get the chance to play a Forza game for the very first time, but also the devs themselves, as this will give them a hell load of money to spend on getting more people, licenses and marketing, hopefully for the development of FH6.

@@FBGDon2Gunz Demand for sim racing is only there on playstation because they have a good sim racer being gt7, Forza motorsport is so terrible in sim racing compared to GT7 so you guys don't have a good enjoyable sim racing game its not coz theres low demand although generally sim racing games are lower demand then simcade / arcade.
If ps5 incorporates psvr into fh6 I'd jump ship to Playstation 100%
Xbox could defo afford that and imo I think it'll be bigger then GT7 even on playstation since GT7 is more sim and theres literally nothing like Forza on PS. However, I just don't see why they'd go above and beyond and make the playstation experience that much better like even adding a ps5 pro version is too much. However, if they add a ps5 pro patch too that'll be so crazy - I already sold my Xbox since I know were their clearly heading.

They already said the console war is over,they lost,this is also something they talked about 10 years aGo,putting their games on PS was always a plan
Anything they can do with their next console will need to be priced around the playstation console so theres no way their gonna be blow it out of the park. Secondly Xbox hardware isn't selling nearly as good as playstation and playstation is becoming more of a locked in system with people buying mostly digital games, they can't just sell all their games and switch to Xbox so Xbox has pretty much lost already. Thirdly, their not making money from hardware and their not even making enough money from game pass - That's the real reason their making sure all their biggest games and exclusives is coming to ps5.
Also, there probably would be more car racing games on console if Activision (the publisher of the Call of Duty series) revived Blur & Rockstar Games (the publisher of the Grand Theft Auto series) revived Midnight Club. I think you should probably mention these game franchises in a video one day. Just a suggestion.

Yep, I stand my ground. I think they will launch fh5 on ps5 and a few months later fh6 only on xbox and pc, and a year or so after, fh6 on ps5 too. Because if they postpone fh6 launch's on xbox, just because they launched fh5 on ps5, people will go mad.

5 10 year old me would be really happy to see forza horizon come to ps5 since i was a massive playstation player back in the days and i only got an xbox to play forza when forza motorsport 5 or 6 got the porsche dlc and got forza horizon some time after it just before fh3 came out but these days i dont really care if fh5 comes to ps5 since i dont have one or proberply will ever buy one

Technically it has been done successfully in Nascar however Forza has an engine slowdown feature if you hit a wall which is really good in preventing exactly that.
It’s a great thing, better for players and better for the game to grow even bigger than ever, more money to fund the new FH6 and other future Forza’s
I don’t even play FH5 anymore so it isn’t a big deal.
The only good thing about it arriving to PS is that populated lobbies are more common
Well Horizon 5 will not last on xbox and pc until 2026 that much is certain, Playground won't do anything that daft because in terms of business it's not the best decision to make and is how you loose more players, honestly for the gap between Horizon 6 and Horizon 7 Playground will need to completely rethink about how to keep the game fresh for that long and they have to give us more than 2 expansions.
I said it before. I think this is a move also involving political side of things where if Forza team wants to feature the most requested location (Japan) Forza team would have to make their biggest EP available for PlayStation players to have a taste too. I see Forza Horizon Japan more of a possibility IF the next Forza Horizon also is available for PlayStation. More player count, more money, possibly better investments for a better Forza Horizon in the future ie more customization etc.
Personally, I’m fine with FH5 being brought over to PS5. It could be the only way for other open world racing games to actually try to be good. TDUSC is just bad compared to older titles and The Crew Motorfest was too buggy and lackluster to play (in my opinion). I also can’t wait to play the game with my friends on PS5 who are looking forward to racing against my cars and driving around together.
I think the reason they are doing it is to get ps5 players hooked on forza horizon before fh6 comes out then those Playstation owners buy a xbox to play it. Fh6 wont comeout right away on ps5.

im pc player recently switched to ps5 i love it that fh5 will come to ps5 and i hope fh6 comes too but i know that it will take some time it wont come with the initial release like pc or xbox
I don't see the point of FH5 coming to PS5 being 4 years old, why didn't they just wait for FH6 so PS players get the full life out of the game like us Xbox & Steam players have.
Probably to build a Forza PS fanbase first, then create more hype and money when FH6 releases

This is most likely the end of New Cars being introduced. There could be a chance for a "one-off" special occasion, but I wouldn't count on it.

How I about FH5 pretty nervous and excited at the same time as a person who likes both Forza and Gran Turismo.
I'm excited to see some my friends on PSN play FH5 but I'm nervous about GT7 if people are gonna stop playing it and I'm also nervous about cross-save I don't know I can trasfer my Xbox save to PS5 which I highly doubt.
Not sure how much this would affect Gran Turismo 7 given they are different driving games.
There will be no cross-save progression between XBOX and PS5.
I only hope to see GT someday in PC, the only PS exclusive I care

@@gregoryhause00 Consoles are way cheaper, convenient, can easily be used on PC, supports multiple controllers very easily to play with family / friends, lasts way longer then a PC, easier to sell, way easier to maintain instead of worrying and dealing with software and hardware issues - Make sense?

The Xbox series X is an amazing machine. The only issue i had was that it switched off during gameplay and also felt very hot afterwards. Its performance is better than the PS5. But unfortunately i had to got rid off it. And ended up with the PS5 which is also very good
It obviously means that Xbox is done for as we know it. Especially since Spiderman hasn't returned to Xbox after 2014. The last mainline Spiderman game on Xbox is The Amazing Spiderman 2 from Activision. Someone should make a video about it being the last Spiderman on Xbox. Would be sad for Forza to be on other platforms while Xbox still doesn't get Spiderman.

No chance it'll be 3 months or 6 months at the very most, theres no financial benefit from waiting - their not gonna sell or get more xbox players when everyone with a ps5 knows its gonna come on the playstation anyway.

I got fed up with Xbox and bought a PS5 a few years ago. Tbh I'm happy to see Forza is coming to PlayStation, FH5 is the only thing I missed.
The only reason why I have a Xbox still is because I don’t want to buy another £400 console with a terrible controller. Instead I keep my Xbox and save £400 with a good controller.

Maybe having fh5 on ps5 will bring people over to Xbox when fh6 comes out, as most of us have played fh5 for 3 years plus and no new content coming out after march people will stop playing it because there will be no incentive to play, all we need is fh6 to be announced .
I heavily dislike exclusive games and I'm really glad more and more games are coming over to other platforms aswell, mostly this has been console exclusives coming to PC, not necessarily the other console but it's a start, Horizon which is arguably a very big series now going over to PS could mark the beginning of the end of exclusive titles which would be great because many Xbox or PS exclusive games that came to PC have been some of my favourite games ever and I think anyone should be able to experience and enjoy any game regardless of what they play on.
Of course this can only apply to bigger titles, Indie games have a hard enough time getting off the ground just on PC so them also getting console ports is rather unlikely atleast early on but bigger games should always release everywhere, I think many would agree that by now the console war between Xbox and PS is pretty much over because it doesn't matter so games need to stop being exclusive, it just splits people apart for no reason.

By the time Motorfest added an island as a free expansion, every other video game of the competition had already failed. That's what people are looking for free content and that's a real live service. Horizon 5 is no longer officially in the first position, and what you call the world evolving is an idea stolen from the crew 2. They did this for the first time, they created a completely new graphic design over an already existing place on the map, it's not even a real evolution, it's just a visual skin... The only thing I would buy the game for, is the selection of cars, because you have a few cars that you can only find in Forza Horizon, but the map and game mechanics are not impressive at all
If i must compare games. The Horizon series cant be compared with Gran Turismo. But when it comes to Forza Motorsport which is also very good. I will choose Gran Turismo
I don't why people keep asking what's the point of owning an Xbox? To me is very clear, pay game pass and you'll have your ganes on pc and console plus a lot of those are cross gen or play anywhere so if you decide to buy them thru xbox you might no have to pay twice for the same game and Sony exclusives you play them on pc. The way I see it there is no reason to buy a ps5 if you have a pc but there is a reason to buy a xbox if you already have a pc and that reason is that it serves as an extension of your pc but in the living for example
Im switching over, i no longer need an xbox🤣 i gave up on motorsport 8 within a week (luckily paid £1 for the game pass that month) and wont return to it. Horizon is on life support unless they actually make 6 great. I suspect now that this is releasing this year on ps5 has pushed 6 back another year
i feel the "GT7 for FH5" trade doesnt make sense after thinking abt it. GT7 is a motorsport title, not an open world racer, also Forza Motorsport isnt getting ported to the PS5 making it still exclusive to the Xbox. if GT7 was to come to the Xbox, Playstation would have no AAA motorsport title. FH5 being added to PS5 is purely to compete against NFS or TCM and obviously money

FH6 won’t be released for at least 18 months, then it will be released on both Xbox and PlayStation at the same time. There won’t be another Xbox games console just the hand held devise or PC. Everything is amalgamating these days for cost reason, just look at car production, and games consoles are no different. Xbox will become a games only producer and leave the field clear for PlayStation to manufacture games consoles.
No Forza Horizon 6 this year. GTA6 is coming this year and Forza Horizon 6 needs it's launch space which pushes it to 2026.
Since GTA6 pushes Forza Horizon to be launched in 2026, Microsoft decided to make themselves a Quick cash throughout 2025 and Playstation is the Target.
It will be stupid for Microsoft to give up on Xbox consoles. WE Xbox fans have build a library of games including past FH games in our Xbox accounts. It will be a huge blow to us.
By launching the game on playstation, without a doubt it will be successful there. A good decision to expand the title and to reach more people. I believe it may even topple Grand Turismo 7 player base on Playstation.

It’s a good thing so turn 10 can get more money to produce fh6 making it better, not have a terrible launch, resulting in a better game. They probably wont release fh6 on ps consoles because it is still partially and Xbox exclusive. If they didn’t do this then less money for turn 10 and fh6 might just turn out like fh5.
