Free Fallin I actually had to rewind the video a few times when you were doing the snow scene and the summer Sighn I’m like how in the world did that guy get that to do that then I had realized that that video must’ve taken a really long time and you confirming that there was no green room was holy cow those guys great at doing videos. And about Richard that guy is super awesome I actually own an original soccer and I love it and I bought a wrist rocket haven’t had a chance to use it and I am always advertising like I’m selling his product but reality is his products are freaking awesome. Just my personal Opinion. 🙂
hillbilly Yo for someone to film a scene in a tshirt 6 months in advance when it's 25 degrees outside, they would have to be a special kind of nuts. Apparently that's the kind of nuts I am 🤔 As for Richard, yes he is great, I am anxious to try the wrist rocket and also the new HHX, I keep seeing very cool videos on it.
Weaver... I've fallen and I can't get up! The SAKA has revolutionized rope solo rock climbing because we can climb from an anchor point to the top of a pitch... then ascend down and clean the pitch unhook the anchor point and (thanks to richard) hall ass back to the top of the pitch and reset the anchor for the next pitch. sans the jumar pull yourself back up method. In highrise window cleaning... it's just handy to be able to climb up a rope (with a knee ascender) then ascend back down to the ground (camp ascender)... but most of the time we use electric motors (skyclimber) that climb 8mm steel cables. We also have battery powered acenders that climb 11mm ropes and if we want we can attack from the roof and take the elevator back to the top (which is stone age and how most people still clean windows). The rolling roof anchor is the bomb because we move horizontally and vertically spending most of our time cleaning windows and less time running back up the stairs or waiting for the elevator!
Excellent, Joel … loved your commentary. I particularly love your comment about your YT subscriptions: "I don't care." That's my approach and my third option to patents. I've had several patents = way more trouble than they're worth. So, I just give my ideas away to a large company that I like. That way they're better - I'm better - the industry's better. And, I don't have to fool around with any patent chit. WIN - WIN - WIN.
Weaver needs to get their heads around the idea that they just have a patent on a specific bungee configuration, but they don't own knee ascenders. These lawsuits are just plain bullying.
If I were to ever have the money to pay my patent attorneys for the reconfigurations that I have made I would be able to retire but running a full-time roofing company broken down into four other divisions of home improvements I don’t find they have that kind of time or patience to deal with the analyticsBut this video was very very helpful thank you
Free Fallin for me being in the industry only three years I became highly addictive Jimmy in all the toys that were introduced to me I have caused so many headlines and so many waves with my innovating ways that I have been in constant battles with a lot of the people in the tree industry.... I’m just having fun
Not only would I never buy from them again but for as long as I climb, any&every time that brands/gear/purchasing comes up I will be quick to mention this (alongside CMI who IMO are a disreputable company as well, though I don't know of them doing anything as offensively brazen as what Mike/Weaver are attempting to do to Mumford)
Another good video my friend. I love my SAKA mini. I have a feeling that this controversy is going to end up paling in comparison with the upcoming battle of the industry vs. Petzl over their blatant theft of the Rope Wrench... Also, how exactly does your Solar Rotation Replicator work anyway? That thing is amazing!
Thanks! It's really simple, you just have to reach 88 miles per hour at some time over a six month period. It takes a looooot of patience to make it work. Also some Libian terrorists with plutonium to spare.
As I do what I do reconfigure reconfigure and bang my head I came across this video again LOL but this time it became very interesting to me.. Too bad a bunch of smart people couldn’t play in the same sandbox
Ha, UA-cam is a great big sandbox for me, I get ideas, bounce them up a notch, then someone else sees me and does something even cooler. Ally oop my friend.
Greg Brown The time you do want to have a patent, is if you think a big company might want it in a few years. Then they can use it and might pay you more for it, but otherwise, not worth the expense in my opinion.
I can see how patents and monopolies are related, but they have a key difference. If I come up with a new kind of rope, figure out how to make it in some new way. I should be able to get a patent so I can sue anyone that tries to steal my idea and get paid for all the work I did. A monopoly is when a rope company buys or ruins all the other rope companies so they own all the rope patents and every rope has to be bought from them. They could make garbage rope, and sell it for any price they want, that is a monopoly.
@@FreeFallinTrees not quite there are standards for climbing ropes therefore the junk ropes won't "fly" now as far as ropes and monopolies go how many legitimate rope manufacturers are there? lol. the problems all arise from greed. patents only serve a single person or at this point a billion dollar entity. therefore forcing the "little guy" not only out of business but also the consumer into being gouged by those conglomerates... I'm not against making some coin but I am against being financially raped. a far better solution is a one time license fee and a statute of limitations on how long that license fee can be applied. that's fair market and stops any chance of both monopolies and blatant theft. patent law is nothing more than guarantee that those with extreme resources and over priced mouth pieces control the market. you said it yourself lol "you'll never beat the guys with billions "
I just feel in love with your channel
Ha, thanks for watching Andrew!
another awesome video really like the green room affect that was way cool !
hillbilly Yo Hahaha, believe it or not, there was no green room, just an absurd amount of patience and planning. 😉

Always an awesome show! Thanks.
Thanks Dan!
Great video. Love the name tag.
Thanks for watching Duane, I wasn't sure if anyone would notice, it's one of my all time favorite films.
I'm impressed.I didn't think you had the hand eye coordination to hit a baseball.
Nathan Arievlis I think you mean - spaceball.
Yes Spaceballs. If Mel Brooks seen your videos, he'd subscribe
Ha, Mel Brooks is my Yoda, I learned everything from him.
Good student haha...One of those times I wish I was familiar with star wars cause I had an opportunity for a witty star wars response here
I dropped the Spaceball
You da only man I know kin climb sidelyways!

Grats on your friction device. Seen it on Tree Stuff the other day.
Weaver first patent shouldn't have been granted in the first place

Never buying from Weaver again.
Anthony Villagomez ya I'm good. They had every chance to turn this around and they shot themselves in the foot over and over.

Also FYI, I believe Mike is no longer at Weaver, so now they have his patent and they get all the credit for digging this mess up again.

"My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." True story...
wow, you could already predict this video last winter :-)
Wait! Erik I just noticed, did that weather switch finally work?!?

Free Fallin I wish life was easier LOL at least we’re having fun God bless my friend
Good advice...coming from a guy who just put a video on UA-cam of his car's flat tire (front, left). :)
Chuckles that gives it better traction after I flip the weather switch 😁
Tonight there's gonna be a jail break !! Somewhere in this town !
Nailed it! that's my own digital instruments and mix down though.
Good mix ! Great taste in music ! 🎤
Did u ever find ur akimbo???
No, I think it's gone forever. The good news is the new version should be out in a couple of months! Can't wait to get a hold of one.
I got something to Patton now I don't think I will in less I went with a big company

6:25 😂
Haha, space force...
patents are BS because it creates a monopoly one cannot exist without the other. "supposedly " monopolies are illegal 😂😂😂 see how that works 😮
